  1. Xelpher, Welcome to the forums! You need to please post your Forge ideas either in the Reach forum or "Official Halo 4 Forge Thread". The clan information and invites go in the Clan Forum. Just click on the highlighted word and it will link you to the appropriate areas. Thank you. I will transfer thread to the Reach forum for now.
  2. Just got a message from Twinreaper: "I have a Halo 2 PC server running for 343i.org. Spread the word on the site. I will be updating to include viewable stats for those who play on the server in the coming months. Just my way of giving back, even if I am not there."
  3. We are off topic, but for a good reason. The filter applies only to certain words or inferences. The rest is left up to the Mods and the community to deal with.
  4. That's because you don't need to make those kinds of references to get your point across.
  5. The quit ban for the most part has a good foundation. For example, you say you like multi-team and probably have your favorite game types. How would you like it if every time your favorites came up 1 or 2 team mates quit every single time? I rarely play Reach alone and would never quit a game on a friend and have only left a game deliberately on a few rare occasions that required me to. I have won numerous matches short of a team mate and out of simple respect to the other team, I fight on, giving them my best fight. I find quitting a game because you don't like it or because others quit to be poor sportsmanship. I think you get why you are getting banned, so I don't really need to address the "why", but if there was no quit ban and few honorable players, the match making would end up a joke in the end with players only staying in games they choose to play. You can't have a hundred play lists to appease everybody, so you might as well play the few unwanted games on occasion rather than be continually banned.
  6. Player still do flock to Reach. The has been a TU (Title Update) that has addressed the bloom, Armor Lock and other components of the game that were adjustable. Depending on how long you have been away, the very competitive Squad Battle, a 5 vs 5 slayer variant, is a serious version of Team Slayer without AL. When you combine the HCEA play list to the current TU, there are plenty of new ways to enjoy the game.
  7. To The Director and Mayhem, I would rather eat the savory chicken like Jackal and 10 hots all in one sitting! WYR Play cards all night with a Zombie who constantly wants to bet for your brains or have dinner "with" Dr.Hannibal Lector?
  8. Andrew you have the basis for a good idea there I think. Give the players of the game, not just the active forum communities a voice. The voting of a play list in an "existing" versus a "TU" play list seems good on the surface. There would have to be a rather lengthy time for comparison due to players shifting from one to another play list, infrequent players coming on, etc. You know, as well as others, that when you offer something update wise and some players like it, then find it removed due to popularity issues, it creates another group of those who feel neglected. It is a hard decision for the developer, or in this case the games custodian, to make sometimes. You are right that the active "people in the forums" should not be the only voice because most players do not get involved in the forums. It can be used in some cases as a litmus of where the community as a whole stands, but the numbers in the forums and overall opinion currently do not reflect the community as a whole. Neither do you! Using terms like "Crappy TU Beta" and "no one that matters likes it" is only going to ruffle feathers, so find a better way to give example without the colorful remarks and you may find better discussion on your thoughts. Hopefully you will see this and do a "TU" for your "OP"! P.S. One more thing to consider is that the TU may be the shape of things to come in Halo 4. So, if you are one of the Reach faithful that said others needed to "adapt" to what Reach offered, you may want to consider "adapting" to what may be comming in Halo 4!
  9. Congrats on the milestone "Big"! You have to be one of the most needed to be met on Live members of the forum. You ever want to put the "Beat a Mod" award up on the line, I will turn the clock off next time! Cheers mate!
  10. No friend request has been denied to that account ever!
  11. Let me start by thanking all of those who showed up. That was by far the largest group yet for a community play date. There were times I laughed so hard I cried! It began with AgentLofi an I sitting alone at 8:00 am CST wondering who would show up and how long it would last. We had discussed the play list earlier in the week and decided on a fun set of custom maps, not realizing what members themselves had on hand for us to enjoy. Just as the two of us were about to head into a Team Doubles match to warm up, here came the members. The fun ensued. As we played the group continued to grow. We had a riot playing Bumper Trucks, a 3 lap race map that was insanely fun and some of the wildest and sensory overloading Infection game types I have ever seen, played or heard of. I have honestly never seen a flaming Wart Hog move so fast! Though the predominant top killing members, were AgentLofi, Biggles Brown and assorted others, I can honestly say that the kill count or K/D spread was the least of our concerns. It was just flat out fun! There were some fun and interesting member created invasion maps that I hope to see shared in the Map Room. The torch was passed from member to member to share some of their favorite custom maps and creations. Some of the games seemed to never end. When it came to playing in match making the teams were mostly balanced between the members, but there were some blow outs. Speaking of blow outs, if I remember correctly were DOMINATED in BTB against all who dare challenge us. I do not recall the exact number of total members, and a few of the members friends, that joined us through out the day, but we never once lacked a fun, talented and lethal group of killers. The games began right around 8:00 am CST and I finally had to take a break around 5:30 EST. Still not the longest play date, but it did rival the funnest one. Thanks to AgentLofi for stepping up and handling the games for us. This communitiy rocks!
  12. On of my favorite songs is: Peter Gabriel :
  13. Not true! My mothers bridge partner's grandson goes to school with a kid whose dad dated a girl in school that looked like Kiki Wolfkill and at a 30 yr. high school reunion recently she said her exhusband's son who works at K-Mart said it was being released on the 18th of November!
  14. Okay, the new member and I have had a PM discussion and I believe he was just showing off a copy that he is proud to own and has no intention of selling. Unlocked, and carry on.
  15. Go some where that can actually give you a value. This is a forum, not a sales site. Topic locked.

  18. Addendum looks pretty good from a distance, wouldn't mind playing on that one.
  19. My map the "Rock Museum" was is an example of a multilevel map in an enclosed environment that features USNC weapons, open as well as close and tight fighting areas and a variety of shooting lines for both the novice and experienced player to enjoy. The title says it all, it is a museum dedicated to the one none structural item in forge world, the rocks! They maps currently supports Team Slayer and FFA. Weapons on the map include all UNSC offerings plus the Covenant sticky grenade. All AA's are playable, but Jet Pack, Invisibility and Sprint are recommended. Here are a few screen shots of the map. The link for it is above and here again. Hope you enjoy it!
  20. For newer and less experienced forgers I have a few simple recommendations to help you get started with a map. 1) Set preferences to "offline" to limit distractions. 2) Turn off notifications to further limit distractions. 3) Make sure you have a good idea of what game type you are creating your map for. 4) Use the "Grid" tool for alignment, it will save you time later. 5) Initially place a respawn point on the map in case of accidental death while forging. It gets annoying flying as a monitor across Forge World. 6) Get the basic structure of the map in place before you too many individual components. The basic structure of the map is, to me, the most important feature to ensure a good design and playability. 7) As you place arbitrary features, revert to player mode to check shooting lines, jump height of components and aesthetic value, if a concern. This will hopefully lessen time in corrections later. 8 ) Save your map on occasion, especially before each new jump into different areas, and give the initial name then a 1, 2, 3, etc. for easier access to previous versions if you choose to follow a different forge design. (Example: Tilt 1, Tilt 2, Tilt 3, etc.) 9) Before you leave your forged map the first time, place a red and blue initial spawn point and remove the Forge World spawns in the cave. This way you will be sure to spawn in you map the next time you load it. Okay, these are a few beginner tips in forge that I hope will help.
  21. Since we now have a dedicated Forge Forum, I am going to lock this topic since all posters are familiar with that forum.
