  1. Update: February, 7 2016 Red Dead Redemption is now backwards compatible. Halo Wars is also coming to the list of backwards compatibility this month. Black Ops 1 is also backwards compatible later this month, as well as all its DLC. GTA: San Andreas and Bioshock Infinite have been said they will release alongside it. Microsoft also revealed that a new feature dubbed Community Calendar App has been rolled out and is now live on Xbox. "The Community Calendar provides a destination to help you easily discover hundreds of upcoming events, get involved and meet other gamers, game-creators, and even some of us here at Xbox. The Community Calendar also introduces new programming, as well as brings back some old favorites," said senior global manager, Mike Lavin.
  2. People do this all the time, not anything new. We don't need videos of it encouraging people either. It's pretty much not even fun, even to do with friends... I can see kill stealing an assassination from a friend as funny, but not knocking someone out of the REQ station. You wasting your time is pretty much also wasting that persons time, so now your team is short 2 people in a 10v12, and the guy at the REQ station is probably trying to pull out something vital. Cause I know for a fact that everytime I use the REQ station, it's for something good. And if someone were to knock me out of it, I'd use a different method of getting what I want. Mainly cause my teammates are idiots if they'd rather troll than play a competitive game.
  3. You know what? I actually sat down and broke this apart into pieces, in my spare time cause I'm bored and had nothing to do. And I found nothing, I'm pretty sure it's just a setup for something relevant though. It looks like a setup for a book, but I highly doubt it. Maybe the pictures in his posts have something to do with it? Anyways, we should wait until next week to see what he posts next, seeing as how this seems to be a weekly thing.

  5. Because 343 cares about "Esports" since Microsoft pushes for it. Halo 5 is getting Oddball, Grifball next update. Probably even Assault if Grifball goes back to its classic former glory, if not then we'll get Ricochet. Infection has been confirmed to come at a later date, just not next month. As for Territories, it's been replaced with Strongholds. Juggernaut is probably definitely not coming back, it was a terrible game mode that pretty much no one played. As for KOTH, hopefully it's coming back. It was a dumb game mode, but that's what made it fun. Especially in Multi-Team... So anyways, KOTH is a hope. The reason they're not in the game is because 343 hasn't released them yet, cause Microsoft pushed for an early release so now Halo 5 gets free updates. Which will deliver the goods we wanted in the beginning.
  6. Yesterday, February 2nd, 343 had released a small minor update (no download necessary), which lowered Warzone REQ costs. Not many of them have changed, however the ones that needed changed (because 343 should've done it in the first place.) At this point, all we can do is wait. 343 might add in Oddball, when the February update hits, so that'll break it down to SWAT, SWATNUMS, SWATBALL, and if they add in territories (like Halo Reach) that'll make 4 different modes... But at this rate, I don't think 343 cares about SWAT, so we're both kinda getting screwed over on this end. All we can do is wait, see what happens.
  8. That might just be your bad luck then, I get plenty of more BR SWAT's than SWATNUMS. As far as removing them, no. SWATNUMS has always been in SWAT since Halo 3, removing them would be ridiculous. My advice would be to get used to it, or start playing something else and dropping in every now and then. For example, I tend to play SWAT, but you'll probably see me playing Team Arena or Warzone more-so, I'll play like 2-3 matches of SWAT, then return to another playlist I was playing.

