The world of Destiny is an immense frontier. Your missions as a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth will cover a lot of ground. To propel you from one location to the next, no matter which destination you’re fighting to recapture, there is the Shrike.
It swallows the landscape like a bird of prey with an insatiable appetite for scenery; be it the crimson dunes of Mars, the lush jungles of Venus, the dusty craters of the Moon, or the rusted wastes of our own homeworld.

It’s sleek, nimble, and fast – a worthy mount for any hero who risks life and limb to explore the lost settlements of our Golden Age. Guardians aboard Shrikes rocket across the frontier borne on contrails of light, delivered to the action at breakneck speed. In imagining your personal transport, Isaac Hannaford embraced a concept of the Shrike as your very own pride and joy. “We wanted to give Guardians the experience of having a glorious beast to convey them from place to place - something that represented them.”
Unlike the vehicles in your world, Tom Doyle promises us that the Shrike will only get better as you pack on the mileage. “The Shrike is something that you’ll upgrade over time in Destiny,” he says. “Right off the bat, the Shrike has three distinct paint schemes that correspond to your particular Class.”
“Each paint scheme has its own distinct color palette to reflect progression,” Doyle concludes, forecasting an evolution that will match your own. Your Shrike is just one more way to tell your fellow Guardians that you’ve seen things they wouldn’t believe.
