  1. Don't know if I've posted in this thread before or not (I probably have) but I've got a few things I'd like to see / wouldn't like to see in Halo 5... So, here's what I'd like to see in the game: Power weapons spawning on map @ start, respawning regularly Weapon skins like those in Halo 4, but they're unlockable Higher frame-rate so sprinting doesn't wreck your camera More emblem customization options (Black Ops 1 & 2 got that really right) More character color customization options (I'd like to make custom colors, not just presets) The race game mode! I was disappointed when it wasn't included in Halo 4 FIRE FIGHT! Spartan Ops just wasn't up to par Monthly / weekly / daily challenges like those in Halo Reach DUAL WIELDING! And here's some stuff I don't wanna see in the game: Ordnance drops, power weapons spawning on map are enough Customizable classes, I liked it when everyone spawned with a game mode's pre-set guns Well, it's not something I want completely eliminated from the game, but less forge maps in matchmaking Kill cams... and if they have to be included, at least make them better! H4 kill cams SUCKED And that's all I can really think of right now!
  2. Lol, the dude reports on anything and everything, all for the views. I think he got his start on here too, didn't he? I seem to remember him having a pretty active news thread on here when the site first launched...
  3. Neither can I! This will be the first time I actually watch E3 in something like 3 years!!
  4. I appreciate that Also, I have an update! According to someone in the comment section on the Xbox One advertisement w/ this easter egg, Halo Waypoint has issued a response! I wasn't able to find it anywhere on their Twitter, Facebook, or website but this is what they said apparently: “The Xbox One dashboard images shown in the recently released “Xbox One Design Show” video, were placeholder and not indicative of future game content. As previously stated, your next ‘Halo’ journey will begin in 2014, and we’ll have more detail to share at E3 in June.” Sooooo... I guess this means Infinity Slayer and Haven won't be making a return in Halo 5. Or maybe Halo for Xbox One isn't even going to be Halo 5 after all?!
  5. Lol, I'd be okay with Haven making a return - it was a pretty awesome map! Infinity Slayer, not so much. The GTs in the video obviously aren't real so this is definitely CG.
  6. So... either Infinity Slayer and Haven will be making a return in Halo 5 or I'm an idiot who looks way too far into things, haha http://343i.org/1v9

Sooo... This means no public beta?

      Screech

What are you basing that on? I mean, H4 didn't have a public beta so I could see why you'd think H5 wouldn't... but I'd hope they would learn from the mistakes they made with the last game and have a beta for this one.

  7. Alright alright alright, this might not seem like a big thing (it probably isn't) but it seemed pretty cool when I saw it! In Microsoft's new advertisement showcasing the Xbox One's Windows 8-style user interface, there's an easter egg for Halo 5!!! Skip to the 50 second mark in the above video and you'll see a notification about someone named Pit Bear playing "Halo 5 - Infinity Slayer on Haven" in the news feed. Obviously, the game mode Infinity Slayer and the map Haven are both from Halo 4, so this wasn't actually a recording of a real XB1 newsfeed and was most-likely something computer generated (or maybe Infinity Slayer and Haven will be making a return...?). But, but but but... we now know Halo 5 is actually going to be a game released on the Xbox One! Whether or not it will be the next one (which has been known as Halo for Xbox One up until now) is still unknown, however. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess Halo 5 IS what "Halo for Xbox One" is. And I'm also going to guess "Halo for Xbox One" isn't actually going to be released in 2014, considering multiple sources point to Halo 2: Anniversary coming out on November 11th. What do you guys think? Am I a complete idiot or is Halo for Xbox One, which is currently listed for pre-order on the official Microsoft store, actually going to be Halo 5?! Source: Kotaku
  8. Yeah, some other people were saying it looks a lot like Dead Rising but I'm hoping that's not the case... DR3 bored me to tears. I've never played TF2 but I've watched a lot of videos of it on Youtube and yeah, this does have a pretty similar color scheme. Hoping this game's something I can get into!
  9. Insomniac Games have officially released the first actual in-game footage of their highly anticipated new Xbox One-exclusive game Sunset Overdrive! The video showcases things like survival factions, the traversal system (the way you move around the map), in-game enemies, crazy weapons (like Captain Ahab, the Roman Candle gun, and TNTeddy), and the game's unique "Amps" system that gives the player unique abilities to kill enemies in all-new ways! Sunset Overdrive looks pretty insane, doesn't it? Any of my fellow Xbox One owners planning on picking up a copy of the game whenever it's released?!
  10. Only problem with all the double jump / wall running is it makes roof camping 10x easier :/
  11. Check out some new screenshots from the upcoming Titanfall map pack! http://343i.org/1uo

  12. Five screenshots from the upcoming Titanfall Expedition map pack, which consists of three new maps - Swampland, War Games, and Runoff - have made their way onto the web! The following photos are taken from the game's official Facebook page: Swampland War Games Runoff Swampland War Games In addition to revealing these screenshots, Respawn Entertainment has posted a full break-down of the new War Games map, which designer Jason McCord describes as, "one of our most wallrunning friendly maps with a fun visual hook and plenty of space for Titans to engage in large scale battles." Here are some more screenshots from that post, which can be read in its entirety on Respawn's official website: What do you guys think? I've been getting pretty bored of Titanfall lately and I think this map pack will get me back into the game a bit more! The Expedition DLC currently has a tentative May 2014 release date with a $9.99 price tag. Titanfall season passes are still on sale and cost $25.00 - buying one would save you $5, if you planned on buying all 3 DLC packs separately. Edit: so, I just realized the title is kind of inaccurate. There are way more than 5 screenshots in this post... eh, it happens, I guess!

  14. Hmm, I just now heard about it and I hadn't seen it on the Destiny page on Gamestop's site until earlier today... By 'local game store' to you mean Gamestop?
  15. According to an unlisted video recently posted on Gamestop's Youtube channel (see below), gamers who pre-order their copy of Destiny from one of their stores will get an exclusive in-game vehicle, the "Upgraded Red Sparrow." The upgraded vehicle is said to have "better acceleration, a higher top speed, and higher durability" than Destiny's standard Sparrow vehicle, in addition to having its own unique red paint job (red paint will reportedly become available to everyone on Jan 1st, 2015). If you haven't gotten your Destiny pre-order in yet, make sure to head over to Gamestop's website or go to your local GS to do so - http://www.gamestop.com/collection/destiny - all pre-orders come with a code to register for the game's beta. 16. Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been on here (super busy with college stuff) but I just found out a new DLC pack for Plants vs Zombies came out today on the Xbox One and, just like the last DLC that came out, it's 100% free to download!! The pack - called "Zomboss Down" - features one new Gardens & Graveyards map called "Cactus Canyon", eight new playable characters, three new consumable plants, and a bunch of other stuff. G&G zombie gameplay on Cactus Canyon G&G plant gameplay on Cactus Canyon A screenshot of the new Cactus Canyon map (gamerant.com) Another screenshot of Cactus Canyon (gamerant.com) Four new playable plant characters (gamesblog.it) Four new playable zombie characters (ign.com) Three new consumable plants - the Ice Peashooter, the Bamboo Shoot, and the Fire Peashooter (gamesblog.it) Well, that's all for now! Feel free to add me on the Xbox One if you wanna play some Plants vs. Zombies with me! I'll be playing it quite a bit now that this awesome new DLC is out
  17. Battlefield 4 makes pretty good use of the voice commands and I think it's pretty cool that you're able to say something like "need amo" or "thanks" and have your in-game character shout it out. I think Titanfall could have made good use of the commands as well... maybe something like being able to call in your titan by saying "call in titan." Don't know why they didn't implement that in the game but they could probably add in Kinect support in an update.
  18. I was just on last night! Add my skype (on my profile) and we'll play sometime.
  19. Already watched it the other day (I'm a sub) but I just left a like and comment for ya! Gonna add you on XB1 so we can play
  20. Bad news for anyone whose primary console is still the Xbox 360... Respawn Entertainment has announced the release date for the 360 version of Titanfall has been pushed back to April 8th (North America) / April 11th (Europe). Here's a snippet of the announcement that was posted on the official Titanfall website earlier today: Now, I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360 in development with Bluepoint Games. I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players. Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. --- Sorry, 360 players! Trust me, though... the game's worth the wait.
  21. Microsoft has just announced Mark Whitten, Chief Product Officer of Xbox, will be leaving the company to take up a role with wireless audio company Sonos. Here's their full statement: "Following the launch of Xbox One, the most successful launch in Xbox history, and the recent launch of "Titanfall," the most anticipated game of this generation, the Xbox team is sad to share today that Marc Whitten, Chief Product Officer of Xbox, will be leaving the team to become Chief Product Officer of Sonos. 22. Activision has just announced physical copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts on all platforms will be available for the low price of $39.99 at Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart, Target, and most other stores until Saturday, March 15th. This is good news for anyone who has been on the fence about whether or not they should give CoD: Ghosts a go! The game has been available on the XBL Marketplace for the discounted price for the past few days but you can't really return a digital copy of a game if you don't like it... Here's a useful page for finding out exactly where and how you can get your hands on Ghosts for $39.99: http://www.callofduty.com/ghosts/wheretobuy Source: http://www.justpushstart.com/2014/03/call-duty-ghosts-sale-39-99-everywhere-next-week/
  23. Activision has announced it will be releasing even more DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts this Tuesday, March 4th, only on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Here's what's going to be available for purchase (source: OneOfSwords.com)... The Makarov Legend Pack This pack lets you play as one of the most notorious villains in Call of Duty history – Vladimir Makarov – in Ghosts multiplayer. It also also gives you a special Makarov-themed Personalization Pack with a weapon camo, patch, reticle, playercard, and background. Like the Price Legend Pack before it, it's slated for a $3.99 price point. In addition to Makarov, there are other infamous Call of Duty villain characters available for multiplayer play, too. Each will cost $1.99: And some dude in a Hazmat suit, because why not?... Also, (this is probably the most surprising thing contained in this announcement) Activision will be releasing a handful of personalization packs for Black Ops II on Tuesday, March 4th. Here's what they're called and what they look like (source: CharlieIntel.com)... - Beast, which is “inspired by nature’s most lethal predators” - Dead Man’s Hand, influenced by Old West gunslingers and card players - Octane, which aims to please racing fans - Weaponized 115, based on the Treyarch’s epic Zombies experience, Origins
  24. Eh, not that surprising... Battlefield has always taken up a lot of save space (the pretty much weekly 2GB updates on the 360 were the main reason I sold Bad Company 2 and BF3) and, considering the fact that Titanfall's also being published by EA, I'm not too shocked.
  25. Your dad just might be right! If that's true, it makes sense... I think they're trying to be more competitive and, since the console's already $100 more than the PS4, it wouldn't make much sense to raise the price even more with a special edition. I'm sure this bundle will encourage a lot of people to go with the XB1 over the PS4! Titanfall IS gonna be one of the biggest titles of the year, after all.
