  1. I've got nothing to do on Sundays and I haven't played ODST in a few years so yeah, I'll play!
  2. Awesome, hope you can make it!
  3. Oh, must have been Ethan then... Thanks, Ethan!
  4. No problemo, Dan! And thanks to you for promoting it to an article I've got a big games wishlist as well! Right now, I'm really looking forward to new Halo, Destiny, and The Crew.
  5. Thank you, thank you! And yeah, as I said before, I actually like the new Kinect a lot. Not too many devs have been implementing it into their games thus far, aside from DICE (they made it so you can say commands and your character will shout them in BF4) but I find myself using it a lot to navigate around the console's menus. AND the "Xbox, Record That" feature is awesome. If you're looking to save $100, I'd recommend going with the new Kinect-free option. If you don't mind spending the additional $100 for some more voice-control features, I'd recommend buying a used Xbox One off amazon/eBay or getting the Titanfall bundle if Walmart still has them for $450.
  6. Microsoft has finally heard the community's cries and decided to release a Kinect-free Xbox One! The console will retail at $399 (the same price as the PS4) and will start shipping in a little less than a month, on Monday June 9th!! Hopefully this will allow more people to make the shift from the Xbox 360 over to the Xbox One, in addition to helping Microsoft catch up to Sony in hardware sales (the PS4 has sold 3 million more units than the XB1 to date). Any of you guys going to go out and buy a Kinect-free XB1 on June 9th?! I already have one and personally believe the Kinect is an important part of the console and its user interface (some might disagree) so I don't feel cheated by the price drop. Source: Kotaku

  10. In case the pictures aren't doing it for ya, here's the official trailer for Expedition. It looks pretty sweet, if I do say so myself!
  11. Awesome, dude! Good to hear I haven't hosted customs in a while so I'm not sure I have those maps... Hopefully someone else does! If you do, just put them in your file share while we're between games and I'll gladly download/host them And big thanks for adding it to the calendar!
  12. Been a little while since I played customs on Halo 3, so I'll be hosting FUN H3 customs next Monday night! More info - http://343i.org/1vn

  13. I see! I guess this is just one of those things where you know something most-likely isn't possible but you hope for a miracle and remain optimistic that it will. A lot of the community has been asking for a Halo 2 Anniversary for a while now and I think there's a great demand for a return of the game's multiplayer... hopefully that was enough inspiration for MS and the devs to make it happen.
  14. Sorry, I'm not a game developer and I have no idea how this kind of stuff like this works. And you'll have to forgive me for not doing hours upon hours of research on every technical aspect of a video game before making a forum post; I just spent 5 months writing research paper after research paper and I'd like to take a break from that. Anyway, I see where the problem would lie with having to build a new engine for the game itself to run on, but why would having a secondary engine for the updated graphics be a problem? Saber Interactive did that for CE Anniversary and it worked very well.
  15. Hello, everyone! I already posted an event for this on Halo Customs but I figured you guys would be interested in knowing I'll be hosting FUN custom games on Halo 3 next Monday, May 19th!! Things will start around 8pm EST and all you need to do is send me a message on Xbox Live 15 minutes beforehand. Here's some more info, along with some restated info... Game: Halo 3 My GT: dylan guitar Date: Monday, May 19th Time: 8pm EST As you can probably tell by the title of this post, we'll be playing FUN games! No serious stuff like MLG Variant 69; just fun stuff like Garbage Man, Jenga, Sky Castle and whatever games you guys would like to play. I hope to see some of you there! If you want to, you can RSVP to the event I made on Halo Customs by going here and clicking on the green check mark (Halo Customs account needed).
  16. I understand, it's just that he was criticizing me for saying things I didn't actually say. And I have to disagree that there's no reason for a Halo 2 Anniversary. Halo 2 was one of the biggest online FPS games of its time and it played a big role in the original Xbox's success. It was and still is iconic. I think the 10th anniversary of the game's release calls for an anniversary edition, especially if it would mark the return of the game's multiplayer! Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary wasn't a cash cow because it didn't have its own built-in multiplayer... and despite that, it managed to sell more than 2 million copies, essentially being nothing more than a re-skinned version of the original game. If the devs learn from their mistakes with Combat Evolved Anniversary and include built-in multiplayer in the anniversary edition of Halo 2, I'm certain it would sell much better than CE Anniversary. There are still over 1,000 people playing Halo 2 online over system link services like Xlink Kai and Xbox Connect, after all... 10 years after the game came out, mind you.
  17. Ha! Alright, whatever you say. I didn't make any mention of the features that are supposed to be included in the game, all I said was I'm very confident it's going to be coming out on November 9th of this year. And I did back up my "claims" with evidence from research. You would have known all of this if you had read my post before bashing me Thanks for insulting me, though - I appreciate it!
  18. I think there's waaaaay more proof behind Halo 2 Anniversary coming out than there is to Fallout 4 being a thing. I mean, it simply wouldn't make sense for there not to be a Halo 2 Anniversary. If H2 Anniversary isn't released on November 9th, 2014, MS will have to wait another 5 years for the 15th anniversary of the original game's release for an "Anniversary" edition to make any sense.
  19. I'm almost 100% sure 343's big reveal at E3 is going to be Halo 2 Anniversary http://343i.org/1vj

    1. Zelda

      Zelda

I have replied my opinion of it.

  20. So as most of us know, the release date for Halo 2 Anniversary has recently been rumored to be November 9th, 2014. And as some of us may have not known, that exact date marks the 10th anniversary of Halo 2's initial release on the original Xbox. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was released on the 10th anniversary of H:CE's initial release. This, among many other things, leads me to believe Halo 2 Anniversary WILL be released on November 9th of this year and that our 'next Halo experience' 343i has been taking about for the past few months will actually be H2 Anniversary. After all, 343i has been saying it's going to be making a big reveal for the next Halo game at this year's E3, where Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (also released in the month of November) was also officially announced in June of 2011. And Peanut did just post about a blogger claiming to have inside info on Microsoft's E3 press conference leaking info on a Halo 2 Anniversary announcement (as well as a Halo 5 release date reveal) taking place at E3 '14. --- So, what do you guys think? Is our 'next Halo experience' that 343i has been teasing for quite some time now going to be Halo 2 Anniversary? I'm almost certain of it myself but I'm interested in what you guys think the devs will announce at E3!
  21. I'm one of those boring people who have non-customized controllers... and it looks like I'm also one of the few people who prefer wired controllers to wireless ones (I'd get a wired XB1 controller if they sold them). Here's what I'm working with...
  22. Made myself a fancy new signature... I think it looks pretty nice!

  23. Yeeep, already got my pre-order in @ Gamestop!
  24. "It’s a first-person shooter at 60 frames per second." 60 FPS?!
