  1. Those sound effects are amazing, especially the Plasma Pistol and Rocket Launcher.
  2. what is this abomination I was hoping for a drawing of my av, or something. That picture is slightly offensive, lol.
  3. Aw, we lost our Pohatu. And still have no Kopaka. Any takers?

  4. That's a nice set to have, rrhuntington. I think it's only right that you learn something about him, maybe become a little less confused. His name is Vakama. The story arc this set is from, as with the arc before it, is a prequel arc. In the present, he is the Turaga of Fire, an elder who provided wisdom and guidance for the village. Turaga are what Toa become when they give up their power for some purpose, in his case to awaken scores of comatose Matoran, the average inhabitants of the Bionicle universe, instantly. Naturally, this means he had to have been a Toa at some point, and so he was. What are Toa? Protectors of the Matoran who have elemental powers. And so he was a Toa of Fire, in the arc preceding the one this set is from. Due to a complicated series of events, at the beginning of this story arc, he and his team were mutated into Toa Hordika, half-beast versions of themselves. They lost their elemental powers almost entirely, only able to fire explosions of their element using their Rhotuka spinners, though Vakama was the only one fortunate enough to also get weapons that used his element. Rhotuka are those spinny things on their backs that you launched with that ripcord. Obviously, in the story there was no ripcord, but for the toy to launch it you needed one. Anyway, due to their bestial instincts, they had to fight against their darkest urges as well as the Visorak horde (this I will not explain in detail, just know that it was the bad guys for that story arc). Vakama actually gave in to these urges as a result of having the most stress, and so defected to the enemy side up until the end, where one of his friends reminded him what he fought for and got him back. Eventually they were returned to their former selves. So there's the simple version. Now you know, to a limited degree, what that red guy standing on your shelf is.
  5. That is a huge collection. I was not so fortunate in that regard. All my sets were taken apart in one horrible attempt at an MOC. Before I could restore them, through a combination of bad luck and my little brother's carelessness, the pieces were scattered, and some were broken entirely. Back when I did have sets, they were few. 2006 Jaller Nuparu Axonn 2008 Gorast The sad part is, I never intended to get Gorast. I bought Takanuva, but due to a shipping error got Gorast instead, and they refused to give me a refund or allow me to trade it back in. To make matters worse, Gorast was my least favorite Mistika to begin with. Had it been a character I liked, I wouldn't have minded as much. This time around I intend to get Tahu '15, and a bad guy for him to face off with. Never had much money for toys, but it would be a shame to get no Bionicle sets whatsoever.
  6. So I'm Tahu, Mereel's Lewa, Centurion's Gali, Sparky's Onua, SD's Takanuva. Anyone want Pohatu or Kopaka?

They are the Toa Mata, the original six heroes of the Bionicle story, protectors of the island of Mata Nui, named after their Great Spirit, they who fight against Makuta, and defenders of the Matoran.

yeah that answer was basically worded to create the biggest number of follow-up questions in your head as i possibly could.

We're the cool kids at LEGO

  7. Anyone up for avatar grouping with Toa, kind of like how some users did with RWBY?

      There, now you got it!

All we need now is Kopaka, Onua, and Pohatu.

I'm the outcast who likes being Nuva but I do think the Mata look better. Either way I'd go with Takanuva any day over any of the other ones

Actually, I like the Nuva better. It's just that I figured the best tribute to Bionicle would be done using the originals.

  8. Argh, another week without a RWBY episode!

  9. I just witnessed a Twam shout.

WHAT? I would give everything I have just to see one letter shouted from Twam!

  10. I can't see a major difference on my laptop screen, but the movement does look slightly smoother.
  11. There didn't seem to be any real announcement over it, but Halo Waypoint is actually periodically updating their image gallery for the MCC and H2A. There are many more on the site, but I picked the best ones (IMO) to show them all to you guys. So there's the new gameplay/engine screenshots. The textures are a little less detailed than I had expected, but they'll probably improve on that in time. Unless having to layer it on top of the original graphics restricts them too much. The designs are great though. Two new cinematic screenshots. First look at Tartarus, and another angle of the Arbiter. This CGI is amazing. So, what do you guys think?
  12. At the least, you should be able to have your H2 emblem in H2A.
  13. So, Bionicle's confirmed by Lego to return in 2015. In honor of that, I've changed my av.

  14. Mark 4 looks ridiculous for some reason. Maybe it's all the armor plates just being too consolidated and huge. I thought HCE Chief looked a little silly, lol. But then everyone looked silly, back then. I have trouble deciding between H3 and H4's design. I'd say H4 though.
  15. I have extreme doubts about whether we can complete this level of difficulty. Wait... D: Difficulty. (CE has difficulty settings, ha.)
  16. Guess it's done. Now let's bump the difficulty up a notch. Halo stuff only. A: Anti-Air Wraith.
  17. Vadam. (The family name of the Arbiter in Halo 2 and 3)
  18. SAOII so far, unfortunately, sucks.
