  1. I know that the elephant and phantom idea is a bit far fetched but the soundtrack, voices and environment would be really neat.
  2. I was thinking of a new Gametype that could evolve halo while staying to the core game play. The gametype would feature two teams of twenty or sixteen(whatever possible).Plasma pistols and plasma grenades would be disabled in loadouts. Music from the original soundtrack would play in background and change volumes when in fights. You can customize your spartan voice like in reach firefight but with around 50 different voices. Game play will be very team based. Maps will be fairly large but have areas for close range players. The maps should feature interactive items like trees that can be knocked down, small building collapsed and crumbling cliffs. Most of the game play will be vehicular. Each team with a variety of vehicles. It would be cool if each team had a transport pelican who is well armored but turrets have to be manned. The pelican would be used as a spawn point and teammates would spawn in the back of the dropships to be dropped off by the pilot. The pelican can be shot down by tanks or even a well placed suicide banshee. However passengers don't always die and can time their jump as the pelican falls with cool animations if the pilot steadies the landing. This would look extremely cool and more realistic. Imagine flying a pelican full of teammates when your right wing catches on fire and you go spiraling into the ground knocking trees over and spraying debris in the air. Your spartan is yelling we're going down! over the Soundtrack. The dust around the pelican settles and you emerge from the rubble helmet cracked, and shields down to find yourself surrounded by enemies searching the wreckage. Each team would also have an elephant for a base as well as a bomb that can be used to destroy the other elephant if boarded. Please leave your thoughts and ideas below but please don't think of this as copying other games because this is not. If 343 were to do this I think everyone would have a reason to play halo, just as everyone played halo 3.
  3. I would really like to see them hidden again. But this time they should not only hide them in campaign but also in firefight and multiplayer maps. They could even add skull every week somewhere different in a multiplayer map and you get achievements about every 5 skulls and a skull helmet( like halo reach) once you find all 25. They should be difficult to find but 343 should tell us the map it is on for the week and a little riddle to help us find it. They also shouldn't be available on Forge maps although there could be a few initial skulls hidden on them. Finally for campaign, they should have all the skulls you mentioned plus: Clueless: turns off all way points and directions Unstoppable: increased speed and moves slowly even when trying to stay Odst : no shields, no Old school: who needs sprint or armor abilities? Paranormal : all enemies equipped with active camouflage. Custom : Your survival is in your hands. Shakespeare : Enemies often recite lines gaining Freaky Foe : Allies swap voices with enemies Blamite! : Everyone is equipped with needlers including vehicles Halo: enemies are shown with giant angel wings and a glowing halo. When you kill them their bodies float upward and fade out with a grunt saying aaaaaaahhhhh in a spiritual voice. Puberty : Grunts speak in a very deep voice and every one else sounds like they sucked in helium. That makes 30 skulls in campaign. If there is ten missions there will be three on each level. That will lead to extra hours of game play in the campaign. If you find all the skulls in the campaign you should unlock the hayabusa armor and the katana sword.
  4. I agree with everything you said. Hopefully 343 sees how important the music is and composes the soundtrack even more brilliantly. I write music so I really appreciate a unique soundtrack . the video xthatguyx posted is a good example.
  5. Yes and no. The soundtrack sets the mood for the game more than you think.
  6. Soundtrack. This is important. Very important. The campaign could have been a lot better if 343 didn't change the amazing music. First of all I will tell what is wrong with halo 4's soundtrack. Well, I am not saying that it was bad, but it definitely didn't sound like halo. Most songs sounded like it could be out of any movie. Not to mention the menu music that sounded like the lady was dying made me want to start a game as fast as possible. There were times when it shined, but not as brightly as well halo 3 music. You must bring in the humming monks, piano and electric guitar in songs like one final effort, mjolner mix, never forget, etc. The music plays a big part in the feeling of halo that most of us say is gone. Just finish the fight! Please leave your thoughts below.
  7. I thought of a cool idea to bring brutes back. All brutes were thought to be destroyed... When an elite leader stumbled upon a planet inhabited by brutes. Still upset from the brutes replacing them, he takes the brutes as slaves. While many earned the right to fight for him with their brutal weaponry, many remained slaves. So in halo 5 master chief stumbles along an elite general and his slave. The slave attempts to escape and tries to melee the elite. The elites turns on the brutes electric collar quickly and the brute falls to the ground. The elite pulls out his sword and right when he is about to kill the brute, master chief snaps the elite's neck from behind. They awkwardly exchange glances when the brute appears to charge chief. Master chief jumps to the side and the brute tackles and rips a jackal sniper apart who was about to shoot chief. The brute sarcastically says no need to thank me. And chief says I'll thank you when this war is over. The brute becomes an ally and helps you fight the covenant including his race. Brutes were really cool to fight. They should stay the tougher, stronger, scarier enemies. It was so awesome when the brute chieftain ran at you full speed deflecting your bullets and activating invincibility. Of course they better bring back their weapons and vehicles! As for their weapons, it would be cool if they have a giant turret that you move extremely slow with unless two people hold it. There could also be a spear with extremely sharp and electrified blades. It could be thrown up to 20 feet but would be an instant kill. It could also be a melee weapon of course.
