  1. Yeah I don't think I'll be able to finish the Scene in time, and the game needs an ending thingmajig, so I'll just do this for now: EDIT: Scratch that. Round links: Round 7: The Finale, Part 1 Scene 7 part 2 Scylla's moon, Asbolus is similar to Earth's natural satellite, Luna. The gravity on Asbolus is 0.1670 Gs: extremely close to Luna's 0.1654 Gs... need I say the mass is near the same as well? Uncanny... Both lack the required atmosphere, and non-barren surface to adequately terraform, and both happen to have large colonies of Humans who call the moons home. Drilling on the satellites is forbidden as to prevent the moons from potentially fracturing, or becoming unstable, so the Humans have resorted to retrieving supplies from the parent planets, and from the moon's surface itself. Little do the Asbolans know that they just so happen to be sitting on one of the most dangerous celestial bodies in the entire galaxy... or possibly one of the most flourishing... ignorant bliss whilst standing over their own graves... - - - - - Far beyond driven the Mafians are. The culmination of all their strife, and suffering... has lead to this one holy alter. A final place of respite, and the helm where all life shall begin anew: Asbolus. All 5 Mafians paced with long determined strides down the deep, twisting tunnels of the moon. A massive bottomless hole lay before them regardless of the rules against drilling. For the Mafians, EVERYTHING was illegal. Two men clad in black suits trailed behind the Mafians like dogs... they were not one of them. "This is it, comrades. This... is where all of creation will bow before our feet... almost makes a little too anxious." "Dexter, we've been through hell. For what it's worth, we deserve it. YOU deserve it... if only the Don was here to see this come to pass..." The Hacker put a hand on the Mafian's shoulder reassuringly, "He is with us in spirit, and our paths will soon cross forthwith. You can count on that." The Juggernaut, concerned, looked over his shoulder at the assassin. The Mafians knew full well what his intentions are. He will not live to give his ultimatum... "You people never cease to amaze me", the Agent codenamed "The Director" spouted, "You're about to completely destroy this whole Galaxy, and the only thing you can do is celebrate about it. Do you really think there will be no consequences for your insurrection?" "You would be wise to watch your tongue, Assassin, lest you, and your Government "Goons" be checked off the death toll as well.", the Juggernaut took off his domed helmet: revealing wavy brunette hair, "Or I'll just devour you. Either one works for me." "I'll take you on any day, Bl-" The Hacker whipped around, and glared at both bickering men. They immediately ceased all aggression, and continued on their journey 'round the edge of the portal. Eventually they boarded a vertical tram, and descended into the darkness... pitch black. The Assassin still in tow. Spotlights attached to the crib banished the blackening to reveal intricately designed angular indentions in the curve of the hole. Their origins didn't begin with the Humans, but they certainly took ownership of it. Bottom. The view straight up was totally black. They had succeeded in crossing the Styx, but in doing so have created an Achilles Heel... the tram was disabled by the Hacker for some sort of bargaining between the Mafians, and the Sniper. Charron's usefulness has run out for now. He no longer takes payment in obolus. Immense angular architecture sprouted at the bottom... what kind of Civilization molded this? The geometry was too complex for even Humans to comprehend, let alone build. It's alien in nature... yet the Mafians, and Sniper dared enter with little to no fear. The Hacker rubbed his fingers against the walls even. After minutes of walking they came upon a titanic circular room with a ramp leading to... what seems to be a central control console. The 6 stood on the brink. The 6 prepared for the last fair deal gone down. "We've come all this way... and if you don't have it..." "Of course I have it. You really think I'd come here without it?", The Director pulled some strange bookmark-sized slab from a pouch on his chest, and the Hacker simultaneously retrieved his as well. Each stood facing the other: card in one hand, and palm open to retrieve the other's. Beads of sweat collected themselves on the foreheads of all who were present. The two men moved in to make the trade, hesitated, and then finally swapped cards. Dexter pulled away, and The Sniper stepped back from the Mafia troupe with his fellow Agent. TD, and the other man, a Jailkeeper, proceeded to jog away from the room, but were halted by Dexter, "Remember our deal. One half for us, and the remainder belongs to you", the greedy Director acknowledged the terms, and the two continued into the hall from which they came... - - - - - A triad of snakes slithered, and slid behind the outlaws: disconnected. One of them, a familiar face, was accompanied by two individuals. They wisely kept their distance from the Mafians, but not far enough to lose the path. They hid in a storage room on top of the lift as it descended, and eagerly anticipated the end game. Victory... or Death. They couldn't afford to make a mistake. They've come too far. They've lost too much... Humanity's champions slashed through the air to the control room. The Detective motioned his company to move into a crevice between two walls, "This place... is Forerunner. The weapon the Mafians spoke of is here: I'm sure of this.... but why would they tell us if they knew we would try to stop them? Did they think we didn't pose much of a threat?", the other two stooped