  1. Nope, no grenades thrown and no random explosions. That's what I thought at first too, but then I watched the video and was just confused as hell. You have to see the video on my file share in order to understand, it's very odd. Send me a friend request (not trying to make friends, just trying to get someone's else's opinion) and then check out my file share. I'm still unbelievably confused by how he did it.
  2. The Betrayal/Booting system. I was playing a game of CTF on exile the other day when all of a sudden, the game said I betrayed someone. I didn't get booted, I never shot at anyone or hit anyone, so I made nothing of it. Then, the match said that I betrayed the same person again, and I'm thinking 'oh no, that's number two, I'm out and I haven't shot or hit any of my teammates, what am I doing wrong!?' The game proceeds to tell me that I betrayed the same person for a third time, and I got booted from the game. How this went about was ridiculous. I was so confused that I immediately went to recent clips under my temporary history and found out what happened. How it happened, I'm still not sure. Why it happened, I might have been camping the beam rifle spawn a was going 15:0. Generally, if people hit me or shoot at me, I know that they'll betray me, so I quit with camping the power weapons because I'm trying to get my last few perfection, but I'm still shocked and astonished as to exactly how "MindRyot" did this, but if you go to "EvenRatz23" (that's me) file share, I uploaded a video on how this happened. If any of you kind gentlemen or gentlewomen would kindly go onto my file share and view the video titled "I Got Booted For This," I would greatly appreciated. I'm not mad that I got booted, but I'm mad as to how I got booted. Just trying to she'd some light on something that I've never had occur in my halo career. QCOT's would all be great. Just trying to get anybody else's opinion :-b
  3. My play style is aim for the head and mainly stay back while using the LR. The best combo I've found so far is to toss a pulse grenade at the opponents feet, thus immediately depleting their shield, and shooting them square in the face. That's the best combo with my load out for my LR. I have to use the ammo perk because no one in their right mind chooses to use this weapon, the extra grenade so that I can have 2 pulse grenades, and the magnum. The other perks and nonsense are all preference and CoD bull****, but for some reason people like that nonsense. As for playlists, as I stated above, my problem with the LR isn't long range, it's close range. Getting long range kills with it isn't very simple either due to a severe lack of stopping power, but 5 body shots, or 4 to the head, isn't too bad to knock out at a distance; however, it's just close range that bothers me to no end. Currently I've been playing a lot of action sack and playing lighting flag, where, for those of you whom haven't played yet, is one hit kill where everyone uses the LR. I'm on the last level of its mastery, but I just have 900 more kills to knock out :-b Regardless of that, my GT is EvenRatz23 if any of you gents would like to further look into this or hmu on some Halo 4, it would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Although I do see your point on using points of the map to my advantage, you gave me advice to use the boltshot and therefore you're opinion is invalid. Perhaps it is a combo of both my lack of skill with the gun and its lack of adequate usage at close range, but I still refuse to accept that it is all my fault and has nothing to do with the gun. I see what you mean with the magnum as well, but it's not magnum kills I need. If I were going to use a pistol to take down shields, I'd go halo 3 noob combo with the plasma pistol and a pop to the head. As I said before, I'm no Halo 4 adept, but this does partly have to do with the gun. It's was considerably better at close range before the title update because it could at least compete with the BR when it and the LR were 5 and 5. Still something wrong, though. I simply have my mind set that something needs to be done. Play 10 rounds of infinity slayer using it and only it, no power weapons, or secondary weapons; as that's the quickest way to master a weapon by only using it, obviously, and you'll see.
  5. Not at all, I want to it to be able to compete with other weapons at close range. It's not just a ranged weapon, it's supposed to be the best of both worlds, but it's not. It's as you said, it's a good ranged, or scoped, weapon. The maps, generally, are all very small or have many nooks and crannys that enemies can get away through, even at long range, the weapon doesn't do very much due to a lack of stopping power. The gun is a great idea, but I feel that it needs a bit more tweaking. Use it so much that its just unreasonable and you'll see what I mean. It simply doesn't perform or compete as the other 3 scoped rifles do. TLDR: The LR just needs a bit more tweaking.
  6. After fully mastering all rifles, other than the LR, I've moved into using it. While scoping at long range, the gun is average. It doesn't have very much stopping power, as compared to other guns, and opponents easily get away. The rate of fire improvement helps a tad while scoped, but the scoped part isn't truly the issue. While not scoped, after the recent title update, I might as well simply lay the LR down and have the enemies assassinate me or simply blow my brains out. No fun is to be had with this weapon without scoping and at close range. It takes five shot bursts to kill someone, not scoping, compared to the new and improved four shot burst from the BR. In essense, it is 100%, completely useless. I now lose duels with all guns and very rarely get a successful kill. Going up against ANY weapon at close range, keep in mind that the main issue is that this is all while not scoping in, it is basically inevitable that one will lose a duel. DMR, BR, AR, Carbine, Suppressor, and even the storm rifle, one will lose if they are using the LR. Having a k/d of 1.64 after mastering the Carbine and moving onto the LR, being +7,000 kills, I'm now +6800 just from using the gun for about ten hours. It's absolutely ridiculous. I know that not many people use the LR, but take a stab at it and try out it. If its just me, which I highly doubt, then disregard this post. Fully use it, though. Make a load out based around it, and use it for a solid sit down of gameplay. See what you think. Thanks for reading. TLDR: The LR is garbage when not scoped in and also needs to be made a four shot burst kill so that it can actually compete with the BR or any weapon for that matter.
