Hey flyingson even though we are not 343ind, we are a fan forum, I do agree and would expect that there would be a return to the physics the Master Chief had in Halo 2 and Halo 3. There will be, if 343ind. stays true to their word, a return to what made Halo, to the core of the game. Frank O'Conner himself has said on numerous occasions that Halo 4 will feel like the Halos that preceded it. Bloom has been part of the games in varying degrees since the beginning, so I don't see that it would be completely removed.

You must be a fan of "fuzzy math". You state some 90,000 on Reach.......ummm out of the nearly 9,000,000 (that's nine million) players the bought the game only equals 0.01%. Those have roughly been the numbers for a long time. A 'majority of the population" has left the series, it would appear, because of Reach. The Halo population, fans or however you want to refer to them made their statement about Reach by not playing it, that was their vote. Just because the "current" numbers in the forums favor Reach, simply because these are mostly the fans of Reach, bears no actual relationship to how all fans really feel in spoken words. When a member of this, or any forum, makes statement about a love of prior games, wanting the "old feeling" back, previous ranking or weapons use or make any reference to the past games it does not mean we want to live in the past. It just means we want a game that resembles the qualities of what millions of us have fallen in love with while continuing to advance the experience. I respect the fact that people truly enjoy Reach, even if it is only 0.01% of the people that bought it. Remember also, that of that 0.01% there are those like me who still play it on occasion with the friends they have had since Halo 2 and Halo 3 days and enjoy the fellowship of those friends even while playing a game we really don't like. The future of the series is dependent on one of two things in my opinion. 343ind. has to either find a way to get the majority of the fan base back playing by offering a game that they can enjoy initially, and long term, with a quality campaign and a distinctive MM while appealing to new players of the game or they have have to find a new fan base that would include those who would play the game simply because it has a Halo logo on the box. Every single note worthy statement I have read indicates that they are attempting the first thought of getting back to Halo's roots. They will be exploring more of the Chief's personal feelings in campaign and the traits that make him what he is. They will be offering new MM experiences while still offering the previous feel for the game. They want a success, they want to make a game the fans can truly enjoy for a long time, they want us to be happy. I trust their efforts with blind faith based on the comments they have made. I trust the series in their hands.

Well.....we have our moments. lol I think you will find you will like it here. We a really friendly, a family if you will, and the fact is........343i looks at all the forums related to Halo. They have our hopes and dreams in their hands and I think they will give us something we can enjoy right off the bat as well as play for a long time and truly enjoy. They are devoting a lot of resources into doing just that and they want a winner, want us to enjoy what they are doing for us. They are fans themselves. By the way....."Welcome to the forums!".

I have not heard anything, but I will do some research and try to get an answer for you either way. I too would like to see some attention given to the game. It deserves it and would be a good idea anyways to get more people back into the MM and even replay the campaign to get into the that feeling again for the next game of the series.

You are wrong, period. I simply offered the entire series of words Cortana spoke, he only used what he wanted foe the contest. What he used is in the order that she spoke them. You added a word that was not part of the cypher any ways. If you have any further statements you can PM me with them.

No, in fact it is you who are wrong. He had very specific letters to be used for the cypher. The "complete" series of spoken words in the trailer by Cortana was posted by me after the contest and in the last post of the thread. That was part of the challenge, using only the cypher letters being offered, not what you thought it was! You Had to use the offered components. If it was to be the "complete" series of words spoken they would have been offered. The contest and winner are valid and confirmed. Here is the link to the complete series spoken by Cortana. Link The instructions were simple, and most respondents either added letters that were not part of the cypher or did not use them all, or realize they needed to listen harder or do as imakequilts and attempt to guess it out with multiple posts

I like the music, has that epic feel to it. It has a little more punch than the typical Halo track, but there were a few that did really pump you up. Thanks Braver for sharing this.

A winner has submitted the correct answer to the contest! It was TheDeadly! He has won a great prize package for his efforts! As a note, there were several members who assumed the first person that answered had the correct response and posted comments in the thread disqualifying themselves from the contest. Choot'em stated the contest would be ended as soon as the correct answer was offered and to only respond in the thread with answers. I will unlock all entries in the thread now. He had given a very good clue to go along with a simple cypher, even color coded it. He only used part of the whole spoken words of Cortana in the trailer. The entire Cortana narration began near the beginning of the video where the Chief's nerves began to fire on his synaptic pathways and this is the complete statement: "Master Chief........John.........Wake Up......I Need You.....Please......Wake Up John.....Chief......John!"