down, and crouched, "Could it be that everything we've done so far was for nothing?", Rrhunt slumped back, holding his head. A large migraine was coming on... "No! I refuse to believe that we were doomed from the start... Everything the others died for would be in vain!", Yoshi grasped Rrhunt's arm, and pulled him forward, "If we do nothing then the whole galaxy will pay for it." "And what happens if we can't win? What happens if we fall? There's 6, or more of them, and only 3 of us-" "Detective. Out of all the others you were the most steadfast. You chose to stay headstrong, and continue fighting with all the odds against you... was it chance that you are the only remaining Agent left with full knowledge of what's going on?", Rrhunt pushed Yoshi's arm away, "Listen to me! We are the only things that stand in the way of total annihilation for life as we know it. I would rather die knowing I tried to save this Galaxy, then cower, and run away to fall into exile. I would have expected the same from you too.", Yoshi stood, and nudged Anarchy to do so as well. The Detective sat on the cold metal-alloy floor. No one believed them when they tried to spread the truth. The UNSC, the Scyllan Military... even the Police themselves. They literally are the only people blocking the reaper's sprint across the cosmos... Yoshi was right, "The Mafians wanted us to know their plans for a reason", a surprised Yoshi, and Anarchy, nearly about to take off, paused, "It's because they know we have the keys to becoming true Mafians. Do they think we'll join them in fear? They'll have to start somewhere..." Rrhunt shuffled, and stood, "Here's what we're up against: An unstoppable Titan, a Hacker who can hack ANYTHING, a CQC Weapons Expert, that freak Chameleon "Jenson", the Vocal one or Explosives Expert, and the Assassin. Most, if not all of these people probably know CQC, so hand-to-hand fights would be uphill for us... there is no way we'll make it out of this alive. But we can damn well make sure these hell-spawn don't as well! These freaks all have weaknesses. We'll just need to play on them." "And how do we succeed where others have failed?", the Detective looked upon Yoshi with the apex of his life's confidence. "We become Mafians." Yoshi, and Anarchy both immediately protested against this plan, but Rrhunt held them at bay with the catch... "These Mafians are agile, quick, strong, tenacious... they're superhumans. How do we beat them? At their own game. We have the means to becoming Mafians. Fight fire with fire." "There's a slight problem with your plan, Rrhunt... WHAT IF WE START ACTING LIKE THE MAFIA???!! How do we know that they don't turn into those freakazoid anarchists from the start when they unlock those brain key things? We would be practically giving ourselves up!" "Because before she died, Ash stole some data from that Mafian Pilot on the Shuttle, and uploaded it. It has blueprints, weapon schematics... biological readouts. Everything on the Mafians. God DAMN why didn't I see, or remember this earlier?" Yoshi, perplexed, inquired, "What the hell are you talking about? 5 Minutes ago you said there is no hope at all for us..." "I'm pretty sure I only asked a bunch of questions instead of stating that-BUT ANYWAY back to the topic... The Biological readouts showed the status of all the Mafians. The Keys are what cause their superhuman abilities, and allow the person to process data on a substantially higher rate than normal humans-" "You still didn't answer my question related to, oh I dunno, SANITY?? How do we know these "Keys" don't completely turn us into wackos??" "Because they are made that way by the other Mafians. They are put through enormous amounts of torture prior to Keys being unlocked, so their brains become more malleable to commands. What makes a Mafian a Mafian is another Mafian... if that makes sense." Anarchy held his chin with his fingers, "If a Mafian makes a Mafian... then who created the first Mafian? Oh wait you already said this, the Government... yeah... I still don't know why a Government Agent is still helping the Mafians since the Government wants them dead in the first place. Isn't that kinda like... a contradiction? Maybe the Mafians really think he's on their side? OR what if it IS a Rogue Agent?" "High-Tier Agents are sworn to the Government, and would be punished severely if they stepped out of line. The Sniper only shot us because his superiors told him to do it. These Keys make us Public Enemy #1." "But why shoot us? We haven't even had the Keys unlocked yet, but the Mafians have. Wouldn't that make them high-priority targets?", the Detective, nor Yoshi had a good enough answer. "So are we good? We doing this?" Yoshi, and Anarchy both stared at Rrhunt with the most uncertain faces ever shown in a millennium, "You were the one who was so high, and mighty about saving the Galaxy earlier! This is the only way. Admit it. We're dead men walking. We're trying to help the people, NOT the Government. They would gladly kill us, and dump our bodies into the ditches, or landfills." "Thinkers think before they do... and I have made my choice. Have you?" None of them really wished to begin the painful trial of metamorphosis, but desperate times bred desperate measures. A sharpened metal shard was passed from person to person. Deep fissures were carved into the trio of skulls, and morphine, a blessing from the gods, transformed into the only thing keeping these men from screaming... Time to fight fire with fire. - - - - -
  2. You do realize that once rrhunt has been killed, and is potentially NOT a Mafian... you will become a target? If he IS Mafia then you'll be dead by next Round. I vote rrhuntington.
