  1. Respawn entertainement is excited for titanfalls release but as the release date of March 11th is coming closer the studios have a new emotion is going around respawn entertainment and this new emotion is called fear. "Yes, but mixed with a bit of fear," Respawn cofounder Vince Zampella said to a fan on Twitter who asked if he was excited about the game's release on March 11. It appears the studio's trepidation surrounding Titanfall's launch comes down to the multiplayer-themed game's heavy dependence on its networking features, including its cloud-based functionality. "We want the launch to be as smooth as possible," Zampella added. "Beta should help." Last month, Respawn confirmed that a beta for Titanfall would be held on Xbox One and PC, but would not reveal its launch date but we all believe that the beta will come out on Valentine's Day. Zampella has now confirmed that you won't need to preorder Titanfall to gain access to the beta and it still remains unclear on how you'll be able to enter the beta. Titanfall is published by Electronic Arts, the publisher that oversaw the rocky launch of Battlefield 4, another online- and multiplayer-focused game. Last week, EA management assured players that Titanfall won't repeat Battlefield 4's launch woes. source
  2. As we all know Bungie who are the creators of halo is Making destiny which is the new multiplayer MMO which is being made by Bungie but destiny will have animals but it will not feature animal mounts. "We considered animal mounts, but the weight-load of the Titan’s heavy armor kept breaking their backs, and we knew that PETA would go absolutely berserk," This is what Bungie said on there latest Bungie weekly update. PETA (the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has previously spoken out about the treatment of animals in video games by creating Flash game parodies of titles like Super Meat Boy, Pokemon, and Mario. Animal mounts are not completely foreign to sci-fi experiences, as Star Wars fans will undoubtedly recall that franchise's extended use of such mounts. Like Halo before it, however, Destiny players can expect to find a host of standard vehicles to ride and attack enemies from but there are no pictures available yet. Bungie has not provide any details regarding what kinds of experiences Destiny players will find through The Companion. Second-screen experiences are becoming more and more commonplace and typically afford users a variety of features, including inventory management or the ability to learn more about the virtual world around them. Destiny launches for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 on September 9. A beta for the game will be available this summer first on PlayStation platforms. Preordering the game will guarantee you access to the pre-release trial period. source

  16. i agree even though most games are violent they should look at the positives instead of violence because some youtube vids and a lot of movies hold a ton of violence but some people who are depressed and a lot of people play games because of depression and i know i did start playing games because of it
  17. Titanfall testing is showing "great results," says EA boss. "We're really looking forward to seeing the gamer reaction in March." EA executives have said that the launch of much-anticipated shooter Titanfall will not be marred by technical hiccups, unlike the publisher's holiday blockbuster Battlefield 4. The company was asked the question last night during its quarterly earnings call, with EA Games chief Patrick Soderlund stepping in to explain the reasoning behind Battlefield 4's launch issues. "When Battlefield 4 launched," said Soderlund (transcription via Seeking Alpha), "it was a very complex game, launching on 2 entirely new console platforms, as well as current-gen and PC." "We were pushing innovation heavily and we're delivering 60 frames per second gameplay for 64 players plus the ability to connect via mobile tablet as a commander into the product, coupled those with some very innovative features in the gameplay side." EA was "confident" that Battlefield 4 was ready to launch when it did, based off its prelaunch testing. "Shortly after launch," Soderlund recalled, "we began hearing about problems from our player community, and the development team quickly began to address the situation." "The challenge that we've faced with Battlefield 4 were different from anything that we've seen before with other games," continued the exec, emphasising that EA is working to ensure that a similar thing does not happen in its future games, such as Titanfall. "There were different issues that only manifest its scale in the post-launch live environment. We're taking multiple steps to evaluate what occurred and incorporate those learnings into our development process for future products, so we don't experience the same problems again." DICE announced last night that February would be Battlefield 4's player appreciation month, and that the shooter will dish out a suite of bonuses to players as atonement for the game's shaky launch. CEO Andrew WIlson also stepped into the discussion, bringing up the experience of Respawn Entertainment and Microsoft in launching shooters. "We're currently moving through kind of public tests of Titanfall, and we're seeing great results and we're really looking forward to seeing the gamer reaction in March." Titanfall will launch for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11. Source: Gamespot
  18. im not surprised about this because EA loves money and they will do anything to make money
  19. I know what all of you are thinking and its probably "SAY WHAT?" or just WHAT but It appears that Microsoft has launched a mysterious marketing campaign to promote Titanfall, and investigating it further might earn you an Xbox One bundle and other rewards if you live in the UK. A Reddit user was the first to notice that Microsoft's "Invitation" television commercial was a little different than usual, with the ad stuttering and cutting away to pieces of binary code and an image of a briefcase. The binary code then led users to several websites where you can find the terms and conditions for the "Glitch Contest." They state that the contest started on Jan. 23, and that it will end Feb. 23. You must be over 18 and a resident in the UK to participate. "The entrant must complete the pre-determined steps that form a path with a dedicated start and end point. These have been created by parties working with Microsoft," the site reads. Prizes include an "Xbox console bundle," "14 Xbox items," digitally signed artwork, signed comics, game artwork, and codes for in-game extras. Reddit users have found several links and images that indicate the promotion is linked to Titanfall. One address references Hammond Robotics, the fictional companies in Titanfall that produces its giant mechs, and Respawn also tweeted "No hints!" when fans asked it directly about the meaning of one of the images. source

  21. PC maker Alienware has clarified a report from earlier this week that claimed the company's new Steam Machine could not be upgraded. As it turns out, while you will not be prevented from upgrading your system, it won't be easy. "Enabling customers the opportunity to upgrade components has been a core tenet for Alienware since the company was founded, and that remains true today," Alienware general manager Frank Azor told Eurogamer. "The Alienware Steam Machine, announced at CES, is designed to deliver a great gaming experience in the living room and we will enable customers to upgrade components," he added. "Considering we've purposefully designed the Alienware Steam Machine to be smaller than the latest generation consoles, upgrading the internal components will not be as easy as compared to other platforms, such as the Alienware X51, but we will not prevent a customer from upgrading." "there will be no customization options, you can't really update it." If you're dead set on upgrading your machine on a regular basis and you may be better with another Alienware product, like the X51," "We feel we have multiple options for customers based on their individual needs. If a gamer wants more freedom to upgrade, we have the X51," he said. "If they would prefer a smaller, more console-like system, we will offer the Alienware Steam Machine." This is what Alienware's general manager Frank Azor told Eurogamer. Valve unveiled a host of third-party Steam Machines at CES 2014 earlier this month, including Alienware's offering. The price of the machine is yet to be revealed. source
