  2. Halo 3 bans are a little different to review, but I will take a look.
  3. This variation of Plateau Mountains has everything you are looking for in a Big Team map. It was my first BTB creation and has been the most played BTB map I have ever made. Set in Reach's highest playable terrain this map is so long from end to end, longer than Hemmorage, that you are hard pressed to snipe from it's furthest reaches. Featuring numerous structures, a double decker bridge with a three story mid section, trilling man cannons across an expansive gorge and a variety of vehicles, this well laid out map will offer you countless hours of BTB fun. This map supports Big Team Batttle, BTB CTF, BTB KOTH, BTB Assault and BTB Snipers. With well over a hundred games played on it, this is the first time I have made the map available for public download. 4. This map was created for a friend of mine who did not pick up on the game of Reach as quick as he would have liked , so to compensate he would use invisibility and camp with a shotgun or sword. It has a number of tight corridors as well as open areas. It can be played using an AR/Magnum or AR/DMR start and has a full compliment of UNSC weapons. It is a fully enclosed environment that provides a fast paced engagements in all areas. This map also reflects my disdain for forges mostly grey materials by offering a colorful interior that is well lit with numerous windows. This maps supports Team Slayer, FFA, CTF, One Flag, Assault, One Bomb, Neutral Assault, and KOTH. This is the first time I have offered this map for public download and is a must see for any player wanting quality, close quarter action and a departure from forges grey box. 5. This is an adaptation of Halo 3's Guardian created for some friends who missed playing Rockets on the original. The map is not intended to be a direct copy, but a modern take on one of the funnest and most enjoyed maps of Halo 3. The weapons are as close to the original as possible, most of the key elements have been recreated and the layout will be familiar as you move around. This map currently supports Team Slayer, FFA and KOTH. This is the first time I have offered it for public down load. This map has been enjoyed by all who have played it and I hope you enjoy it as well. 6. I was able to join last nights Custom Map Play Date with Spades and we had a blast! He is the host of a night for playing forged maps for players that participate in the Saturday night event. It is a great way to get immediate feed back on your map from fellow forgers. There was a wide array of experience between the forgers and players. He accepts players maps during the week for his review to see if they will support the requirements needed for the play date. All types of map are offered for play including Slayer, FFA, Infection, Race, Mini Games and occasionally Objective. The rules are very simple. Be polite, have a mic, no excessive yelling or begging for your map to be played and no party chats. Thanks again for the invite Spades and your willingness do give your time for your fellow forgers.
  7. The first winner of the 343 Forge Contests. KAC 361 created a truly unique map that played well for the required Team Slayer and FFA variants, had a stunning visual aspect and made use of so many different items available for the forger to use in Forge World. KAC 361's "Concave" "This is my submission entry for the Forge contest. The name of the map is Concave, it is located in the lagoon of Forge World. The map is best suited for 4v4 Tram Slayer or 8 player FFA. The map includes enough spawns to support 16 players for either game as well. It also supports, and is compatable with CTF, Oddball, KOTH, Headhunter, Stockpile and Juggernaught. There are plenty of spawn points included to help avoid any spawn killing. I originally conceived the idea for this map back in October, but only recently came back to it to construct it. In terms of design, it is a medium sized multilayer asymmetrical map. It features 4 levels, each with their own distinct layout. Making the map very jetpack friendly, while also providing ground units with plenty of options for climbing the levels. It's designed so that it takes an equal amount of time to drop down the map as it does to go up it. I ensured that each area has multiple entry ways and exit points to avoid any camping. Soft kill and safe zone boundaries are also in affect where they need to be. Ive also taken the time to add plenty of astethics to the map to help with visual coordination. Most of the power weapons are located at the base or mid structure of the map, in order to balance out the low/high ground disadvantages. Power weapons include a Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun and Concussion Rifle. As well as your usual assortment of DMR's, Needle Rifles and Needlers." There will also be some scheduled forging classes being offered by myself and others willing to help. Plus, we will soon be beginning our "community" forge map that will be forged by our community forgers with the creative input of our membership.
  9. Plenty of Halo Wars topics. Numerous answers to the companies producer and possible return in the top half of this forum.
