    Based off of Luke Smith's reaction to a question in his interview about The Taken King, I've concluded the Traveler is evil.

      There is a big theory that the Traveler was the one to curse the Hive with the darkness, and abandoned them. It explained the roles of the worms, and the Wizards trying to heal the Hive.
