I agree with MJOLNIR NIGHT. But whatever you do, DON"T MAKE IT BASED OFF OF HALO 4 OR THE OTHER NEWER GAMES! I personally believe that the story in these later games has gone to trash. They should have just left chief alone after Halo 3.
