Monster is about a talented neurosurgeon who saved the life of a child instead of a mayor, and this is met with repurcussions. That child is an antichrist of sorts with a complicated past. Time goes by and he resurfaces; Johan (the Monster) uses manipulation to kill people by proxy, ultimately working towards the perfect suicide: He wants to die while no one else lives. The neurosurgeon pursues him, trying to undo his mistake of saving the man's life.
