Well, my name came from an extinct flightless bird called a moa. The joke in my name is in the "Uncooked" part of it. Uncooked came from the Moa flavored burgers from Halo: Reach. Thus, meaning that the moa is destined to be food, it may not be cooked yet, but it will be. Thus why it has gone extinct. Humans have been eating them.

 

However, comedy isn't where my username ends. My name also means "unseen potential." Uncooked means I have a lot to learn and have potential yet to be unleashed. The moa is a flightless bird and it is extinct, showing me as the underdog (flightless) who has something others don't (that "something" is extinct).

 

I enjoy many games of different genres. But my favorite game is Halo, hence why I'm here. I enjoyed the entirety of the Halo series since I played the first one back in 2003, with the release of Halo PC.

 

Besides Halo, I enjoy games such as BioShock, Half-Life, Crimson Skies, Metroid, Alan Wake, Metal Gear, Super Mario, Gears of War, Far Cry, Ace Attorney, Dark Souls, Dynasty Warriors, Elder Scrolls, Minecraft, Splinter Cell, Conker, Ghost Trick, Legend of Zelda, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Red Dead Redemption, Dishonored, Soul Calibur, FTL Faster Than Light, 3089, Ace of Spades, Doom, Unreal Tournament, Quake, Marathon, Fallout, Tomb Raider, Age of Empires, StarCraft, Civilization, Sims, Vanquish, Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk, Monster Hunter, Samurai Warriors, Papers Please, Resident Evil, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Forza Motorsport, Project Gotham, Need For Speed, Geometry Wars, Borderlands 2 (Didn't like the first), Call of Duty (Before MW3), Battlefield, Surgeon Simulator, Bejeweled, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, LA Noire, Katamari, Beyond Good and Evil, Rayman, Ninja Gaiden, Max Payne, Sleeping Dogs, Sniper Elite, Singularity, Spider-Man, X-Com Enemy Unknown, Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Portal, Quantum Conundrum, Q.U.B.E., Antichamber, and...Well, you probably get the fact I play a lot of games. I could list more, but I'm tired typing all that...

 

As for movies, I enjoy action movies, drama movies and cerebral movies that test the brain. My favorite of which are Christopher Nolan's which are able to find a balance between the above. I also am quite fond of JJ Abrams. His movies may have many loose ends and are at times completely dumb, but he finds a way to inject strong emotion in his movies and I really feel the events that happen. It's not supposed to be a smart movie. Among my favorite movies are Memento, Star Trek 2009, Dead Poets Society, Mission Impossible III, Inception, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Saving Private Ryan and a lot of others...

 

As for TV shows, I have a few of them. I did enjoy Falling Skies and Walking Dead. Beyond live action, I've got Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. As for web series, there's Red vs. Blue and RWBY. I've just started building up on anime with Halo Legends and Sword Art Online. I'm currently checking out Attack On Titan after several people recommended it to me... I did watch Pokemon and Blue Dragon when I was younger. I really fall short when it comes to "episode based" things.

 

Well, I watched anime when I was younger (3-7 years old). I've stopped for 5 years, due to not have an anime channel on TV and not knowing where to find any on the internet at the time.

 

Only now have I come back to re-explore the entire medium again. With that said, I really like anime a lot. When I was younger, I watched Pokemon, Beyblade, Naruto and Blue Dragon. But then I stopped for a while. Now, I've started up again with Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Sword Art Online and Shakugan no Shana.

 

As for books, I did read and enjoy books that were required reading in school from Robinson Crusoe, Gulliver's Travels, Treasure Island, A Tale of Two Cities, Around the World In 80 Days, Animal Farm, etc. I also read books myself. I enjoyed Isaac Asimov's Foundation books. I've also read the older Halo books (Basically, everything before Halo Cryptum). I also like Tom Clancy and Stephen King. I used to read young adult books such as Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, but they feel lacking now, personally. They're great for light reading, but for the most part, I find it corny now..

