I helped my older bro with some challenges today (as in did them for him) and caused him to rank up past me. In return, he said he'd buy me Gold next week. It's been too long since I've played online.
-
The custom challenges are being ridiculous. I have over 10,000 unpaid credits from them.
-
I got an Extermination in Matchmaking! Sadly, it was on my older bro's profile, because to this day I still have no Gold.
-
My older bro has Gold, and we shared his profile for Matchmaking since I lack Gold. Evidently, while military tactics and careful precision work well on Campaign, Firefight, and Custom Games, on Matchmaking we would do well to charge in at the enemies and be lightning-fast when we fight them.
-
Well, you have the ability to double team enemies so easily. Of course.
-
We prefer not to play split-screen on Matchmaking, visibility matters to us more than having some backup. It took us 6 games to notice that charging in worked better than our usual tactics. Usually because in a real war, people don't get troops literally popping out of thin air behind them. Charging in seems to keep us from having someone come up behind us, and it gets us more kills in less time.

While the internet was down, I won ONI: Sword Base on Legendary with no deaths, with Tough Luck, Cloud, Catch, and Thunderstorm. On top of that, I got a Hero medal. Does this stuff get added to XBL next time I connect to the internet?
-
Just tried part of a level with the Mythic skull added to my usual skulls. The result was insane. I could win the level like that, but it would be very hard. I can't imagine playing with both Mythic and Famine.

I remember how much the weapons have to start of with, and make a good judgement on how much is left when using them. Shields don't matter as much for me, since I take cover a great deal.
-
I also take cover a great deal. When I move, I stick to cover. When I have to advance under fire, I throw grenades as a distraction and move to more cover. When I fight, I pop in and out of cover to shoot, switch weapons, and reload. When the enemy uses a grenade on my cover, I use Armor Lock so I don't have to jump into the open. But sometimes I have to allow a few enemy shots to land so I can kill someone, or they use Concussion Rifles and Fuel Rod Cannons to make my cover (unless it...

(unless it's cover with some space so I can move away and stay hidden anyway) stop being so useful.

Just did The Package on Legendary and died only once. Would have been a no deaths run, but 3 Elites just ran past Noble Team to kill me. Naturally, an impossible situation.
-
My older bro and younger bro both play on Heroic, but my older bro ALWAYS gets the smart enemies. They each stood in front of a Grunt on Tip of the Spear. The Grunt would not fire his fuel rod due to close range. But my older bro is the only one who got stuck with a grenade.
-
I got the luckiest double kill ever. I shot a Grunt's methane tank off, killing him, then he flew and splattered another Grunt.

Noble Team is supposed to be immortal...but while Kat was gunning for my older bro's Wraith, they actually took so much fire that she fell out and died.

R.I.P. Kat. lmao
-
I never thought it was possible for Kat to die from gunfire. I mean Jorge got slashed by a sword elite multiple times but didn't die.
-
I thought the same thing. But she died.

Introduced a friend to Halo, starting with CE. The Flood terrified him.

Agreed, both of you. First time I faced the Flood...
"WHY ARE THEY STILL COMING?!"
-
lol... my first encounter was in Halo 3 (my favorite). I kept yelling "WHY WONT YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!!" I was more aggrevated than afraid.
-
I was also more aggravated than afraid, they don't look scary at all. But the hordes kept coming endlessly.
Oddly, the Halo 3 Flood are the least dangerous. Except for the level Cortana. Then they bring you hell. My first encounter was in Halo 1. They just. Kept. Spawning. And they were almost immune to melees, in direct contrast to Halo 3's very melee-able Flood.

Playing Halo PC again. I REALLY hate how you can miss even if the enemy fully occupies the space of your reticle.

Watched some Halo 3: ODST gameplay. It looks cool. I loved the scene with the ghost crash. (Ghost explodes) "Amen."

Well, got to play at my older brother's house instead, so I can earn credits again! And his TV is awesome for graphics.