  10. In regards to "sprinting", a Spartan runs faster than the average soldier, the "...sprinting across concrete......" is a statement to their "stealthy" movements. I have posted a number of actual quotes and direct comments by Frank O'Conner and the development team that state 343 Studios was there during the creation of the Reach engine. They are, therefore, capable of removing the AA portion of the Spartans abilities from what I have read. The only reason they were used for the HCEA match making was due to the overwhelming amount of work and financial burden of creating a whole new engine to support play on such a limited number of maps, as well as, offering a new "DLC" to Reach which adds life to the game. Remember too that they were already creating Halo 4, in it's infancy, to be played using the Reach, Halo 3 and Saber engines. There may continue to be a pick ups like the H3 Bubble Shield or Gravity Lift or power ups like Invisibility or Over Shield. It would not surprise me if a few more were added. I truly believe the days of the Armor abilities are over with Reach.
  11. Choot 'em I am happy to see your entrance into forging. I was more than happy to help. Until I see you in my scope........
  12. My statement was referring to the assassinations.
  13. Today is the last day to vote for the member created maps in the Forge Contest. Let's show these guys our support.

  14. Grim, sounds like Mayhem is willing to help. Just let him know how you have the footage stored and how you could transfer it to him. Remember guys, we allow no payment on this site for these services, so it needs to be done for the pleasure of doing it, ok?
  15. No one here knows for sure, but it is common sense that the BR or it's newest replacement will be in the game. The DMR is a weapon of the past. It makes no sense to have it show up in the future in an unrelated weapons time line.
  16. I assume you mean "Triple and over kills"? You auto spell seems to have gotten the better of you.
  17. Frank himself has said it has been played through. They have shown it to and allowed their marketing partners to play it as well. There is, as John mentioned, need to shake out some more bugs The MM is running as well. Here is a direct quote. "Obviously we’ve been working on the game in earnest for a long time, but it’s all starting to feel pretty real to me now. Campaign is playable from start to finish (not to be confused with complete or polished) and multiplayer has been running for a while. It’s amazing to see changes big and small have a dramatic effect on making the game smoother, more playable and more enjoyable in almost every session. Personally I have been traveling a fair amount in support of the impending year-long launch activity. Visiting with our partners and colleagues in Europe to talk (and walk) them through the game, the features, the U.S. marketing plans and the sheer scale of the project. We certainly surprised some folks with the ambition and concrete realization of where we’re at, but it was kind of cool to see genuine excitement and enthusiasm for the game. Our show and tell was pretty BIG, since the European partners (marketing, retail guys, etc.) need as much information as is available to make their plans and start building the path to launch abroad. So they went from knowing practically nothing about the game, to knowing practically everything about it. Which is a weird feeling when you expend so much effort and energy on security and secrecy. It’s amazing how much detail you need to go into. It’s not good enough to simply list off the changes and additions and improvements, you have to contextualize them. It’s been almost five years since Halo 3 and a LOT of stuff has happened between then and now: ODST, Reach, multiple map packs, loads of story and a whole swathe of technical and gameplay changes. Creating material to explain those changes, walking people through the game features – showing them a lot of this stuff in action, it’s fun, but it’s nerve-wracking. In a way it’s a preview of our public showings, where we get a feel for which changes, which additions, which refinements are going to get people excited. It’s also a chance to get a feel for which new features are complicated and how to distill the explanations to capture the essence of what we’re making. Training wheels, as it were, for showing you guys. Launching a game is a massive undertaking, with literally hundreds of people all over the world preparing and planning to make sure that every aspect, from the box art to the matchmaking, is executed flawlessly. And if it seems slow, ponderous, even, then remember that there’s a plan and a process, and that you’ll see Halo 4 soon enough. And we can’t wait to share it with you." Frank O'Connor This can be read in the "Halo 4 Facts and Rumors" thread and is also in the "News" in the top menu bar.
  18. Mayhem I am proud to see you reach this mark in your membership. You have done so with the qualities desired in members of the forum. You are a well liked, genuine and fun and have always been a member I have enjoyed talking with. Other than this post, lol, you don't feel the need to draw attention to yourself or your words and are content posting your thoughts and ideas in a positive manner. I respect that in you. Congratulations on becoming a "Dedicated Member", you have earned it.
  19. Hey destroyer. Appreciated the information, but Jester reported this and much more under "Halo Bulletin 15.02.12".
