There may be a thought that somewhere down the road there may be a follow up to the Reach story in a new game. There was a lot of potential for improvements. Most of what got complained about could be revisited in a new game that continues the campaign and addresses issues within the MM that were hard to fix with a TU. Reach does have a strong following in those who play it. Many more might return to it if the "Reach Series" if it was given an overhaul that would appeal to both camps. Who knows.........

Some type of off road bike would be a friggin blast! I think that 343ind. should get Orange County Choppers to build them a promo bike for the HCEA or Halo 4.

I hear what your saying. When I go back I take at least 5, but usually 10, friends and we have a blast. Most of us became friends years ago and Halo 3 play as a group is a blast. Even the ones who really like Reach have to admit that it can't touch the feeling and fun that H3 offers. I am so looking forward to HCEA and the maps it will bring to Reach. Hell, I may even get back into Reach....who knows!

Mystic I am really not attacking you, it just feels like you are always defending Reach or AA's in spite of how a member feels about them or tries to offer their reasons. Please forgive me if I come off a little gruff on the matter of Reach or AA's. I get the feeling that a lot of people will support the game or it's attributes thinking they are so how defending the franchise, when we are all here because we love the franchise.

Yeah there were some new looks at game play and characters.

I am a dedicated FPS player of the Halo franchise, but am willing to give it a try. Is it an expensive game and how hard is the learning curve if you have never played it?

Do you all have a web site or Facebook page for your group. I have a lot of friend that like to experiment with different game types and always are willing to try something new.

I am already starting to drool at the thought of playing those maps! (Wipes face) These maps will go a long way in rekindling interest in Reach and hopefully get the numbers back up. I know 343ind. is committed to Halo 4, but it would be nice to see the franchises lead game move up from it's current 5th or 6th place on the charts and show 343ind. we are still out here.

This is a great idea. A way to get players back into that old Halo mode to remind them of what was going on just before he went to "sleep". It would even be cool to host a campaign event that would offer some inducement for the highest score or fastest finish including completing all terminals and skulls along the way. I feel this is what is missing from the franchise currently. The need to keep the players engaged in fun events that include all online versions. Heck.....how about an H3 Griffball tourney, then a Reach Griffball tourney. something that unites the fans and shows that they still care about the past as well as the present.

Not familiar with "Connect". Is that PC based or what?

Spelling of a GT is very specific. Capital "I" and lower case "l" look the same as do others. "O" 's and "0" 's commonly miss read as are two "v" 's VV mistaken for a "W". Go back and read the GT and enter all possibilities. Send me a link to the game and I'll look at it, peaks my curiosity.

To add to what Twinreaper said, most people think that Bungie, and now 343, could easily fix core problems in the game with ease. It took me a while to understand that is was much more than "turning a knob here or pushing a button there". 343ind. is attempting to offer solutions to the problems and wants that have been the easiest to fix. Remember they did not create this game or system. They are also working on their own projects in Halo CEA and Halo 4. I have seen so many posts in the past about cheating, betraying and lag (or bad host) issues. There were corrections made by Bungie while they had it that may have made corrections today even harder to implement. Imagine it like this, I currently have 594 posts. Say I repeatedly misspelled a word in every single post and now have to take the time to go back and correct the spelling. That's a lot of work to locate and correct in every single post. Then after I finish I realize that the corrected word now changes the phrasing of a sentence, back to the changes. Then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,! I know it is a simplistic way to look at it, but it ain't easy. Hope that helps you to see the depth of the problems in "fixing" problems.

I agree with your post. I really loved the first three. When people say go back and play H3 or adapt, I. on the inside, tell them to "Piss Off"! On the outside I will usually have a respectful discussion about how neither answer is an answer. When a game is successful and it is changed to reflect features of another game that is gaining ground or has taken the lead, that is a fail in my opinion. Different types of people play, like and enjoy different types of games. Some play many different ones, I get that. I always felt let down when these series drifted into the direction it did. I will state here and now that if 343ind. does continue with Halo 4 where Halo 3 left off, they will have my devoted respect, money and praise. If they bring the game play style and abilities that exist in Reach, I will leave and never come back. I do not care how many current members are fans of Reach or AA's and out number us in this forum, you are a small percentage compared to the number of players who were lost in the past years. Sure, economics, other games, players moving on in their lives has been part of the loss, but Halo has to get back to it's roots or they will loose those of us who held on hoping for more and never get back the players who left because of a lack of interest in where the franchise was taken.

I will think about getting in on this, sounds like it could be fun. You need to edit the OP to include all the ideas, rules, etc. so we don't have to read through the thread.
