  4. This map has curves in all the right places and just look... perfect. Seriously though, I'm a man who likes forging, but to even attempt pulling something like this off would drive me up the wall! Because of that, I always admire every single race track forger for putting so much time and effort into such a smooth course. Kudos, TRED, kudos!
  5. I would like to see more maps with dynamic features in them, with components that can be altered at the press of the button or the turn of a lever. I'd like to see an indoor map with some doors that you have the ability to open and close as you please that are operated by those wheels you have to rotate to open heavy doors (I forget what they're called) or a map where you can reverse the flow of gravity and fight on the roof.
  6. Nice try. Caboose the Joker or some other card in a deck of playing cards
  7. I'd be glad to help out in whatever way I can. But define "early morning hours". Are we talking midnight, or the crack of dawn? If it's the crack of dawn, like 6am, then I can't make it since that's 3am over here. D:
  8. I would choose Super Mario, where picking up a flower or a leaf can give you the ability to throw fireballs or a tail with which you can fly.
  9. It would be the building with the landmine and pallet on it, or the "Sniper Tower"... the building shown in the last screenshot. But I know that frustration of not having enough pieces to work with.
  10. Any complaints I'd have about this map would be nit-picking, since it looks really well done! I have to commend you for your work! I'm always amazed at the dedication and effort put into replicating a classic map from the good ol' days... it's something that I wouldn't have the patience to do! The only thing I'm not overly fond of is the colour scheme and the underside of the ramp leading up to the top of the red building. I'd consider changing some of the colours to either blue or neutral outside of the buildings, since it seems to clash a little. As for the ramp, try using other pieces to see if you can eliminate the geometry jutting out from the bottom if there are any wall or block pieces still available.
  11. Command and Conquer Bros. You have to recruit new units and construct new buildings in order to complete a platformer level.

    Newbie Here!

You've picked a nice little slice of the Halo community to join, not to gloat or anything!
  13. The Legend of Duty Imagine playing the Legend of Zelda, but with twelve year-old squeakers swearing at you every time you solve a puzzle or lose during a boss battle.
  14. Since it was for only one day and not a permanent ban, you can go back after your ban is up and try asking again. If Waypoint's moderators are as unreasonable as Caboose says they are, then you may not get far if you display any sort of negative attitude; but, going there is the only way to find out for sure. I digress, taking out your anger on a fan community won't help you out. All we can do is offer suggestions as to why you may have been voice banned.
  15. There are no crooks working on our enforcement team since this isn't 343's website. If you want people to treat you nicely on a forum, treat others nicely first. If you were spouting off insults on the mic like that or spamming annoying sounds, that's probably why you got a voice ban. But if you didn't do either one, then maybe someone else in the match was and you got blamed instead. If you want answers, go to Halo Waypoint; complaining here and getting mad at a fan-made community won't help you out.
  16. Active Camo should go back to powerup status and not be a recharging ability. Thruster Pack could be replaced by being able to dive; by pressing the sprint button twice in rapid succession, you can dive out of the way a good distance at the cost of a large chunk of stamina. Also, it just makes sense. Wouldn't you dive out of the way of danger? Or if it's going to stay as an armour ability, bring the Dive ability back from Reach. OR just go back to the traditional way of avoiding danger and bunny hop away while praying that you don't die. XD Autosentry is pretty useful. It's a good distraction and can lay down some additional fire. It's the opposite of the Hologram: it stays still and shoots instead of running and holding its fire. Regeneration Field could also benefit from becoming a powerup instead of an armour ability. It could be a one-use item that you use before you eat it. Alternatively, it could be replaced by Reach's Drop Shield while maintaining its one-use aspect.
  17. I couldn't resist implementing the face into a profile picture somehow. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I hit the forge on and off, although I've been getting back in the groove within the past couple weeks. I hope to have some of these maps show up in playdates in the future (ones that I'm not hosting that is XD), and I'll also have a couple of test runs randomly.
  18. I thought instead of making a new thread for each map, I'd have them all in one neat package! This was back when I first got here and wanted THFE to feature some of my older (and much much worse) work. Maybe I should make a new master thread which shows off my available maps!
  19. Oh boy, I haven't posted in this thread since I was a green member. That was quite some time ago! Anyways, I have a couple of maps to show off, and many more under construction. WALLMART The evil corporate giant has arrived in Halo 4... and it has brought the Plague with it. You must survive in the store after hours while hordes of monsters descend upon you! Throughout the store, there are many tools critical to your survival. Although the shelves are nearly empty, you should be able to hold out. Each cash register has a scanner (or Boltshot) to help thwart this imminent threat. Every centre aisle has one weapon, with no two weapons alike. Wing panels hold Magnums and Plasma Pistols, for your shopping and shooting convenience. The aisles at the right side of the store (looking from the office above the auto shop) contain different armour abilities, none of which respawn. Once you pick one up, you'd better hold onto it for dear life. Fight or flight? The choice is yours, with three vehicles located throughout the store. Be careful, though: a vehicle does not guarantee safety! Navigating through the aisles can be dangerous, and the plague can attack from any angle! When night falls, you will be in for the fight of your life! Never fear, though, power weapons are scattered around the store. You just have to know where to look... ...since you never know who or what might be watching you... So yeah, it's a Flood map! More specifically, I had the Plague gametype in mind while making it, and I based it off the store I work in. It works best with a bunch of players. 10 would be the ideal number, but it can support 16 players. It has yet to be play-tested, but I have fixed a spawning issue. KORIDAI v1.1 I presented this map to THFE's Tuesday Night Testing back in July. While it played beautifully, there were a couple of very nice suggestions given to me. Someone suggested a shipwreck in the middle... ...check! Someone else- I think it was AbleSirThomas- suggested that only one hill be used in the middle of the water to encourage movement... ...check! The Wraiths used to be hills, but due to camping shenanigans, they were repurposed as artillery. Also, the respawn points have been reworked. Instead of respawning on "Respawn Island", you now respawn on platforms behind your team's wharf inside a soft kill zone. And finally, I found the rats' nests to be overpowered... ...now they're not absurdly powerful. I have replaced the snipers in the rats' nests with a power weapon that alternates between games: it will be a Fuel Rod Cannon in one game, and an Incineration Cannon the next. THANKS FOR READING ERRYBODY!
  20. Perhaps it could be implemented into its own gametype. There could be a variant of king of the hill or CTF where you can take the vehicle back to your base to repair it, to its spawn point away from the objective. Alternatively, the driver could park it in a garage or on a specialized repair pad. The vehicle could only be repaired slowly over time when it's not in use.
  21. Will there be a recap posted of the Elders vs. Young'uns playdate?

  22. You know what's fun? Playing Halo. You know what's really fun? Playing Halo with a special someone.
