I don't actually own Reach, but I can voice act. I need a description of the characters though. I base voices on appearance and personality combined.

It got me into Halo. The funny part is, a friend refused to give it to me for free, then he realized he had no lunch and begged for my sandwich. I agreed on the condition that he gives me the game. I was prepared for a "meh, just another slightly cool game" experience, and then... "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. This is the best game I have ever played." I couldn't resist the urge to try a bunch of other Halo games for a long time at an arcade, and when Halo 4 came out, it was my favorite one. Went and bought an Xbox just to own and play Halo 4. But no, I don't play it anymore. Just thought that since it's on-topic, I'd express how much I love that game. Without Halo PC, I would never have gotten into Halo.

A Spiker (or SMG) and a Plasma Rifle are the scariest thing ever. That is, in Halo 3.

Suppressor. It may lack range and accuracy, but I have a Lightrifle for that. Suppressor's got the sheer power I need in CQC. Chances are, if I'm beyond Suppressor range, I'm using my Lightrifle anyway. I only keep an Assault Rifle on me if I use my anti-vehicle loadout, just for the good ballistic damage against vehicles. (Mantis shielding? Bah. I do keep a Plasma Pistol in that loadout too.) And I only use a Storm Rifle if I'm on Campaign or Spartan Ops and can find no ammo.

Why does halo IV campaign on Heroic feel so easy?
Axilus Prime replied to PublicAlliance's topic in Halo 4
Because Heroic is always easy? Try the stuff the guy above me said. I went for this one challenge with Famine, Tilt, and Thunderstorm, and...the Knights on Midnight Legendary became really annoying. At first you don't notice it, then it just gets ridiculous. -
Rate the Spartan armor above you!
Axilus Prime replied to Axilus Prime's topic in General Discussion
I'll go by tradition from the original topic on the other site and write a short detailed review. You can all do this, or just rate in a short post, but I like doing it this way. Gray and white lack contrast, but they are a respectable color scheme and your blue visor gives it the kick it needs, to a point. Hazop's not exactly one of the best helmets IMO, but the blue visor makes it look good here. Its size relative to the other pieces makes it fit well enough though. That torso looks weird, I just don't think it's very protective to carry a bomb/tank thing on your chest. See, those legs are what I call the "fatty legs." They just have massive thighs and are too curvy. They only look right on a female Spartan, and even then only sometimes. Thankfully, the Rogue shoulders offset that enough for me to not utterly hate it. Rogue shoulders are big enough to do that, and they look cool. The forearms are boring. Too smooth, and the sharply bulging area just bugs me. 7.5/10. Manages to hold and balance itself together, but doesn't look all that great. -
I loved it when they said that. Always made me wonder how they survived the first time.

85. Attempting to walk through a Pulse Grenade that's been there for 2 seconds.

Well, this is a carryover thread from another Halo forum, but a fun thread. Basically, you post a link to a pic of your armor, taken from here. Don't change any settings, just put in your GT and click the retrieval thing. Then right click on the resulting pic, click open image in new tab, go to that tab, and copy-paste the link here. You must do this every time you post, for convenience. So, you rate the person above you on a scale of 1 to 10. 1's lowest, 10's highest. My link is in my sig, so I don't have to bother putting links in my post.

LOL. Easy. Then it'd be no fun at all. On Heroic a Knight becomes a soft pillow just waiting to be shredded by my gunfire. Easy would just make things ridiculous. But the checkpoints and skulls are my main concern. If the respawns were back before the wave of enemies and logical, then completing a mission would be an actual accomplishment. And it would prevent stuff like the time I died, respawned in a crowd of enemies 10 times, then respawned in midair above a lava pit and died, then respawned 5 more times in a crowd of enemies before finally landing at a sniper position...at which point I was shot as soon as I spawned. Thankfully that didn't result in more death.

I'm just wondering what you all think of Spartan Ops overall. I think it's fun, and the lag only happens sometimes, (then again, I never use Matchmaking for Spartan Ops) but it could be better. The whole infinite lives thing slaps my suspension of disbelief in the face with a wet fish, and so every death breaks my immersion. I think they should have made it just like Campaign's checkpoint system. Secondly, the number of enemies is ridiculous (though not impossible to deal with even if they implemented checkpoints). They should scale it to the number of players so that if it's solo, it's like Campaign, if it's with two, it has twice the enemies, etc. And third, skulls. Skulls would toss in some new Spartan Ops Challenges and overall give more options. Plus the Iron skull could be thrown in to make the death of any player cause a revert (So the whole Fireteam Crimson survives and wins each time thing makes proper sense), which basically means my suspension of disbelief would kill the wet fish, dry it, clean it, cook it, and eat it. What do you all think?

Lightrifle. It doesn't seem to get much attention, but at mid ranges it aims better than the BR, and in a scoped fight it's usually the winner. Combined with a Suppressor you get a good allrounder combo. And of course the Incineration Cannon is just glorious fun.
-
The original intention of the DMR was a good long range weapon and the worst possible close-quarters weapon. This is not the case. I think they should find the right combination of nerfs to different stats to make it as it was intended.
-
Suppressors compensate with range and inaccuracy. They're meant to be a closer quarters weapon than most close quarters weapons. Not OP. Neither is the AR. It actually isn't a completely useless chunk of metal now.

The Mantis is better at tearing apart all the enemies in an area, and it can defeat a Scorpion if the Mantis pilot is skilled with his vehicle (I proved it against several people) but the Scorpion does have a much bigger chance of victory. Mantis vs. Anything but a Scorpion wins unless a Wraith is close by. Seriously, where's the Wraith in this situation? It splatters any vehicle but a Scorpion or other Wraith. XD Scorpion vs. Most Things, Including Mantises usually wins, and at long ranges it makes a mockery of the Wraith.

Mantis. Seriously, in the past I have always owned with that thing unless I let my guard down. Once destroyed two enemy Mantises while using a damaged Mantis. Of course, I had to get out afterward, but still.

When I first saw this, I thought it was about how massive the reticle was without a scope. The hilarious part is I used no-scope it to kill a Knight who stupidly decided to teleport right in front of me on Spartan Ops. But yeah, like everyone said, balancing. It's a sniper that is always a OHK with a body shot, it needs that laser to keep the balance.
-
A Suppressor with a damage boost once killed me to death on Adrift before I even realized I was fighting two people at once. But a Sniper sounds good, it's a OHK super accurate body shot. And then the SAW...now that's just madness. Without damage boost it can tear enemies apart at precision range...so it would be a nightmare.

I only thought the Banshees on Forerunner and Shutdown were the only frustrating parts...on Legendary.

Oh wow, this forum's way more positive than the other one! I think they're ok, but a real bossfight with the Didact that ended with a cutscene when you win would have been better. Oh well, leaves room for a return in Halo 5.

Xbox 360, definitely. I can't use the PS3's blocky, tiny controller to save my life. I'm glad Halo's a 360 game, better than being exclusive to the PS3 for sure. XD

Well, this site seems a lot like a certain site I've been on for a while. Familiar interface in every way, except with a few more features! But I don't even know where to start, there are so many subforums and topics... So, anyway, I'm Axilus Prime. I got into Halo a while back, starting with CE and finishing it, then moving to play some of 3 and more but not all of Reach. After that I tried Halo 4, and I loved it! Best game so far in my opinion, but I think it could use some improvements. So I'm basically here to talk about Halo (Obvious), possibly set up some games, suggest improvements to the game if that's allowed here, and overall just have fun hanging with other Halo fans. Anyone have any ideas for where I could start? Oh, and Wort Wort Wort! (Still can't forget the first time I heard that.)
