i just think that with all the content that halo has (weapns and vehicles wise) this idea could work all that would be required is making up planets and mild back stories and boom you've got a full blown halo universe where the humans and the covenant are fighting for supremacy. and honestly who doesn't love flying around in the banshee's and the hornets from halo 3, toss people into space fights like the one mission on the reach mix the two aspects together and you have a killer game

So i recently sold my copy of star wars battlefront 2 and got to thinking why hasn't a new game like it be done with halo. i know i for one would love to play a game and have the choice of being covenant or human and choosing whether i want to fight on the ground along side a bunch of computer players or play a game in space and have the choice of what type of ship to fly and get into dog fights with. personally i think that halo wars should have been something in this vein rather than being an rts it should have given players the opportunity to jump in on an absolutely crazy all out war type of combat. i feel there is plenty of story room for this kind of action for instance reach wasn't the first time the covenant attacked the unsc. the first attack took place on harvest and whose to say there wasn't a bunch of other colony worlds that got attacked along the way ,before or after the master chief went to the first halo. anyway thats my nostalgic two cents