  3. I switch my vote from Bnus to Null.
  4. You can switch it at any time before Vote locking.
  5. Wouldn't they be on the same side?
  6. I think the final Scene FOR SURE will be posted tomorrow. The culmination of this entire game is in this 1 Scene, so it's taking allot of effort to write.

  10. Forge, Maps, and the Beta in Halo 5 - http://343i.org/2na

  11. Today, it was confirmed that Crossfire, and Trench from the Halo 5 Beta are INDEED Forge created maps on the same palette (Forge World like maps like Awash, or Impact). Crossfire is pictured above... YEAH THAT'S A FORGE MAP!!! Though I already had my suspicions. Which brings me to my next points on Forge, and Maps in general. Josh Holmes, in an interview with IGN's Ryan McCaffrey, states: Improvements to usability in Forge have been made as well as providing multiple palettes, terrain sheets, and lighting set-ups for Forgers to utilize. He indicates that there are no more plans to make more "classic" map remakes like Truth, which could mean they already have, but just stopped. Map Remixes, like Regret, and Eden, are variants of the original map that have changed geometry, flow, weapon layout, and time of day. On the topic of feedback Josh responded with, “We’re excited to be releasing this beta almost a year before the release of the game. While this is the earliest that we've done a beta and things are in a less polished state than they would be if we were releasing closer to launch, it’s important to us to get the game into the hands of fans while we still have the time to react to feedback. The input that we receive from the community will feed into our remaining development and help us to achieve our goal of making Halo 5: Guardians the best multiplayer shooter on consoles when we launch in 2015.” He continued, "We’ll be carefully considering all sorts of feedback including weapon tuning, balance for the new Spartan abilities, weapon placement on maps, audio mix, and much more. We encourage all participants in the beta to go to halowaypoint.com and sign up for our community feedback program. In addition we’ll also be paying close attention to the various community forums and social media and we appreciate people taking the time to share their impressions.” Lastly, Holmes confirmed that there will not be another Multiplayer Beta, and stated that 343i will discuss the remainder of the multiplayer suite later this year, including larger, more vehicle-focused experiences. On a side note, the Halo 5 Beta will soon be receiving a vote between being able to play on one of the two new Forge created maps (both are in the same palette): Pegasus, or Orion. The respective videos for each map are below: There will be a poll for which map you want to play on this week's Halo Bulletin on the Halo Channel. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thoughts? 12. Maybe the game wouldn't be decided if you actually DID something. I'll end the game in a day or two.
  13. Round links: Round 7 Scene 7 part 1 To shield innocence from the Mafian's wrath... the Detective, and Medic destroyed the very thing keeping them safe: the power grid. Detective's Saboteur cloaking overloaded the system (with a slight chance it could recover), and the Medic's tampering of the same device (renamed "Sacrifizzle") crippled it: preventing it from being resurrected for at least a month. Residents all over the city tore themselves apart, and what little remained of the Police & Sentinel forces tried to maintain order desperately. Support from the nearby Military Bases wouldn't even be close to the city for days. A congregation shrouded in shade. A hub bathed in desolation... which party was the cause of this? The Mafians... the Neutral Government Agents... or the "mighty" Protowns? Each day the Mafians neared ever closer to the ultimate source... Dwindling numbers of people are left with hope to stop them. - - - - - The pious inquisitor looked upon the city with awe, and seemingly addressed all of civilization, "Decadence was your downfall... the outcasts will have their revengeance!". His skin was orange from the twilight of the impending night. "We've found the source... Boss", the Mafian revealed, "All we need is a ticket there." 4 Mafians stood atop the tallest metal obelisk in the city. A dead man, kin to their kind, was sprawled on the edge, "Yes. The Tether. Our Shuttle will arrive shortly.", he turned to his original position, "Pure luck it could withstand the Protown's foolish attempts. Guarantees our ascendance.", he looked down upon the corpse, and crouched, "You could have been so much more... Bnus. Look at you now", he grasped Bnus by the collar, and held him high. Hacker looked into the hazed eyes, "The ramparts you've guarded so dearly have degenerated. Resistance was futile, and you knew it... yet you fought. Your seat in the afterlife was assured... if only you had joined us. Farewell, old friend." Cadaver was released. It descended quickly to the bottom. It couldn't even be recognized anymore. A shuttle approached, and the 4 eagerly waited it's arrival. It hovered into place just above the surface. They shuffled into it's interior... and 2 came crashing out, "AHHHHH!! What?!." Two quarreling souls lay on the concrete: A woman in uniform, and a Mafian: the pilot. The Hacker held the other two inside the ship