  1. His motivations seems to be rage, not religion, it's easy to see. He persuaded Haley the same way, by speaking to her anger instead of her rationality.
  2. The reason there are no forerunner vehicles is probably the fact that the Didact is the only one left. Prometheans do not have need of them and since the forerunners are extinct except for the Didact of course, I think most of their vehicles are gone or wasted away. with exception of those on shield worlds (Halo wars shows some) But also don't forget that the UNSC infinity uses some reverse engineered forerunner tech and most of the covenant used reverse engineered forerunner tech. Why would there be any need for them if there is no one to steer it, I think most resources went toward maintaining the Halo arrays and the shield worlds, vehicles would be absolute.
  3. Bucunshulf sums it up quite nice. One of the things I remember reading, was that during the Sangheilli civil war, they attacked the arbitter and that the UNSC Infinity interferred. There has indeed happened a lot between the games.
  4. The shotgun is still a one shot kill. It changed somewhat, but the damage output is still incredibly high.
  5. Watch yer mouth, I am still the older twin. grrrr
  6. You know, I am loving your posts more and more. I felt the same way, but you describe it with such tact and honesty, that I just can't disagree. Even if I gave a statement about what I consider the core gameplay, I just can't disregard your arguments, I can only give my opinion. Keep being awesome!
  7. I sadly can not join since it will be my parents birthday (both born on dates within a week of eachother)
  8. Its a weapon you could use for the following things if your timing is great: EMP'ing a vehicle and hi-jacking it Taking down tough enemies in the campaign ambushing players in online (get a br or dmr and plasma loadout) But it is a lot weaker in Halo 4, hence my notion of having a great timing.
  9. Sup bro, welcome to our little piece of heaven on the internet. Please disregard Zebra he is kinda weird. Have fun, post a lot and see you on the battlefield.
  10. There is a vitamin literally named Sonic the hedgehog. Can't see why they should not call this one masterchiefium
  11. Hey Zach welcom to these forums, you are going to have a great time here and are sure to make some friends. See you on the battlefield.
  12. That was a long read and an incredibly well written post, I do however have to disagree on some points. I think Halo has a core gameplay mechanic, it's what sets it apart from other FPS titles. Halo introduced a concept called the golden triangle. The golden triangle is a refference to Halo's control scheme: one button for shooting, one button for melee and one button for grenades. This is one of the only things I see as a "core" mechanic. CoD uses this as well and in the later Battlefield games this mechanic was also introduced. Now I know CoD was mostly a pc game, but Halo introduced it to consoles. The other thing I consider a core mechanic are the vehicles, not in terms of there being vehicles, but again in terms of controls. Halo uses a very different control scheme for vehicles, mostly by turning the camera where you want the said vehicle to go. This adds another factor to what defines Halo, your spacial awareness while driving. Due to the camera being your steer, controlling a vehicle gives you more control over the vehicle, allowing you to drift, turn or change direction on the fly. This makes vehicle feel less sticky or heavy to turn. I consider myself a fan/ hardcore fan of Halo, but also a bit of a purist, namely that I consider myself to be a veteran of the series, however I do not use this in arguments about Halo. I think you probably also noticed all the hate about Halo 4 sometimes swooping over the forums, giving arguments is frowned upon and opinions are stated as false, something which bothers me a lot, because coming back with an argument is nearly impossible. I respect that you take the time to clarify some of the aspects of being a fan and your conclusion is in alignment of my own opinion of what makes you a fan.
  13. But the whole point is that it is playable. I do give you that DLC became next to worthless in Halo thanks to forge and that it really limits the experience of the DLC, because some of them are really great maps.
  14. Nice article, well written, keep improving and try avoiding the word "Also" it's just so, blergh. and centering your text makes reading some what a hassle. Destiny suck lolololololololololol* (HALOOOOOO) *This is for annoyng P34nut, all others please disregard that statement.
  15. I think it was a strange choice, there seems to be some reasons behind it, but nonetheless a strange choice.
  16. I like Halo 4, It was a much needed change. Sure Reach was cool, but not at all inovative. Halo 4 tried something new and I liked it, Halo 5 will be better, but 343i showed that they can make a series better and for their first game, they did incredible work.
  17. I play Halo, because of CoD (mostly negative reasons though) Welcome toasty and here is someting for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7KK7bXJV2c
  18. It does need a Beta in my opinion, fan feedback is a powerfull tool. It was a good thing 343i did, maybe they took some bad chances, but I think they learned from their misstakes in the past. Bungie wasn't taking Halo in any direction, reach was fun, but not at all inovative (sure assassinations are cool and all). Halo 4 in my opinion is a fresh wind, but sadly with some rain. Remove the rain, let us see how, before you release it and make sure that the years after will be nothing but sunshine! Because I know they can and I know they will.
  19. Most of them already did a 1v1. Ruby I played against you yesterday and you have improved a lot, so keep on trying!
  20. The needler is a powerfull weapon, even in lore base it is. Though they could easily be countered. I ussually dodge them by straffing as fast as I can or just run past the needles (quite a trick as they track really really fast). Running past them requires a fast reaction speed though.
  21. Welcome comrade (god that sounded cheesy.) I hope you have fun here, join a community event, explore some posts, annoy Unease P34nut. See you on the battlefield.
