Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Wouldn't this pretty much be another variant of the Flood Tank Form from Halo 3?- 91 replies

I have to admit, having a 1.0+ K/D with the storm rifle is incredible feat. Kudos to your determination.

This is a great idea, for the previous reasons mentioned and another. It could help Halos fanbase grow larger and survive since it would allow other players such as CoD fans, or anyone else to try out and fall in love with Halo for the first time without having to drop $60 on a new copy. This could sway CoD fans from the dark side and change what game people get in the upcoming quarter or year(since some people only make one $60 purchase a year)

Very well done, you nailed Chief's helmet(by far the most difficult part of him to draw), and him as a whole this time. Is this original or did you reference a picture because the pose seems somewhat familiar. If your going to do another piece of art, try to make one of Halo 3 era Chief (with the gash in his chest plate)in the jungle.

Your welcome, and no need to apologize for the lack of perfection, nothing is perfect. I must not of read that it was your first drawing, because it is even better now that I know that. Since most halo drawings from newbies are disproportionate, poorly shaded and rather deformed and yours is none of those you deserve a interwebz bro fist

Very well done, the only nitpick I can make is that the helmet is kinda squished but it doesn't take away from the drawing. Did you use any fine point ink pens for the shading, because it seems to stand out more then if you used a darker leaded pencil like an 8B. Keep up the good work!

Personally I'd like the Halo 3 magnum back... sort of. Even though everybody loves the CE magnum (including myself) I feel that it, and even Halo 4's and Reach's don't fit the role of a secondary weapon. They seem more like a mini primary precision weapons like a DMR or BR but slightly weaker. I can remember multiple times that I've seen people going on a tear with the magnum on 4 and Reach or even playing entire games with it. At this point it doesn't feel like a secondary weapon that I would switch for a carbine or something as soon as I found one.The newer incarnation of the magnum is the key reason why dual wielding wasn't a viable option in Halo 4 or won't be in Halo 5(if they stick with this magnum, and to my knowledge a decent amount of people want dual wielding back). Meanwhile Halo 3's magnum was the exact opposite and was so worthless that you would almost stood no chance in h*ll if you had to switch to it in combat. Although some people were good with it, and the presence of dual wield made it semi decent. I think the next incarnation of the magnum should find a happy medium between total dog **** and mini primary weapon. Where you can fall back on it need be, but you cant run wild with it. Or just reduce it to Halo 3's and bring back dual wield. How it would work: One clip can't fully drain shields or smaller mag, no bloom, Halo 4's fire rate cap, 2x zoom can stick around since the visor zoom in Halo 3 was crap, also make it so that if it is dual wieldable it's accuracy goes to ****. With the magnum being nerfed it opens the doors to other dual wieldable or one handed weapons being introduced or being brought back such as the , SMG, spiker, mauler, brute or regular plasma rifle(even though the storm rifle replaced it), or forerunner one handed weapons that are counterparts to those previously mentioned. Since if any of these weapons were faced up against the current gen magnum they would get destroyed (similar to what happened in Reach) due to its higher damage, higher fire rate and headshot capability.

Yeah betrayal trolls are one of the worst things on Halo, and I hear where your coming from with players that keep going. There is always a need for new players but some are just ridiculous. Sure this guy goes 3-26 in KOTH but you help my team win, no problem , but then this other guy goes 3-26 but also don't even attempt to control the hill. Since I was a noob at one time, I can understand that some people arent efficient at gunfights, but there is no reason for anybody to totally ignore the large icons that say Flag, Dominion B, Hill etc if you specifically choose that mode to play without killwh*ring in mind(meaning the ignoring of OBJs) or to shoot at the rest of the team that are the same color as the player in question that don't even act hostile, so there is no room for confusion.

I'm not sure if true skill exists in Multi Team, because every time I hop on that playlist I'm stuck with an SR 40 or below who has NO idea how to play the game, running at people across the map with an AR, trying to shoot at me when I'm playing the objective, or just driving around the ghost in KOTH with no intention of helping me. I can understand not everybody takes the game as serious as I do but why would you play Halo 4 if you have no intention of playing the game mode properly, especially in a playlist like Multi Team where teamwork is everything. Also why would you keep playing if you w/l is 26 wins to 300 losses or your deaths outweigh your kills by over 3000, This one particularly puzzles me since I've met no one who enjoys losing every game, getting yelled at by their teammates, and just going so negative that your helping the enemy team more than your own, aside from master trolls.

Unfortunately not, but the single player only aspect doesn't diminish the pure awesomeness of the DLC, since you are supposed to be a one man army similar to the Terminator or Rambo. Also the sheer number of pop culture and movie references and just awesomely cheesy one liners will make you have an equal amount of fun when compared to co-op in other games. Besides if it had co-op like vanilla Far Cry 3 I'm sure it wouldn't be as enjoyable.

