I completed Halo 2 Anniversary on legendary today after many hours, 1 broken control, and hundreds of deaths, am i rewarded for my troubles? No. The achievement said i haven't even complete a single mission on legendary. Can someone explain why?

I'd like a 3rd party controller, because the 1st party controller sucks. Microsoft knows how to make a great feeling controller, but they're fragile beyond belief. After month of average use, the right analog stick loosened a lot.
