See, I don t think the floor is the problem... Yet. Many of you are forgetig how dangerous the forerunner tech on halo is. I just reread halo primordial. When halo was damaged during the battle of the forerunner capital. Halo became very unstable and it became scary for the humans on it. The flood were indeed present, but for most of the book, the tech made it very mysterious and dangerous! I'm sure the flood is still out there and maybe they're still on halo, but I think the tech on Halo will create the danger. Example: in primordial, the monitor 343GS was created from the soul of the human Chakas. It was ripped from his body. It only did that with humans, not killing humans as they try to make you think in the trailer, but instead turning you into a machine, similar to the prometheans.

What I wish they would improve and do in the future campaigns
aidanpscott replied to Pinapple751's topic in Halo 4
Here's the thing: For me, the most important part of halo has ALWAYS been the characters. There are many small things and some big things I would have changed about the campaign, but especially for me, a veteran halo fan since the first game came out, the character development has been essential, and only Master Chief and Cortana developed as characters, which I'm not saying is bad at all, in fact, the work 343 did developing those two blew my mind, they were developed to perfection and excelled in that part of the campaign, but my problem was with Lasky and Palmer. I mean, remember Sgt. Johnson and Miranda Keyes, how incredible they were and how moved we were when they sacrificed themselves. I wouldn't feel the same about these characters at all. Nobody can replace side characters like Sgt. Johnson, Keyes, etc. but they can create new characters to try and bring that emotion back. I think if 343 made a campaign with the same gameplay as Halo 4 with improvements, new character development could make halo 4 the net best campaign in the series. Think about this and respond please to this forum. 343 needs to hear us. -
Thoughts... Trailer not part of halo 5, just a halo promo. That's what 343 said remember

After reading the novels, we know their are flood remnants that escaped halo far out into unknown space, but it is still a mystery as to what happened to it. My guess is it's still out there and might come back. We know what the arbiter is doing in the Kilo Five trilogy. However, it's not entirely known what he does currently. We know he's on his planet, trying to keep it together while more Sangheili join the new covenant, but will he rejoin against them. I would say yes, very much likely, but as a warrior in full armor... I don't know. The K5 trilogy does not have him in armor and he has retired from military service to govern the Vadam province. So, unless all the provinces go to war, his duty would be Governig his province and keeping it together.

When I was 10, my father, who isn't a gamer at all read the Fall of Reach. He said it was one of the best books he ever read. He described it a little, but I couldn't grasp the idea of how great it was. I read it, then all the other books and was instantly hooked to halo OUTSIDE of the games. Fall of Reach and Ghost of Onyx are today my two favorite books. If you are as big a fan as I am, READ IT AND YOU WILL BE SHOCKED HOW MUCH YOU'LL LEARN. IT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT HALO FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend reading the books in order, starting with fall of reach. Halo flood, the second was okay, but you already played it in the 1st game. So it could be optional. The best books in my opinion are fall of Reach and ghosts onyx and I would say 95% can agree with me. I would say my other favorites are the forerunner saga books, WHICH WILL BLOW YOUR MIND, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GO BACK TO PLAY THE RECLAIMER GAMES, such as HALO 4. Forerunner saga includes: Cryptum, Primordian, and then Silentium. Start with: Fall of Reach, then Flood (unless you played the game, it can be optional - an okay book, but not the best), the FIRST STRIKE, than Ghosts of Onyx.

I think what a lot of people don't like about the series is that the protagonist are against Dr. Halsey and what she did because Dr. Halsey is actually more correct than the UNSC. I like to think of it as seeing it from a different point of view. I like seeing both sides to a story whether or not I agree with it. What I didn't like us her portrayal of certain characters, especially Spartans. She made them seem more open-minded and rebellious. Spartans are never rebellious unless it goes against everything they know. But Spartans only know service and war, so they would neve disobey a direct order. Master chief disobeyed his order to save cortana because cortana was the only thing he loved and knew outside of service and war.

Did you know sergeant Johnson was part of the ORION-1 project (Spartan-1, which failed because they used adults). Did you know sergeant Johnson was part of the ORION-1 project (Spartan-1, which failed because they used adults). Master chief is a Reclaimed, which means he was born with human and forerunner blood!!! 343 told him in halo 3 what he was. People listen to the cutscenes in the game, you'll learn so much.

My introduction to the 343 forums. I have been a halo can since it first came out. I was four when my father brought home my first Xbox. And halo was the first game I ever played. Today, I enjoy writing fanfiction about the halo universe. I enjoy the games very much, but enjoy the books even more than the games. That tells you a lot about how good the halo storyline is. My top 3 favorite halo books are fall of reach, Ghosts of onyx, and cryptum. My favorite halo game is Halo 3. Obviously. I enjoy the soundtrack dearly from all the games. I have some issues with the ODST OST, but not much. I have many problems with Halo 4 OST , with some exceptions. I am a realist in halo. That means that, for example, when someone says halo is going to bring back original music or halo should bring it back, I say that Martin is no longer affiliated with 343 (formerly bungie, which took the name after a part of the company split), so I think either get a new composer, or more likely petition for improved music. I enjoy halo fanon very much!! I don't kno why I hadn't gotten an account until today, but I'm here now. I enjoy forum discussions, fanfiction reading/writing, and answering questions in the forums as well. I look forward to actively contributing to halo in an way I possibly can. Thank you.