 

As for comics, well, I don't really follow comics. I'd love to, but I just casually read them. I sometimes read Marvel and DC comics. I casually read web comics for comedy. I've also read Halo comics. I'm interested in going deeper with other less mainstream comics. But I have yet to do so. It's even worse for manga, which I have minimal knowledge of at the moment.

 

FAVORITE MUSIC:

 

In music, I typically like rock music since I like the sound, it's not as mainstream as pop and it's normally very easy to find on the internet in comparison to genres like jazz, folk, etc. If I choose to listen to music, most of the time, I'll listen to rock. I typically listen to 30 Seconds To Mars, Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Muse etc. Yes, I know, lots of angst there, but I like the sound. I also like The Heavy, Nico Vega, Arctic Monkeys, Trocadero, Jeff Williams and a slew of other lesser known rock artists.

 

I also listen to movie/video game soundtrack. I love the Halo soundtracks from Martin O'Donnell (My favorites being Under Cover of Night and of course, the main theme and don't forget Halo 3 ODST's incredible Finale theme and...oh forget it, at this rate, I'll be mentioning every single track). The Halo Wars soundtrack by Stephen Rippy with all the ambience and emotion they have (My favorite of which is Insignificantia). I also liked the Age of Empires 3 soundtrack. The Halo 4 soundtrack is really good too, but definitely the least effective in the series, although I liked "To Galaxy" a lot. I'm also fond of the Elder Scrolls soundtracks by Jeremy Soule. The Crysis 2 soundtrack by Hans Zimmer was great too and had a sense of mystery around it (especially the main theme). Inception's soundtrack wasn't half bad. I really liked "Time". Star Trek Into Darkness soundtrack was quite nice, especially the main theme. Minecraft's soundtrack by C418 is nice to listen to with all its ambience (Especially Sweden). Don't forget the iconic soundtracks of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Mission Impossible, etc.

 

I'm also quite fond of folk, jazz, classical, metal, electronic and country music. Just that I'm not as open to these genres in comparison to rock music and soundtracks, which I like almost all the time. I'm more particular with these music.

 

Another type of music Im quite fond with is Japanese music. So long as it sounds "quite like" rock and not the random techno sounds and high pitched voices from that people on the internet rave about...

 

Classical music is really great for relaxing and thinking and it has a unique sound not present today. You know who they are. Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. Folk is peaceful and gives a lot of ambience. I like Simon and Garfunkel's music and a couple of lesser known folk artists, such as Jackson C. Frank. Jazz feels soothing and is similar to folk, in my opinion. I barely know any jazz, but I thought "I Don't Know Why" was quite good. Metal is angry. I like the screaming to be done occasionally, or subtly. Otherwise, it'll end up just as chaotic as dubstep. AC/DC is quite good here with well known "Highway to Hell". Electronic needs a sense of style to be good, With that said, when done correctly, electronic msuic is stylish. Not like the random noise that most dubstep music has. It should be done like "GRiZ - The Future Is Now" or "Justice - Genesis", with nods to past music. As for country music, it's quite close to pop. I don't listen to it often, but there are a few exceptions such as Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, which I like a lot. I used to really hate rap. But that changed when I heard Linkin Park, Zack Hemsey and Jeff Williams. Jeff Williams - Pray is the best example of good rap my opinon. Mainstream rap just isn't done well and is just as bad as mainstream pop.

 

As for the genres I haven't mentioned, I'm really "just okay" with pop and dubstep, just not fond of listening to it. If it's playing in the background beyond my control, I don't mind. Most dubstep sounds like random noises going back and forth, it's so chaotic that I don't want to listen to it if I'm alone. As for mainstream pop, the lyrics get so corny most of the time with very few exceptions and the topics they deal with in the lyrics are always the same topics over and over. Not to mention the chorus just repeats. It's very repetitive. I really wonder why pop is the favorite genre of the mainstream crowd. The best pop music comes from the past, sadly.
