Sweaty we truly appreciate ideas such as this, thank you. We were planning on some type of event for playing the maps with the community and this idea of, if I could give it a name, "The Meet Your Maker Play Date" would be just the thing! Once the submission deadline has arrived and we have begun the final critiquing and judging of the maps, we will work with you and provide a complete series of maps from our accounts for a 'Global Community Play Date'. I will do my best to get as many of the judges and forgers who submitted maps, as well as the member of our affiliates to participate in this event. Our friends THFE, Ducain23 and HaloCustoms have been great partners in this event and helping to promote it, along with "Blueprint" at Bungie.net. We would not have had such a quality response from the forge community without them. Thanks Sweaty!

MAP SUBMISSION THREAD ONLY The staff from 343industries.org and THFE have come together to host a forge contest. "Meet Your Maker" Contest begins Saturday February 9th 2013 Final submissions cut off at 12:00AM EST March 9th 2013 "Wake up, it’s time to Forge" Map Submission Parameters The contest will have the following parameters -4 v 4 slayer map -compatible with Halo 4’s Infinity Slayer (including ordinance drops) -dynamic lighting must still be functioning -no significant frame rate issues -no modded content allowed -one map submission per person -multiple people can work on a single map -maps can have been made at any point Prizes for the contest -Top winning map maker will be featured on THFE’s and Ducain23’s YouTube channels and become a Showcase Map at 343 Industries Community Forum, meet the judges for a discussion of their map also broadcast via YouTube, receive a DLC code DLC 2 or DLC 3, and a signed poster of map art by Certain Affinity staff -The Two Follow Up winners will have their maps video reviewed by THFE and Ducain23, receive a judges review of their map and DLC 2 code. Welcome to the forums....hope we live up to your expectations. Surprised you have heard that much clatter on mics as it seems so few use them any more. lol

I am curious in that we never play just one game type on play dates, we play a wide range of them already. Slayer, BTB, FFA, Flood/Infection, Dominion, Swat, CTF, Clue and Mini Games are in the rotation of what we play in Halo4, Reach and Halo 3. We already mix things up. The numbers of players participating are typically what judge the game type being played.

adamj that is some down right serious journalism. I am amazed at the parallels you where able to draw from your research. I really think you have begun an intriguing look at the world of Destiny and it potential basis in world religion.

Actually not a bad first video and map walk through. Be sure to get active here in the community so you can hopefully find more forgers and maps for your channel.

A few of my fond memories of the site are talking with DocSpartanO07 while he was in Iraq and knowing his compound was coming under mortar attacks and he would come back afterwards and fill us in on life in combat while we kept him up to date about Halo. Getting onto the site one day and seeing Jester's name in orange and congratulating him on his promotion and then having others congratulate me, and at first, I had no idea why. Creating all sorts of stories about Twam being with the CIA, being Bill Gates son, him buying the International Space Station and putting shag carpet and disco balls throughout it for a party pad and about he and Egyptianghetto met on a covert, black ops mission in the Middle East. The countless hours of fun Jester and I had in PM's, on XBL and in the shout box. (Miss you in Orange my friend) Watching Donut use the shout box to direct his machinma with ShadowMagnum and other was sheer madness at times. The Halo 3 play date where Choot 'em put a magnet in VitaminPwn's armor so that nearly every sticky grenade I threw stuck to him. The many hours spent with Choot 'em, imakequilts, AztecAsshawk playing Halo 3 and Reach. The entire group from SURVIVOR Halo Style...you guys were great! There are an endless supply of good memories with a long list of members in the shout box, in threads and on play dates. I have laughed so much and so hard at times it hurt. Thanks to all who have given me so many good and heart felt memories. P.S. This is a shout to those who have drifted away, but are not forgotten. ElSilverado, eliteultra, HuskerFootball, Firen4, Itz Keefy, Machinga, AgentLofi, AztecAsshawk, just to name a few.
