  4. Releasing new map soon... Is it a remake, or an official?

  5. Those, that are patient, and seek forgiveness, will only get further. Holding a grudge on a game studio over a game coming out with lesser expectations isn't the way to go. You tell them these things in a civilized manor, and maybe, just maybe they will return the respect that you gave out.
  6. My thoughts for Halo 5... Sorta. - http://343i.org/2mw

  7. So far, the only issues I'e encountered are things such as infinite lobbies until an auto disconnect, and all the audio excluding things such as the bullets hitting you, some medal sounds, and such making noises. Everything else would be mute. Now, on topic of ideas - Grab a chair guys and gals... 1. Prophets Bane Nerf - Now, I know I'll get a good amount of hate for this. But the Prophets Bane is simply an over powered piece of weaponry. Now, I don't say this because I get killed with it a lot, and I will be honest, I do. But I get a lot of kills with it myself. It feels too strong, and just think, a mostly one hit K.O weapon with a speed boost..? Well, anyone in your way is screwed. And people want to upgrade the speed more..? No, please. Drop the speed boost just a bit. 2. Armor and Customization - We've been given some recycled armor sets such as Recon, Mark VI, Recruit, Aviator, and Air Assault. Along with that, new sets such as Athlon, Nightfall, and Mark VI - Scarred. Now, Athlon is a new set, seen in the Halo 5 Guardians Multi-player beta trailer from back at E3. It's a cool set of armor. But we also get visor colors that from what I've seen are old ones. a. Armor Variations - Mark VI has a second version that you unlock from beating Cairo Station on Halo 2, called Mark VI - Scarred. Which is obviously a battle damaged version of the armor. I wonder if there are going to be different variations for all armor sets, such as being plasma burnt, brand new and shiny, certain pieces of the armor missing in general (Ex: Forearm protection is gone or a shoulder pad) to even being full of bullets or gashes from the assassins of the battlefield. You know the ninjas. b. Armor Attachments - Now, we've really only seen this in Halo: Reach, but every helmet had attachments, and Spartans had the ability to choose from different utility pieces and forearm attachments like tac-pads or shotgun shells. If these were to ever be brought back, they should be more than just cosmetic. The Tac-Pads could serve as a smaller scale radar, that helps with sniffing out those that are trying to sneak around, or something like that. Shotgun shell placement could clearly be used for the shotgun, with its own animations and everything. This would be a neat feature to Halo 5, and it would make the experience and overall fore-play for the hard core Spartan fans (Such as myself) to really feel in the battle, and for their equipment to be valuable. c. Currency - In Halo: Reach, we had the best armor system known to date. We didn't have to do commendations for another version of the armor or anything, we'd have to become of level and buy the specific armor pieces such as shoulder pieces, visor colors, utilities, helmets, attachments, etc. Which motivated people to play more matchmaking to feel rewarded. Which brings me to my next subject. Overall, a credit system as such has to come back. It would only be right. d. More Customization - We all know that this is a beta, but we all hope the customization of Halo doesn't become this vague. Since Halo 3 with our new armor pieces, it was always an essential to look, and feel B.A. We need more than just body armor, a helmet, and a visor. Although, it does feed the aspect of which Spartans get what they get. But here is where credits come in. Give us the ability to buy custom visor colors, either two-tone, or monotone. Give us some type of material option to set how our armor looks, or even our visors, if we want our armor to look like wooden planks, I think we should have that ability. Either works. We want to make our Spartan OURS, we want people to see who we are as a person. Give us the ability to choose from different skin sets, like destructive ones or calm, or simple. Give us a market to exchange in-game currency for skins we find to suit us. Give us more interaction with each other. 3. In-Game Drops / Market - In subject of the last idea. We need a better system for rewarding players. Say a player does really good in a match, or he/she has been a good player or hasn't quit any games. Give the player the option to choose a specific piece of armor to keep. Or even every few levels, allow us to feel rewarded by giving us a criteria of armor suitable for that level to choose from rather than choosing it for us. We really want to choose who we are, right? We want our soldier to have their own story, so why hold us back with a scripted reward system. I think it would suitable to either let us choose the reward, or just make it random. The market could also come in hand for this, because, say I have a special piece of armor that you want, but you need to level up more. And say that person that needs to level up got a random item that I like. We could trade those items, most likely become friends, even if for the short time on the battlefield. As stated before, we want more interaction with each other as we all have one big love for Halo, we want to make friends, and people do everyday. But we need more things in able to do that. The market / item drops at the end of games after some time would be great, and motivate for more gameplay, uncertain of what will be unlocked next. And with a random reward system, hell, your friend won't be able to ruin the experience for you. 4. Community Created Content (The Triple C's of Gaming) - This is one I love touching base on. The modding community is good at what they do, they can import models, make animations, sounds, anything. I've always pictured a version of the 'Teacher' game type giving the teacher a pen and paper with all the players gamertags listed on it, and when the teacher gets a kill, they cross the victims name off with their own blood. Sounds weird, I know. But I like it. I think the rise of more Community Created Content could bring more people to the scene. Sure, Forge and Custom Gametypes are nice, but please 343... Give us a little more of the creative aspect. Allow us to feel like developers ourselves, in a way. That is all I have to say. If you read all of this, thank you for your time. Let me know what you think down below, I always like feedback and criticism. Let's hope 343i sees this, no? I mean... This is a very, very... VERY early Beta after all. Thanks again. 8. Just wanted to announce, that with Christmas and other winter festivities coming up, I'd like to wish everyone a happy holiday(s)! Good luck to the winner of the Podcast spot on the Christmas tree, that is probably everyone's dream. :P

