  1. Ah well, if I don't sleep tonight, then I'll just be really cranky for Thanksgiving.

  2. Brain: let's go to sleep - Body: lol no

  3. What's this?! Maestro is evolving!

    1. The Stig

      The Stig

Oops... Sorry about that, I pressed "B". And then I threw an everstone covered in crazy glue at you.

  4. I would love to see the chainsaw/boomstick combination for Flood. And if you don't get that reference, I'm disappointed.
  5. If only you could put palm trees and music into the map... either way, I like it! Although looking at the pictures, I'd add some more decorations if the budget allows for it, like little signs hanging from the sides of buildings or Piantas made from dominion pieces. And to stay true to the spirit of Super Mario Sunshine, you should only allow Storm Rifles while playing on the map, since they fire blue bolts and you use a machine that shoots water in the actual game. Maybe put some armour abilities in the FLUDD boxes, such as the Thruster Pack or Speed Boost in the Turbo Nozzle box and a jetpack in the Rocket Nozzle crate to further simulate Delfino Plaza?
  6. I have to say that Halo 4 has the best forge maps. You've got a large open space on Impact to build whatever the heck you want, while you can also take advantage of nature features on Ravine. Erosion has a variety of environments merged into one map, and Forge Island has four different glitch areas that encourage creativity. You can build a map up in the sky, on the water, inside the islands, or even underwater in a certain area! I for one absolutely love forge in Halo 4, magnets and lack of precision editing and all. The other forges are not as fun to use, since Halo 3's was originally intended to be used for minor edits and Reach's was not aesthetically pleasing.
  7. It just seems like a cash grab that includes all the armour that people have acquired by the use of hacking and all of the lousy DLC packs (the Champion Bundle isn't lousy though, I still think it's the only DLC worth getting).
  8. Hellish mode on Tangents will be so fun to test.

  9. Absolutely not. I still have my Nintendo 64 and Gamecube even though I have a Wii, so why would I get rid of my 360 if it's outclassed by a more powerful console? It's got backwards compatibility and memories on there.
  10. That's what I've heard. If the main franchise goes the MMO direction, I wouldn't go for it. I didn't want to play Final Fantasy 11 or 14, since they're both awful MMOs, so why would a Halo MMO be any different? You'll never see Maestro the Stampede on WoW or LoL or any other MMO. If you do see someone called Maestro the Stampede, it's not me!
  11. Good news everyone! First off, why do I keep saying that? I guess I just like to deliver good news? Second, I have a two-week free Gold membership card in my Halo 4 case that I have never used. So between now and Christmas, I figure I'll be forging like crazy to build some awesome maps and give everyone some nice Christmas goodies. If you happen to know me in person, which is extremely unlikely, you can stop by and have some peppermint bark when the yuletide season rolls around. Third, I have started tinkering with Forgeball as I stated in my last post. So far I have an almost functional hockey gametype in the works, with my very own Kappital Imperial Stadium as the official testing ground! Everything works so far except for the puck despawning if it falls beneath the ice (which for some reason there are cracks you and the puck can fall into despite the overlapping dominion shields) or if it goes into the team benches. In Grifball, the ball despawns instantly if it hits a soft kill barrier, but not in Forgeball. One thing I can't get the hang of is aiming with the Gravity Hammer. I guess there's a reason why we don't play hockey with them, since the puck can go in pretty much any direction when you hit it. Or else maybe a Boltshot isn't an ideal object for a puck... Finally, I regret to announce that Space Invaders and its gametype are next on death row. The numbers aren't high enough to warrant keeping them on my File Share. If they don't increase over the next little while, they're as good as gone. So if anyone still reads this thread aside from myself, thanks for reading and have yourself a good one!
  12. Maybe a weapon like this could only have one magazine and be more of a one-time use weapon. The Incineration Cannon only has three rounds to start and can OHKO a Mantis with a direct hit. But yes, more faction unique weapons would be nice. It seems as though the Covenant has all the unique weapons, whereas the Forerunners just have weapons that function like the other factions' weapons. Although the problem with such unique weapons is that they may have a very narrow window of use. The Grenade Launcher was good at killing small infantry, such as Jackals and Grunts, and disabling vehicles. But against Elites or Hunters, the Grenade Launcher is practically worthless.
  13. If Halo turned into an MMO, I think I'd stop playing. MMOs are not my cup of tea. In fact, I don't even like tea... so that means something. D: I just don't want to spend a lot of my free time playing a... game. It's not productive. :/
  14. Halo 2 is a nightmare on Legendary, followed by Reach, then Halo 3, then ODST, then 4. But don't underestimate any Halo on Legendary. If it's not tough enough, activate every skull and see how that goes for you.
  15. 1-3 and 7-8. Most commonly 3, but the others apply as well.
  16. In Halo 2, I absolutely adore Quarantine Zone and Gravemind. In Halo 3, Halo and the Covenant are really fun. In ODST, the Coastal Highway is #1. In Reach, New Alexandria has a lot of fun stuff to do. In Halo 4, they all kinda... stink. I don't know, there isn't a particularly memorable level in Halo 4.
  17. I prefer a Halo activation over the colourful laser at the end of ME3.
  18. Hopefully with the free release of Halo 3, it'll attract new players who will play through the rest of the series and join our mighty community!
  19. Cancer is a cold-hearted killer that strikes far too often... and I don't want it in a world made of love and peace!
  20. Mini Slayer was the gametype I was referring to. It started off as a mod, and then 343 adopted it as an official gametype in Action Sack. Race started off as a mod too, although it was always possible to pull off by tinkering with King of the Hill. And since Ricochet came along... well, you know the rest of the story. The modded edition of race is fun though, since you can adjust the sizes of vehicle and player models. Try being a giant driving a tiny Warthog and not laughing at what happens. XD
  21. The Prophet of Regret is my leader of choice. Nothing like spamming Locusts.
  22. Minigames are one of the best things about Halo. Heck, I would not have joined this forum were it not for them. Using the Halo engine for everything that's not the main objective of multiplayer Halo: GENIUS!
  23. There's a community-made gametype called Paintball that uses only the Plasma Pistol. If 343 adopted it as an official gametype, that would make getting Plasma Pistol mastery a lot easier and a fun experience for all. Buuuuut 343 only adopts modded gametypes and calls them their own. D:
  24. If we were hosting any minigame playdates, I'd be more than happy to get my gold membership back.
  25. My memory of the test runs I did on this map are a tad fuzzy. I think they did respawn, although I also remember some problems with the gametype. But the problems didn't matter at the time, we were too busy cowering in fear at the zombie in the Mantis. XD
