I see your sense of humor. Salutations! Welcome to these forums, where everyone knows how to "360 noscope" you, too. Read the rules and we'll not have to clean up after a mess made by the giant black hole slowly coming to swallow us all. Remember, no moa ("No Russian" reference intended).

So, you're making an anime and a game... Interesting... You really need a better username, though, since you're using 1337 5P34K on it and it's confusing to some. What game are you making?

I agree with you. But I've noticed some people consider RWBY anime. The many opinions of the internet... *sigh* I myself think that anime is an art form and is mostly based on the art direction and partially based on story telling style that seperates it from other animation.

Very well written article you have here! Interesting to read. Sure, it was just for a school course, but you should be getting paid for this. It presents many excellent points. It's so good, that I'll be looking at this whenever someone argues that video games cause violence.

Salutations! Welcome to this forum, which actually holds the secret that the oh mighty Didact cat has kept for centuries. Hidden, with a password of the neumber "7". Tread carefully, or we'll have a rip in the space time continuum to deal with. So, read the rules and we'll not have to clean up after a mess. Also, NO MOA BURGERS, or you'll hear body parts squishing and tearing a part. Enjoy your stay! Free cookies for everyone! I've noticed you're a modder. A Halo modder, at that. Interesting, if I say so myself. Are you using JTAG or RGH? I'm using an RGH myself.

New here trying to figure out where to leave my thoughts

Hmm...Interesting definition you have there. Everywhere I else I look seems to say otherwise, though. This whole anime definition stuff is really confusing. On some places I hear people say the same thing you do, but on most places I hear people say otherwise and say that anime is only made in Japan because the term originates in Japan since it's basically just "animation" in Japanese. These people insist that anime is only made in Japan so much that definition has caught on in so many other places. A quick Google search should show this. Most people insist that anime is only animation made in Japan. But the animation that TheStig mentioned in the second half of his post really are cartoons. Perhaps Last Airbender is excusable, but the others are cartoons throughout. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, actually. Just enjoy everything. I myself believe that anime is an art style. But the majority seems to believe it's animation only in Japan.

Well, I watched anime when I was younger. I've stopped for a few years but slowly started reconsidering. Only now have I come back to re-explore the entire medium again. With that said, I really like anime a lot. When I was younger, I watched Pokemon, Beyblade (The original, not the newer ones), Naruto and Blue Dragon. But then I stopped for a while. Now, I've started up again. Thanks to anime-influenced animation such as The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra and Rooster Teeth's RWBY and not to mention Halo itself was an anime (Halo Legends), I slowly went back to anime. Currently, I've finished up on Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo and Sword Art Online. I'm planning to go try out Attack On Titan. Since I've obviously missed out on a lot of anime, I'll be going to check out Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Oreimo, A Certain Magical Index, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Fairy Tail and whatever anime I'll bump into no matter how old or new they are. I'm probably going to check out the ones mentioned in this thread. Since I've just started again now and really haven't watched a lot even when I was younger, I really can't say my favorite anime character, since I've seen too few to make a justified answer. I would have said I love anime, but that isn't justified until I've seen at least 50 anime series completely. =========================================== REPLIES TO PREVIOUS POSTS: Googled up all of those anime. You, sir, have the most interesting list on this thread. Teach me your ways! Hate to break it to you, but the The Last Airbender is not anime. It's an anime influenced American animation. It's not made in Japan. The only exception to the "anime is made in Japan" rule is that it's made in Asian countries near Japan (Korea, China). No matter how close it is to anime, it really isn't. Because it's not made in Japan. Then Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad and Bobs Burgers are cartoons that aren't even anime influenced. I just thought it'd be better to tell you this myself. Many people on the internet told me this.

