Greg Bear's book halo Cryptum says that the flood came from one of the Magellanic Clouds. The Magellanic Clouds (large and small) are two satellite galaxies to our Milky Way. That being said, it is entirely possible that the flood could reappear, and I wouldn't mind seeing the Gravemind's digitally remastered face again... lol

Halo Anniversary is actually more of a pet project. I really don't think a halo 2 remake is gonna be made anytime soon. They are remaking CE on the side, and I believe Bungie didnt even want them to at first. If there is a halo 2 remake it probably won't be until after halo 4, 5, and 6, by which point it might have enough of a nostalgic feel for a large enough crowd to want it.

@Machinga, Cortana was a difficult level, but I thought the gravemind was the most clever of all the characters. I guess thats just me. @Emokitten32, zombies are awesome. zombies + aliens is a big part of why halo was so great!

Just curious, does anyone else miss that guy? If the flood have the possibility of returning in halo 4, then we could see him again.

All MJOLNIR suits are practically mechs. The Algolis mech would be way to powerful, and the cyclops... well it doesn't have any guns, so it would just be a bigger mongoose. Perhaps there could be new forerunner based vehicles?

Firefight is a must. The real question is will they add the flood? Also, gear of wars is stepping up there horde mode to make it the real deal. The next firefight must indeed be very creative and perhaps a bit more involved.

Yeah firefight was the saving grace of Odst. By the end of the campaign [at least the whole running around alone part[,the city just felt huge and dead. -

It would be great if this forum/site stay open to people who don't have xbox live! I've been playing halo since I was a kid with my Dad. 10 years later Im in college at a school with no online gaming. No online gamertag = no forums/fun stuffs on bungie.net [at least as far as I remember], so I've been a [digitally] silent fan for a long time now... And prizes sound great, but will they have a 343/halo touch? Perhaps an mp3 player with the Reach OST already on it, or a skin or something would be cool.