FAR CRY 3: BLOOD DRAGON is a newly released game by Ubisoft and is a standalone DLC to Far Cry 3. I just finished the game last night and it was F***ING AWESOME. Since I'm a huge 80s film and 80s action film fanboy probably influenced my love for this game but I kid you not when I say the game is one of the best I've played in years, and I'd consider the amount of games I play rather diverse. So if you want to play as the most bad*** protagonist aside from The Chief, Sgt. Rex Power-Colt, listen to awesome 80s music, relive the 80s( even if you weren't alive during them), laugh at good jokes, one liners and movie and pop culture references or just like old school action movies play this game. Also I was wondering if anyone else has the game and wants to offer their two cents on what they liked about the game or just want to discuss about the direction they took with this DLC. P.S. You get to use a handheld minigun and listen to Long Tall Sally by Little Richard, so whats not to love.

Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
To me it seems rather silly for 343 to bring in new enemies whose original purpose was to combat the Flood during The Forerunner-Flood War and not have them combat the parasite. A massive 4 way fight between the UNSC, Storm Covenant, Prometheans, and Flood would be very interesting to watch and to take part in. So their return wouldn't exist just for the fans but to expand the universe and build a potential plot where the Didact returns but tries to activate the rings in haste instead of using the Composer.- 91 replies

Sounds good, I'd be happy if they had this in Halo 5, heck they could replace Rocket Hog with it. One question, would it have the throwing effect on smaller vehicles (as the Railgun and Concussion Rifle have) if it's not a direct/critical hit?
-
DMR NOOBS YOU WILL FEEL THE WRATH OF MY BATTLE RIFLE AND COWER IN FEAR AS YOU HEAR ITS ROAR OF FURY. Insanity aside, at least there will be more variety and it's nice to know that 343 is addressing an issue that has been plaguing since release, I hope they keep up the good work.

Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Removing the tentacles and gunning down hordes of combat forms while you make your way up the body or to higher ground to engage with the head of the Gravemind would be the best way they could pull off the bossfight. Or they could just pull an anticlimactic quicktime event (looking at you Didact fight ) which would be miserable.- 91 replies

Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Yeah you and everyone else Alien 3 and Resurrection suck hardcore, and Colonial Marines is a game that just got released a little while ago. It got bad reviews but I personally enjoyed it because I love Aliens. It also is probably the biggest gaming controversy in recent memory, since the E3 demos totally lied about the game, and were FAR better than the final product.- 91 replies

I'm just looking for a friendly group of people to play matchmaking, customs and Spartan Ops with. I'm not Uber Hardcore or anything but I like to win and have fun. My other friends pretty much play CoD exclusively and I'm tired of playing solo. I play pretty much every game mode but my favorites are: Slayer(any), Dominion, Flood, Team Swat and CTF. I do go to school during the week and work part time but I play after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
What I hated about the flood in previous games is that the missions that were centered around them were absolute h*ll and made Legendary seemingly impossible at times (Looking at you the 7ish MC/Arbiter/flood missions in Halo 2...). If the flood missions can be made to the epic proportions that we've discussed then this issue will be extinct. Also I just got back from vacation and saw the new ideas that have been added since I last posted and they are awesome! @ForgeMonitor, there is something similar to the sleeper in Aliens : Colonial Marines and it's called the Boiler. The mission that they were in was the most suspenseful mission in the game. They would be a great addition to the Flood collective.- 91 replies

Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
To add to the Gravemind tricking the Chief plot. As you progress and find the source of Cortana's signal or beacon a group of Promethean Knights teleport into the room, also drawn by the signal or by the knowledge of the Gravemind being there. Suddenly large tentacles erupt from the floor and sweep aside the Knights. They then grab one remaining Knight and tear it in half as Chief watches. Then loud laughter is heard as the Gravemind fully reveals itself. And if 343 wants to keep with tradition they can have a cliffhanger like in Halo 2.The Chief sees the Gravemind aims a Spartan Laser at it and says some bad*** one liner. Then the credits roll. A lot of people would hate it but it would get me totally pumped for Halo 6. This campaign could also be a great time to bring back the flamethrower and incendiary grenades.- 91 replies

Halo 5 needs Flood that People wont B*tch about
Gojira replied to Backdemon's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
Another idea I have is the almost return of the Gravemind. If I recollect the flood as a whole is one large mind. So imagine if on this colony world you hear the Gravemind speak to you like in Halo 3. Commenting on his return and the absence of Cortana, which would make Chief infuriated. This could then lead into a a possible boss fight or a plot twist where the Gravemind uses leftover pieces of Cortana to mess with the Chief in Cortana moment-esque sequences, or to draw him into a trap.- 91 replies