back, and yelled at the fallen over the loud sound of the engines, "Even on the eve you are defiant! Relinquish your qualms, and succumb to true life! Maybe then we will show mercy!", he called to the Mafian, "If she does not comply... kill her!", the shuttle side-door closed, and it accelerated in the direction of Nessus's Space Elevator. "You're persistent. I'll give you that one", the winded Mafian stood, and ripped off a torn harness, "I'll spare you from a beating ONLY if you join us. Simple.", the woman, now standing, didn't answer, "Come on! Give me something!" "No. HELL no. What kind of question is that? You killed my friends, my colleagues... and you expect me to join you? What kind of ignorant question was that? Are you so blinded by "ascendance" that you've resorted to stupidity? Do you really think what you're doing here is right??" "Listen, lady. I don't think you've grasped what it is to be Mafian: we're outlaws. No matter what we do... we'll ALWAYS be enemies of the state. The Government! We WANTED normal lives... but NO ONE will EVER allow that for us. We can't just hide in any city, and act like normal people... The only choice we have is revolution, or exile, because we are continuously hunted for the way we are. It's not about doing what's right... it's about laying the groundwork for a future for us. If civilization has to be the scapegoat for us to succeed... then so be it. I always hated the Government, and everyone else anyway. Let it burn.", he reached both of his arms behind his back, and grasped two short curved blades on a holster, "I'll give you one more chance, Ash. If you're not with us... you're against us." Ash unsheathed a combat knife from her leg, and raised her hands mid-level, "I would have chosen exile." An epic stand off. The two, on each side of the roof, faced each other while holding knives tactically: unmoving. Cold wind swamped the battered complexes in the massive technological mesh. A war for superiority on every street. Flames seared the broken glass, and scarred bodies that littered the ground. A horribly mutilated body was impaled on a large pole in a courtyard at the base of the tower... Begin. Clash. Clang. Sparks flew in the air. Each contender held a good streak of skills that outmatched the average fighter. The Mafian was surprised that a Snitch was very adept at CQC, and Ash respected the Mafian's exceptional prowess. Neither of them seemed to want to outright kill the other, but wanted to see the full extent of the other's skills... and so they sparred atop the building for sport. The Mafian knew at some point that he would have to kill the woman, but knew full well that he would regret the action. But orders are orders. After a few minutes the snakes backed off, and into their spots from the start of the match. Equal were the amount of cuts, and bruises. The Mafian wiped blood from his lip, "Exemplary...", he breathed heavily, "You know that Sarge fellow was pretty good at CQC too. He lasted for a while, but only because I enjoyed the fight we had... but eventually I had to end him. Don't let his mistake be yours." "I took classes... when I joined. For your question... No.. I've made my choice. I'm ready to die... are you?", Ash made a last gasp for breath, and re-steadied her stance. The Mafian didn't want to, but steadied himself as well. The fight intensified, and the methods of the fighters became more brutal. Ash slashed the Mafian's back, and with a cry he returned by punching her cheek. She recoiled, and deflected his blade. Blood was everywhere... Finale. Relentless blows were traded. The cuts dug deeper. The Mafian, finding an opening in Ash's defenses, swung his knife, and slid it deep between her ribs. She cried out in pain, and thrust her fist into the Mafian's chest. She pulled the knife out, and threw it back at the owner, who swiftly dodged. He swung again, Ash ducked, he kneed her in the face, and she fell onto her back. He leaped down, and carved a channel into the concrete. The fight continued like this for at least a minute... but the end was nigh. In the commotion of the flying fists, the Mafian was unable to block an unpredictable punch. It knocked off his mask... or should I say her mask. Ash gawked at the Mafian..., "What?! You're a girl!? Wait... I know you! You're-" The Mafian swung her head back, and let long flowing hair whip out into the wind. Her eyes, a glowing crimson, peered at the other, "That's right... I'm the god damn Batman!!!". With a final jab, the Mafian jumped forward, and knocked the weapon from a startled Ash's palm. The semi-crescent blade turned, and drilled deep into her heart. The knight without depravity felt an ache like no other. She slowly fell to the ground, and watched the sky turn to black. Stars, and cosmic entities, no longer kept at bay from the lights of the city, blossomed in the night. She watched them glimmer as her life faded away... The Mafian known as BATMAN stood gripping her arm, and watched Ash close her eyes. The reaper's finger pointed straight down through the lifeless body. She radioed the other Mafians, and the shuttle was dispatched back to the pickup zone. What hope for survival does Protown have left? Ash, Snitch, Executed by Mafia. Suspects: BATMAN The Director Pbrabbit Santazer You have 48 hours to vote who dies. Role Status:
