  1. I hear the player can even revert to the original graphics engine on the fly since the campaign is exactly the same
  2. nobody said the weapon was only available on Reach
  3. I know but that does not necessarily mean that the DMR does not exist in the short time between the fall of Reach and Halo 4. If they wanted to, 343 would make a way to integrate the DMR.
  4. I actually started playing when I was like 9 years old. I would go over to my friend's house and we would play all night! When I was maybe 12 I got an Xbox of my and Halo: Combat Evolved was my only game for the longest time. Since then I have been keeping up with getting the new Halo's as soon as I could, I even bought my 360 just so I could play Halo 3, my personal favorite Halo game so far. I have been happily working my way up the story line, one Halo at a time.
  5. Don't get me wrong -- I loved the DMR in Reach, but I think that the final answer will be Battle Rifle in order to retain an accurate as possible timeline, but let's not rule out the possibility of our new friend DMR from making an appearance. Just because Reach fell does not mean that the weapon does not exist. Remember that Reach fell shortly before the events of the original Halo games.
  6. I'd like to bet that 343 is going to stick with races from the books instead of making **** up, like Bungie did going into ODST.
  7. How will the winners be notified?
  8. the only thing different between the original Combat Evolved and Anniversary are the graphics and online multiplayer. Anniversary's campaign will be so impeccably similar to the original that you can actually switch to the original version in game and what you are doing will be no different. Cutscreens, voice overs, soundtrack -- all the same.
  9. In my opinion, the only things that hurt Reach were all of the armor abilities, except for sprint. I would hate to sound like I'm dissing on Halo but if there is anything other shooter developers got right, it was the ability to sprint in game. Other than that, I would be glad to see the armor abilities diminished. And to those thinking that CE: Anniversary will kill Halo -- don't buy it then. It was Combat Evolved that brought me into the world of gaming, so it is an important game to me too but if you think that simply rereleasing the game 10 years later kills the game, than you are insane. I can't wait to see how the Halo franchise pans out when anniversary and Halo 4 are released.
  10. Come on man don't hate on Reach because it lacked dual wieldable weapons. Sure I would have liked to see the pistols and various submachine guns in both hands but Reach still had amazing gameplay. Stuff like dual wielding energy swords is unnecessary because the weapon already kills instantly and its only kryptonite is the shotgun and gravity hammer. Suggesting that 2 hits kill with the sword would completely defeat the purpose of having the sword for it would just be as powerful as a standard melee strike. Just trust that Bungie made everything as good as possible and 343 will make it better.