ONI is helping storm on deal. If they helped Storm that one time, storm wouldn't attack Earth (even still, ONI knew better than to trust them). This proves that ONI and UNSC stupidly believe they are bigger than the galaxy.

You guys don't realize that halo 4 is meant to force people to work together. Ur gonna SUCK if u play alone, and used to HATE halo 4 for that. Once I realized I had to try harder to stay with a GROUP of people in the game, I began to see the value in the multiplayer. However, the only problem I ended up having was the LOADOUT WEAPONS. That problem was solved by the weapon tuning AN I LOVE IT!!!! DO NOT GO LONE WOLF UNLESS IT FITS YOUR GAME STYLE. SINCE ITS HAR TO COMMUNICATE IN GAME, TRY FORCING YOURSELF TO STICK WITH A GROUP AND TAKE ON THE LONE WOLF. THAT IS WHY, OVERALL LONE WOLF NEVER WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your friend is right and wrong: THIS EXPLAINS IT VERY DEEPLY. The UNSC means well in the way they act, but (as Dr. Halsey said) they act like children in a sandbox at play. What this means is they think they are bigger than the universe and completely disregard the obvious fact that their is more than just the covenant, and much worse. The didact and flood were some examples. The irony I find from the forerunner saga is that the guild of Warrior-Servants so closely act as the UNSC did. The didact was one of these warrior-servants and he though he could conquer the flood without using Halo. He was very, very wrong and eventually he refused to listen to the truth when it was he could evidently see the reality of the situation. The UNSC is straight-forward in the same way. The use the same method over and over and over again even when it fails them. EXAMPLE IN HALO 4 OF THE UNSC'S MISTAKES In the Halo 4 Spartan Ops, Doctor Halsey was SUPREMELY CORRECT about everything she suspected. The UNSC hid information from her and yet asked her to research the artifact without even giving her a hint. Idiotically, this info was the only way Dr. Halsey would have identified the true purpose of the artifact and would open new data points for expanded research. She found her info from the enemy (Jul Mdama) and was arrested without proof that would suspect her to be a traitor. In order to do her job and do it properly, she had to hack Roland, and learned not only was the UNSC hiding the info on the artifact, but also info on the Librarian and that John survived. She had a right to be angry at the UNSC for this, they couldn't even tell her 117 was alive even though his debriefing was the only thing TOP SECRET about his survival. The UNSC would have never found the Janis key because they think too cautiously and idiotically to find the true key to humanity's survival and evolution. And then, Sarah Palmer tries to execute Dr. Halsey, branding her a traitor without valid proof. Dr. Halsey may have communicated with Jul, BUT she shared no info to him and was offer research from the advanced Covenant itself. It was a research op that assigned Halsey to Infinity and she was arrested for doing her job. Dr. Halsey had never liked the UNSC, and I firmly agree with everything she says. Dr. Halsey's genes are actually from the Librarian forerunner who was the only forerunner who sought to sustain life and defeat the flood. I'm hoping we learn more about this in halo 5. I want others to kno that Dr. Halsey is the good guy in spartan ops (except for the revenge at the end). She is right to hate the UNSC and is right in what she does. There is much more proof in the novels as well and if you research the librarian, you'll find many similarities between he and Halsey. I believe the Chief will defend Halsey if the UNSC tries to kill her, but only once he learns her reasons, because John shares much of Halsey's views as well even if chief doesn't kno it yet. EXTRA: I am wondering if chief might fight Palmer in H5 to defend Halsey. Might be interesting to see spartan-leader chief fighting his replacement, but I highly doubt this would even happen

NOTE: I am a realist when I ask for things. (For example: I would love to have the original halo Music return, but I kno it's not possible, so I would ask for the next best thing: either a new composer whose music resembles halo music more or to improve for future compositions) Anyways, here's my list. Not entirely in order from most wanted to least 1) Bringing back an original halo character such as the Arbiter or a well-known Spartan-2 from the novels (I would love to see some characters from the originals novels come into the games, such as Kelly and Fred) 2) Improved future music (I kno it's impossible for Martin O'Donnell to return as composer, so realistically I say improve future music PLEASE. I liked liked the soundtracks: Arrival + awakening, but overall didn't resembled halo whatsoever) 3) Dual-Wielding/ bringing back SMGs - maybe dual wield energy swords as well 4) Better looking armor than from Halo 4 (Loved reach armor, halo 4 armor looked ugly.) 5) expanded Loadout options (some ideas: edit what type of shield you have, all with disadvantages and advantages over others + HUD modifier to edit how where your ammo icon is, shield icon is, etc.) 6) Elite permutations + scarier elites + PLASMA RIFLE. 7) more forerunner weapon + the upcoming H4 weapon update that will make them more usable. Larger maps for forging, racing, etc. 9) Brutes + new brute weaponry/brute infantry types 10) Matchmaking campaign, firefight, etc. (Loved halo 4 multiplayer and matchmaking, but wished they had the matchmaking campaign option.)
