  1. I agree, CE definately took a little more skill than later titles, although i think the balance in 5 is pretty good with relatively low aim assist compared to most other halo games.
  2. Lockout has to be my least fav map of all along with scythe.
  3. I will happily admit im not that good at halo but this kind of stuff has happened to me on more than one occasion. Maybe its not cheating but its certainly not normal
  4. team objective got removed a couple of months back (maybe longer) probably because it didnt have good numbers but i always enjoyed it, the objective variants are still in btb and team throwdown i think but i do miss extraction.

  6. i really like it, the setup on haven definately has issues with being able to throw it from the side of the open ramp but otherwise its a fun gametype.

  9. I agree with what most people are saying apart from one thing. Please dont bring back duel wielding (maybe a little controversial) I remember going from ce to h2, for me duel wielding ruined it abit.
  10. While were on the subject of achievements anyone know what the gotcha achievement is all about? Got it for the first time recently whilst in a banshee, killed someone with the fuel rod from a fair distance.

    I had the wheelman upgrade and it does shorten it but this seems even more so. Maybe its my perception of time (when im stunned it feels like ages but it never feels long enough with an opponent). Just to give a better idea heres what happened with the ghost. I stunned it and it dropped to the ground but the moment it touched the ground it was up an off again. Maybe thats normal and just havent come up against that many people with wheelman before.
  12. Also it is a Sci fi game/universe so things need not follow the same trajectory as reality.

Not sure if anyone else has come up against this or if there is actually some kind of support upgrade etc that does it but i recently (more than once) stunned a vehicle (one ghost, two manti (not sure if that is the correct plural term)) Only to have them become active again within 1 second. Im not sure what the usual time is but whenever i get stunned it lasts for at least 2.5 - 3 seconds. Anyone know what this is all about?
  14. I think it works much better on btb than 4v4. It could get a bit quiet before but now there is alot more going on. true with the number of players its not a map thats easy to sneak around on but i think btb needed a map like this.
  15. Thats strange i know that if you continue to play after not selecting a new specialisation it wont register the xp but to lose the excess at the point you rank up i have never heard of.
  16. regicide is always a choice in big team skirmish and sometimes in rumble pit. I thought regicide had decent numbers but i rarely played it so im not sure.
  17. I have to agree about the armour although i dont personally pay much attention to how my spartan looks. Lets face it blame microsoft for the unfinished game at release and i agree it did take a while for fixes to come along but its generally heading in the right direction. Im not a big fan of the boltshot but it could be ok if it wasnt for the fact that its kill distance is better than the human shotgun. As for loadouts now that there are a number of game types etc that remove them from the game i dont see an issue and if someone has a perk the idea is that you have one too although maybe not in the same way. As for taking no skill i admit when released it was very easy to kill with the dmr from practically any range by now the aim assistance has been lowered pretty much across the board its definately harder to get a kill. Although im still not convinced that buffing rather than lower weapon power was the best thing to do.
  18. I pretty much agree with your view on the incinerator cannon with the ghost im not sure how much of a difference extra manouverability when boosting would make. Usually if i avoid a ghost or someone avoids me when on a ghost its because they jumped over me not moved to the side. One bonus with the ghost in H4 is when boosting head on with other vehicles you can typiccally destroy them which can be pretty useful when facing a more powerful vehicle such as a warthog. More than once has my team been stopped in its tracks when driving a flag back to our base by such a tactic.
  19. It was always going to be hyped with it being a halo game and i think calling it terrible is harsh, a little broken yes and not quite as good as some previous halos but still a quality game.
  20. After trying both i think recharge is my choice. Survivor just kicked me out only for me to die seconds later anyway. One of the few situations i can see it being useful is when getting hit by a spartan laser from a distance therefore your typically not already surrounded.
  21. Lets just hope that they dont reduce the kill time even further as a way of balancing that out. Although i assume that part of their thinking behind 6 second shield regeneration. Extra ammo and maybe an extra grenade would be a better solution, that way wasting a few shots isnt quite so bad and that extra grenade for getting them from behind rocks etc

  23. Personally i dislike implanting real world situations onto scifi or fantasy. Makes it all seem abit propaganda like.
  24. i remember reading somewhere that they were going to limit in progress joining to no later than 60 seconds into a game but that clearly isnt the case most of the time. if it was the case i wouldnt mind so much. 'Join in progress avoidance'?