Games You Love That Were Overlooked By Everyone
UncookedMoa replied to UncookedMoa's topic in General Discussion
Great work! Lists with actual YouTube videos on them. I always appreciate the effort. Project: Snowblind looks fun. I'll have to check it out sometime I overlooked PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale myself. It really is very similar to Super Smash Bros. I've tried out Alpha Protocol already and thought it was decent fun. Paper Mario? Well, I guess it is overlooked...I only play the Mario platformers, so I overlooked it myself. Gotcha Force looks interesting. Seems similar to vehicular combat games for the PS1. Stuntman looks fun, but "Next Car Game", coming soon, seems to blow it out of the water thanks to new technology. But I'll check out all the games you listed. Even I overlooked that game. It doesn't exactly have the best trailer in the world. I looked at the trailer back when it was new and wondered why it was so loosely based on Batman. I looked at the gameplay and thought that it looked fun. But I still haven't tried it out yet.- 24 replies

Games You Love That Were Overlooked By Everyone
UncookedMoa replied to UncookedMoa's topic in General Discussion
Judging from the trailer, it's really going to be a very good game. Especially how they claim it's open world. Urban Terror? Well, I played it for a while back in the day and liked it. Didn't play it intensively. Don't mention MW3 to me and we're good. I thought MW3 was terrible. Black Ops 2? Ehhh just okay. Zombies was fun and that's all. Ghosts? Mediocre. Anything before MW3 was really good. After that, the series felt boring and uninspired. Dishonored was overlooked? Since when? I thought it was very successful actually. I'll have a look at DeathSpank and Spellforce. I'll have a look at that. Seems interesting. And here I thought this game was a fighting game only to find out it's actually an action adventure. I'll check it out.- 24 replies

Crazy Grunt's Riddle Challenge (Round 6)
UncookedMoa replied to Axilus Prime's topic in General Discussion
What about.... The Forerunner Crystal? KNOWN IN THE COVENANT AS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: The Fragment of Divinity, The Shard of the Gods, or the Holy Light EXPLANATION FOR MY LINE OF REASONING: If it's wrong....Heh, I tried... -
I have to disagree. You barely see a game from 2003 still having 1,000 players per day online and still have maps and mods actively made for it. Sure, the numbers aren't as big as modern games have, but it's impressive for a game as old as it is. As for the "lack of new maps" on Halomaps.org being uploaded, well, Dennis (Halomaps.org founder) was on vacation for a while... The thing is, he doesn't post maps without testing them (And for a good reason. If he uploaded any map without testing, there'd be a lot more maps for download and you'd download it but find out it was broken. That would be a waste of time) So, none of the maps uploaded from June to now were put up on Halomaps.org. There are somewhere over 200 map files right now measuring over 10GB that are yet to be uploaded. Dennis said so himself here: In the mean time, a separate group of people organized a website for CE3 (An event for Custom Edition started in 2010 as a showcase for maps) and have now used it not only for showing off Halo maps, but also as another place to upload/download Halo maps: http://haloce3.com/ The above website is where Takedown: Project Lawson was released alongside a lot of other great maps. Including a "Halo Star Wars", "BattleCraft", and a firefight map called "Firefight Amnesia". Also uploaded on CE3 is an entirely different map called "Strategy Game Variant" which, as the name implies, is done in a similar way to Halo Wars. It's quite fun, to be honest: Halo PC is still alive. Many quality mods are still being made.

Halo Forward Unto Dawn wasn't necessarily "bad" nor was it as amazing as you folks here claim it to be. It was cliche and it showed Halo in quite a generic way. This is one of the reasons why I found several parts of Forward Unto Dawn corny. This along with the cliched bootcamp training where the main character disobeys orders - just because he wants to. It was entertaining, yes, but it felt like a B-movie for teens in my opinion because they added romance - just for the sake of romance. Character development was quite lacking for most of the charaters too. That said, I'd say Forward Unto Dawn is a solid 7/10.

I still play Halo PC. Halo Custom Edition to be precise. It still has quite an active community. This map in particular, which has yet to be released, looks really impressive and aims to remake The Silent Cartographer entirely. They also plan on doing every other level in Halo CE: This completely custom singleplayer map with decent voice acting and an entertaining story was very fun too: This other custom single player level was fun too: Not to mention a lot of things from later Halo games have been modded in already. The best of these in my opinion is this one, being awfully close to Halo 3: Firefight has also been modded in, all of them are very fun. My favorite of among the Firefight maps is this one:
