Though I did not lock this thread, I will reopen it when I have gone through the posts and can add my own reply not only to the OP, but the other members posts as well. I have removed and may remove more posts that were either not on topic or not adding to the discussion as raised by the OP. For those of you who think that fans who are either upset with or unhappy with Halo 4 or the direction the franchise is going have no right to voice their opinion, that is your own mistake. I don't care if there are 100 threads like this as long as the are polite and well spoken OP's. This is their opinion to share. Get over it. You think we should only allow one or two threads the are positive about the game? Limit the voices of those who like the game......no. This thread will be unlocked later and monitored by me personally.

343 Industries and MS has signed on with Virgin to handle the professional gaming side of Halo. MLG has posted a story I will post in this thread later when I have time on the subject. Remember MLG, ie, Major League Gaming is an organization/company whose name became synonymous with the professional competitive side of Halo's gaming aspect. MLG even became the very playlist for the competitive players and featured maps used in the professional series. This may be renamed in the future due to the new arrival Virgin, that is yet to be seen.

I personally have moved this from the H 4 Match Making forum to here. This is a simple message to the makers of Halo and any response posts need only to speak to that fact and not take this thread off topic. Members of the community, be it they find one game over another to be their favorite, have every right to express their thoughts on Halo in this forum and this OP has done so in a polite and respectful manner. Any member that flames or antagonizes the OP or fellow members that post in this thread will meet with warning points. Thank you.

I wish more members of the 405th Infantry would post their works here. I fully support your community and have offered and will create a forum just for this type of creations from our community. Thanks for sharing.

I could not agree more. There is no valid argument for the removal of the betray system as an answer to players betraying others. It was the easiest and simplest way to deal with it and it is a fail.

If they do 1vs1's it should be for no skill or rank advancement. Simply playing for bragging rights and having the capture card rolling to post the whooping on YouTube! lol

Like I said, opinions aside, the facts need to be kept in mind. I simply stated the reality of what the community needs to see clearly if we are to continue to bond together. Ranking systems, story lines, etc are simply personal feeling or opinions. That is for another thread. This really has no bearing on the player numbers for Halo 4. Having those games online allows those who prefer them to play them.

Sales and players playing are two completely different things. Where the history of the franchise, the promise of a return to the core of what made Halo Halo by Frank himself and marketing led to phenomenal sales, financial success does not account for the low numbers of players online at any given time or unique gamer tags online in a week or month long period. Those numbers are low. We all appreciate the efforts made by 343 Industries, but we as a community need to be aware of the reality of things and do our best to support gaming in Halo 4 while being aware of reality.

Where Halo 2 was the best online game in my opinion, Halo 3 was by far the best for the community. As you stated it was more fun socially, players talked so much more there is simply no comparison to any other game. The call outs from randoms just met in pre game lobby, the "Hey...who's good with the sniper?" question or just the I call the AR comments were what made Halo 3 heads up above all other games. There really can not be a legitimate argument against it, unlees some 'fanboy' comes along of course! lol

I will answer this after verifying it with Twam. It actually depends on what you mean by how old. The date the site url was purchased, the date the initial forum creation was begun, the date the site opened for traffic or the actual entry of the very first member. Even that member list referred can be misleading.