  9. I have a... Community-ish based question. Now, along the lines of multiplayer, there are always custom game types. I was wondering if there is the ability for community created content, much like for example - TF2 or Gmods workshop. People can create maps and games for Installation 01, adding more content like weapons, vehicles, and so on. I've always dreamed of the game type 'Teacher' equipping the teacher with a pencil and paper with all the names on it. The teacher stabs the 'students' with the pencil and crosses their names out with their own blood... I'm weird. :3
  10. You can go ahead and do that, but I will sit idle and be happy with the product I bought. To be honest, maybe a little bit a gratefulness toward all the work that 343i put into the MCC would get you somewhere further. I mean, after all... They didn't have to do all that.

  12. I can't wait to get into the beta coming this December. It'll be a good chance for me to see with my own eyes everything 343i has in store for Halo. I like how Halo is starting to change into something that retains that competitive feel, all while making us feel like real spartans. Clamber is something neat I never thought I'd see in a Halo game, as well as the new Smart Scope, Ground pound, slide, and the shoulder charge. It's also crazy how Sprint has been completely balanced. Looks like my prey won't be running anymore. >

  14. Hello forumers, just recently with the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we've been having issues such as match making times, UI glitches, Campaign issues, so on and so forth. There was an update due for Wednesday November 19th, but it has been delayed. Here is what 343i had to say. "This week’s content update, which was originally scheduled for release this Wednesday, 11/19, will now be releasing later this week to allow for additional fixes, as well as the completion of the testing and certification process." So, 343i has to delay this update to have time to test, as well as allow additional fixes. 343i has also gone on to give a few details into the delay, and what's being targeted. "This content update includes a variety of fixes across the title, including Matchmaking performance issues, general UI and game stability improvements, as well as fixes for game-game specific issues in Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 2: Anniversary, and more. The full patch notes will be posted later this week, in advance of the content update release." So, how do you feel about this? What do you think the update is going to change, and most of all - Do you think the update will be fixing most of the issues with match making? I guess we'll have to find out when it releases! 15. The reason you aren't finding any games currently is because the MCC is suffering from a major bug that 343i has yet to squash. This is an issue that has been occurring since launch and 343i is doing the best they can to resolve this problem as soon as possible. There is a tip from Frank O' Connor though, when you join a match making lobby and start searching, make sure the User Interface shows "In Lobby" with you name under it at the top right of the screen, you will most likely find a game with some patience when you see this. I am sorry for the inconvenience you're having, as we fans are suffering too. But the game offers a whole lot more to check out.
  16. Despite the bumpy launch, let me share my thoughts on the entire game's offering first. The forge of my dreams has finally come by, and now I can make map packs because I have a console that can handle them! Being able to seamlessly switch between games is a good feeling, and I will say it's quite fun to compare the past to now. Playing campaign and getting the skulls and looking/hearing the newer sounds and effects is amazing! Achievements... Don't even get me started, there's so many! And the custom games are fun as all hell with friends. Now the bad... Match making is down. ... ... ... That's all I've really got.
  17. For all my weasels. 14 year old current me. Lol
  18. We aren't the official 343i, however... Your idea is pretty cool, and that is how the armory system should work. And don't worry, they're fixing it as best as they can. I can assure you.
