Pistol in CE was classic! Does anyone remember how cool it was the first time you used the Pistol in CE to Mele and you see the Chief do that cool gun slinger pistol flip in his hand? That was when I knew the Cheif is friggin' awesome...I like this game.

I agree with almost all of this. I do however miss the Flood. Their sudden introduction into CE was gaming legend. The Flood created some of the best game-play experiences in my opinion.

Sadly, I believe that you are correct in citing multi-player as the reason why this type of game play is not fully incorporated. The Chief can't be all that special when the other "Spartans" need to be able to replicate every ability in Multi player. If nothing else I would like more of these special cut scene types of action in Campaign to set 117 apart from the imitation Spartans. After all there is a reason why we are following his story and not another random Spartan IV.

Don't get me wrong I think this is an incredible story. How much did I read? Well I will say that it is time for the return of the Flood. The Flood is after all what started all the conflict to begin with. Would a full Flood invasion of highly developed form unite all of the warring factions? Perhaps it would. If 343 used this post as a framework for the game I would be satisfied. And by the way, the above ideas regarding the Spartan upgrades are pure Gold. What could be better than a Spartan IV with all the latest tech? Answer: A Spartan II with any of that Tech. I would love to see as much implementation of customization as possible as long as it doesn't change the Character of 117 himself. Improved Gel Layer for the WIN !!

Well done indeed my friend. However, in my opinion the first sentence of your post belies the entire scope and thrust of Halo from the viewpoint of Master Chief. Commander Sarah Palmer hasn't got a clue what's really going on and shouldn't have any command authority over Master Chief at all. (remember when cpt Del Rio tried to tell the chief what to do). His orders (if any) would be from a much much higher source or, more likely considering the stories direction from his own volition and loyalty to Cortana, Earth, and Dr Halsey.

Cortana is only second to the Chief himself as an absolute key to Halo 5 and 6 feeling like Halo. In my opinion if Cortana doesn't return in some form Halo 5 is dead. Lets reflect for a moment on another key Character that was killed...Spock Maybe I am revealing too much about my age but in the Star Trek Wrath of Khan movie they actually killed Spock and fans were devastated and dismayed. But the next movie.. yes the darkest movie of the entire Star Trek series Spock is reborn. Spock was back and he was a bigger part of the future stories than ever before. Sound familiar? Cortana dies yes. (but remember that the Libriarian took her away for a time and (vulcan mind melded...er I mean copied her essence). In my opinion, this story that 343 is creating is going to be similar masterpiece of storytelling.

Personally I would like to see more development on the best weapon of all...the Spartan. We know from the books that the Master Chief (and fellow Spartans) are a deadly force to be reckoned with. The mele attack is fun and yes the assassinations are cool, but lets see the Chief really demonstrate that Spartan lethality like we see in the videos and read of in the books. The Chief can flip a Warthog ! With that strength just imagine what he could do to enemies! Imagine the Chief being able to use objects in his environment (like that piece of scrap metal from the Banshee you just destroyed) to send a Grunt into orbit with a baseball swing or impale a charging elite and pin him to the wall.

We all love finding Easter eggs. And we all love finding a new weapon in the halo games. In this topic let's post our ideas for what we think would be a cool Easter egg weapon to have added to Halo 5. What hidden weapon would you like to find in halo 5 ? I will go first to set the tone. And of course because I am in Canada.... THE ICE RIFLE

Good afternoon Halo community! I am TitaniumTomcat and I have been with halo since the release of CE. Played every game, and read the books. I was on the old Bungie forum for years. I look forward to the discussions we will have. One common thread you might notice in my posts is related to this opinion I feel very strongly about: 117 is Halo To me I guess it makes sense considering the last 13 years "working" with him and learning his story.
