  1. After watching a few vids, I like to think that the Jackals started laughing maniacally after the Focus Rifle was decommissioned and replaced with the Beam Rifle.
  2. Xbox One only works in those 21 states?! This is utterly ridiculous. I live on a U.S. territory, not even a state. There is no way I'm buying that pile of scrap now.

Well, I guess so. Thanks for possibly clearing stuff up.

But it's going to take a lot more than that not being true to get me to buy one.

  5. Those cover a Spartan's whole body. Now unless Spartan visors are made in a manner that makes everything be perceived much smaller than it really is... That is way bigger than a Skirmisher shield.
  6. The number of meme pictures mocking Xbox One is astounding. But I can't find them funny at all, because I'm sad that they're true.

If that were true, JL, no one would ever have laughed when I jokingly claimed to be the Batman.

And that sounds about right, Vangelis, metaphorically speaking. Except I just try to ignore it all.

  7. That IS a bubble shield. Unless you mean the Deployable Cover. But no, that's WAY bigger than a Skirmisher shield. Ok, hint time. If you like headshots and are low on ammo, the answer will ruin your day.
  8. Nope. I said it was somewhere between a Plasma Grenade and a Skirmisher Shield in size, and had a function more similar to a Skirmisher shield.
  9. So should I just give the answer, and let the next riddle maker be the one with the closest guess? (Whoever said Skirmisher shield would get to make the next riddle in this case)
  10. Welcome to the forums! I'm also mostly a campaign person, but I seem to do well in multiplayer most of the time. But how do you feel about Firefight?
  11. That wouldn't mean what I think it does...would it?

  13. Mostly agreed with Azaxx. It's not worth getting unless Halo 5 is the best Halo ever made so far. Because if it isn't, we can all just see the story online, and play our old Halo games.
  14. Decided to give Halo 4 a second chance. It was not a good idea. Still too easy to be fun. I got bored and played Crow's Nest with some skulls on instead.

And don't say LASO. That's overkill.

  15. Never played H2 or ODST. But here it goes, from easiest to hardest. (Based on Legendary observations) Halo 4 - Retarded enemy AI, the enemies never focus fire or continuously fire, they're slow-moving, and there's ammo EVERYWHERE. Plus the aim assist. The range you're at doesn't matter very much when your bullets are magnetic. Also, Prometheans are so predictable, whenever they sword rush me I've already moved three feet away from their attack. I mean, it only happens when they've been hit a lot, and most of the time, they sort of bow and twist to the right before they rush you. Halo CE - The game is hard the first time on each difficulty. Well, haven't tried Easy ever, but whatever. But after that it's not very hard. Sure, the hitboxes were an embarrassment, and the weapon selection was limited, but overall it isn't that hard. But there were moments that were frustrating, like BANSHEES or the huge number of SpecOps Elites on Keyes. The Library, though, I don't understand. It's no harder than the average CE level. It's just longer. Halo 3 - This one's really fun. But the enemy AI's huge improvements and an entire host of new ways to die make it hard regardless. Anything involving Wraiths (Not AA) was extremely frustrating, and the enemies could shoot through your vehicle plating with almost no damage dampening. And yet the vehicles themselves were almost indestructible. Halo Reach - The first level of Halo 3 is harder than the first level of Halo Reach, but take it any further than that and Reach is harder. Invincible Hunters, hordes of smart enemies with high health, lots of well-placed explosions, and the fact that if you step anywhere you will be met with focused and continuous fire. Enemies could dual-wield, but you couldn't. And the Sabre flight...if you're shot, get out of the way immediately. Unlike how you can fight for a second or two while being shot on foot, if you have a Seraph on your tail and wait even a second before moving out of the way, you will already be dead when you reach the cover. Thankfully, Halo Reach is so dynamic and fun that I enjoy all of that.
  16. Seemed to get a habit of always using the Thunderstorm skull in Halo 3. The Fog skull rarely makes a difference unless fighting Flood. But considering the behavior and strength of enemies in Halo Reach, I doubt I'll want to continue that practice when I play it again.

I have a habit of starting true SSSLASO games.

I also have a habit of never getting to a first checkpoint.

I tried a SSSLASO run twice. In Halo 4 I was able to bring down a few Grunts, but then I got disoriented and killed.

In Halo 3 I just plain couldn't hit anything.

  17. That moment when you realize that half the Combat Forms have twice your health, and the other half has the same amount you do. Not that it's a problem. But it was a bit funny.

  18. The lighting effects and model complexity are on par with Halo 4. But the textures. Textures make a big difference IMO, especially if the lighting actually reflects on them well. That's why I think Halo Reach looks more realistic than Halo 4, even though Halo 4 is undeniably better in the lighting and detail. And that's also why I think Halo 3's graphics are better than Destiny's. The lighting effects are in a similar range, and even though Halo 3's multiplayer armor lacked good texturing, its campaign texturing for Chief and the enemies was more realistic. Never said that graphics make a game lame. I said Destiny's graphics themselves were lame, and I meant that in context. By modern standards, they are kind of lame.
  19. Hmm. Gameplay looks cool, sort of like what would happen if you took an RTS game but then experienced it full scale, on the ground, as just one guy. Story seems like it's been done before in some way, but then again this is Bungie we're talking about here. Their stories have never been done before. The details later in the game should probably prove this to be another Bungie original. Sounds like an impossible fight though. One fortress city of humans against all that surrounding them. The Traveler's probably containing humanity's only hope, or something like that. And of course, probably some secret too. Graphics on the other hand are lame. They're somewhere between Halo 2 and 3's graphics, a disappointment considering how far games have advanced in that department.
