  1. ....."the prophets heard the shuffling".....
  2. Believe there was a Marvel Comics Superhero that had a similar ability. He created a "Shock Wave" that had a concussive effect that not only affected the surrounding environment and created small fissures in the structure he hit. Like it better than Armor Lock, reeeeeeeeeeally have no like for AL.

  4. Headed out, later bro

  5. 94' Ford F 150 Off Road Short Bed Standard Cab. You can work out of, hunt with(deer, hogs and the ladies), recreate, go to beach in, just take a Sunday drive in and still get home safe to play some ever lovin' Halo!
  6. Dang it all...........I just stubbed my toe. Do you know how bad that hurts, huh, do yah?
  7. I don't know if I because I am "old school" or got turned off of the multiple armors in Reach because of the credit system. I still like the system from Halo 3. Here are my thoughts. 1) Make the armors harder to earn and achievable only from ranking up to a certain point, no bought by credits if that system continues in some form. 2) Have armors that are only achievable by finishing campaign on different difficulties and/or time frames. 3) Offer an armor type to only those who achieve tough medals, such as a 15, 20, 25 kill Perfections would garnish you the premium armor and multiple "Headshot Honcho" medals would unlock a sniper variant. 4) Once an armor is achieved use your credits for the attachments, modifications, and effects. I am not interested in putting a "war paint" om my armor, but a traditional military style camouflage that matches some of the environments might be rather cool. The idea of having armors harder to earn is based on a harder ranking system. I feel that you appreciate and feel more of a sense of accomplishment when the standards become tougher as you progress. I have a post called "Ranks you achieve during game play" that shows my thinking. I always want to hit whatever milestone was needed for the armor I wanted in Halo 3. Remember chasing down the original Recon armor? Reach offered so little challenge in this area that I quickly lost interest.
  8. I like the idea of being "in the helmet". Gives you a more tactile feel for the game. If it were third person they would have to deal with targeting issues. Imagine carrying the sniper with it's small reticle, think of how small it would be in third person. If made larger for no scoping, it would offer unfair advantage. It would also eliminate the chances of a crouched player having the ability or advantage of sneaking up on you, which I love to do.
  9. If you haven't seen this yet, here is what I know............. HBO: What's in the package for $40? One disc, or two? Are multiplayer and campaign separated like ODST, or are both on one disc, allowing switching in a lobby instead of swapping discs? The Reach DLC is not included - but are the original Reach multiplayer maps? If the only Halo game you owned was Halo: Anniversary, what could you play, exactly? 343i: This will be one retail disc, 39.99, everything launches out of one menu. It's kind of like a one-disc ODST - obviously it doesn't have the other DLC, because most people who buy this are going to have Reach already. It just has the 7 new maps - Reach's original multiplayer maps are not included. If you just have Reach, and you don't want to play this, we will make these available for separate purchase eventually. We're not saying how long 'eventually' is right now, but it's not an amount of time that will upset anyone. There will be a playlist for just these maps. Reach players will be able to directly play seamlessly in that playlist, and those maps will also be integrated into other playlists. We'll try and make a very central place to play just these maps, so there'll be a good population, but eventually they'll end up in all lists. We're going to do significant stuff with matchmaking playlists to make sure that these are respectful of original system link-type games. You know how there's a Classic playlist right now? Imagine that, but plus-plus, and some other stuff we can't talk about right now.
  10. Ahhhhh, so there is a chance I won't have to buy a copy after all, lol!
  11. I would like to see the BR, even if it is offered in an updated form. The M-16 started as the AR 15 and has progressed to what it is today and seems only natural. If there are forerunner weapons I would assume that there would be some similar style to a rifle, that will have to be seen.
  12. Had seen this before and was not sure what to make of it. The counter comment from Microsoft dispelled it. Possible it was just try to cover some actual accurate information that got in the wrong hands.......but who knows. I will wait for 343 Ind. or Microsoft themselves for real releases.
  13. Man I don't even play infection, but if this was the new "Infection" game type I would play it. There would not need to be that many different type of infected "looks" either. Maybe have a couple types, randomly generated, for the Spartan and if other species are playable they would each have theirs. "Not bad........I'm gonna keep my eye on you." Sam Kinison from Back to School
  14. Valentine what I take from your post is that if Armor Abilities are in that they would be a load out initially, like weapons choice, and held throughout the entire game. When you die you will respawn with the same initial load out. The weapons choice would not include the laser, rocket, missile pod etc. I believe the Jackal shield did fail if shot repeatedly. John you appear to like the AA's with some improvements and having the player carry night vision, or some type of standard equipment that would detect an invisible player, but maybe limit duration of use and maybe lessen other visual aspects. The sprint would be a constant and be able to be used in conjunction with the chosen AA. Braver seems to want to make use of items that have been included in the previous trilogy in on form or another, staying truer to the existing elements of CE, H2, and H3. At this point I like a little of each idea, of course Braver tends to fall more into my category of thinking. Consider this then: Lets say there are darkened areas in some match made maps that a helmet light, that could be switched or toggled to offer light or detect invisible players in any environment, with a limited charge that needs recharge time or could be used in short bursts. Maybe be comfortable with a compromise on the armor abilities, closer to Braver's idea. Since there would be a one time load out, as Valentine suggested, it could simply take place in an armory at the beginning of the match were your choice of weapons and ability would be a one time choice for the entire match. Have the traditional power weapons, such as sniper, rockets, laser, etc., placed at strategic points or mini armories on the map. Now I have read into and embellished you posts a little, but here is a question: What would be the standard pickup weapons on the map, given this compromise? Would it be that once ammunition is used from the original load out you were forced to either pick up ammo from the fallen or make your way to a mini armory?