  10. Fans have uncovered a listing for an unannounced game called "Young Conker" on the Windows Store, Game Rant reports. The game has a Teen rating and has not been confirmed by Microsoft. As almost great as it sounds, high hopes that this is coming true. Conker's Bad Fur Day, was a great game, and seeing as how they haven't made a great game since 2005, not including Rare Replay as it's just a reboot of the games, this would probably be the next on the list. Conker's Bad Fur Day was rated "M" for Mature at the time, due to graphic cartoon violence, alcohol use, tobacco use, profanity, vulgar humor, dark humor and pop culture references, including several film parodies. Safe to say, if this "rumor" is to come true, "Young Conker" will most likely be fitted somewhere in the same category. Let's hope Rare Ltd. is the one that's 'making' it this time, instead of Project Spark being its destruction. Source
  11. You need to keep up with the developers on Twitter and the community. Grifball, Gravity Hammer, Oddball, Ricochet (Maybe), and Assault (Likely) are all coming next month. It's been confirmed, plus there's news going around that they're doing the "ball" gametypes first. Which is grifball... etc. Then they're doing the fun game types... Infection, Action Sack... In time we'll have everything the community enjoys again.
  12. Well according to a lot of things on Waypoint, people are freaking out over weapon skins. Since now Pizza Slices and McDonald Fries are now canon... As far as canon goes, 343 made the mistake of making multiplayer canon. That's where all the plotholes happen, and now they're stuck having to explain everything even more in order to make it cannon. Maps, Armors, Weapon Skins, Warzone... They created more work for themselves than they intended to.
  13. I've already had this discussion and lost. FOTUS is canon, as it's in Spartan Ops. Plus a variation of it has to exist somewhere for it to be in War Games.
  14. As far as my knowledge, nobody cares about lore when it comes to armor. "ODST armor" is literally an aesthetic appearance that shares its looks for both ODST's and Spartan's. Since there is literally different generation variants of the armor. Why? Idk, ask 343 why Misriah Company and Cascade Stronghold Technologies would make armor that look the same, for different soldiers but operate completely different from each other. The answer to that is simple, it's armor. It's literally for Cosmetics/Aesthetics, nothing else. Coming from a guy who's upset there's no lore for "Kinetic bolts", have you ever heard anyone say "Man, I'm not going to wear the Mark V armor, in the lore its shields sucks. I'd rather have an armor that's the newest and up to date."? Because for one, I sure haven't.

Fireteam Silver Viper is in position, ready to provide overhead fire support.” Archangel laid underneath a few broken shards of what laid left of the Long Night of Solace. “Copy that, Fireteam Rattle is moving towards the coordinates now. So far no sign of any contact of any sort. However, be prepared to engage. Take your fireteam and lay read for an ambush if needed.” Alex motioned towards Doc and Sarge, who stood in a 8-4 position, to move forwards with him as they approached, the target was approximately 200 meters away. “Roger that, Fireteam Ice Strikers will be set in position. Over and out.” Archangel motioned at Destroyer and Dexter to get into position. Not that they had to go far, but they still had to lay low and keep a lookout. They knew better to not screw up when Ash wasn’t on sniper duty. “Approaching position. Silver Viper, how are we doing?” Alex halted in the desolated wasteland. A wind picked up, not much else. “Nothing so far, tracker is offline.” Ash said, and that’s all she would say. “Roger that, we’ll keep moving forward.” Alex said, he motioned for Doc and Sarge to continue up to the sand dune. The ground started to shake, almost as if an earthquake was about to happen. “Ash, what’s going on, is it Covenant?” Alex stood his ground. “Sir?” Doc asked, he had trouble holding his balance. Sarge already fell over and struggled to stand up. “Shouldn’t we move?” “No, let’s wait to see what happens.” Alex stated. “Reach had quite a lot of these tremors, particulary in this area.” Alex put away his weapon. “Sir.” Ash said over the communications, but was cut off. A tall, large, metallic object arose from undeneath the ground. As it arose, wings expanded and it released an ear piercing sound. The Fireteams stood there in shock. Not knowing what to do. Could it be Covenant? Or is this related to those Prometheans that they’ve been warned about? Finally, the object stood stationary. Right above Alex. He watched as something, that looked like an egg of some sort but also more like a metal pod, opened up and a creature jumped out of it. As it landed on the ground, it shattered to a thousand pieces, but they instantly brought themseles back together. “Holy crap.” Sarge said. “This thing must be like 17 feet tall.” The creature stepped forward, definitely a Promethean of some sort... Maybe a knight? Most likely a Knight Commander for sure. Alex wasn’t going to care for this, “Fireteams. Prepare to engage!” As the Knight approached them, more Prometheans spawned in from behind. Some of them crawled off the giant object, and down its ‘spine’, there was a ton of them. The Knight decided to open its mouth, “For thousands of years I had laid dormant, who has disturbed my slumber?” ~End of Prologue~

    Pelican looks pretty cool, a lot better on aesthetics than what I can do... Also, just to let you know. 343 is supposed to be releasing this thing where you can save certain group objects and then bring them to other maps. It's sort of a copy and paste thing they're doing, I think it's supposed to come out this update. But if not, it's still an available option that's coming to Halo 5.
