  1. You know your posts always get good and positive response, especially from me. I hope you continue to create them, this site needs good OP's.

  2. I'm White! lol Just wanted you to know I get a kick out of some of your comments. I don't like to antagonize people in here myself, but to some degree, it keeps it real.

  3. Appreciate the concise info. Clear and to the point. Thanks Braver.
  4. When you wake up with a puddle of drool on your chest, and open bottle of Mountain Dew beside you along with a half eaten piece of pizza. You re-enter match making out of reflex, take a bite of stale pizza and a swig of flat Mountain Dew and play on with the drool still on your chest!
  5. I sorely miss Arena Doubles. It never even had a sword, hammer, concussion rifle or the mostly useless focus rifle. It was sprint, jetpack and halogram. Simple, competitive and not for the casual player. Team Doubles is a sad replacement for it.
  6. I was happy at first. Relive the original with new graphics, yeah man! I became very disappointed when I realized that the MM part was to be on the Reach engine, and what that meant, but I got over it. I will buy it and support 343 ind.
  7. I like this guy! "I'm gonna keep my eye on you!"
  8. I really can not get behind this for one main reason. The credits system and buying of armors has to go. It was a failure and your topic proves it. You should earn your armor just as in previous Halo games. Period.
  9. I have always truly liked this idea and going to give it a bump since it has not been seen for a while.
  10. This has been clearly talked about in the "Forge Thread". When you read it through entirely you see it talked about in detail. I am not trying to spam my idea, but this is my post under the pinned topic: I would love to see improvements in forge and the incorporation of maps into the play lists. I do not want to see them become a DLC because of the obvious reasons. One being the producer of the game will make money on a map they did not create or pay for. Two, I feel the maps from the community should possibly have a playlist, say once a month and on a weekend, were player can go into matchmaking on them and vote on the map after a certain number of game have been played on it. Maybe it would be possible in this playlist to force single players into matchmaking there by making it easier for the system to place the players on the maps needed to vote. Once you have earned the status of voting on all maps you are released into group matchmaking status that allow groups to play together and select from a set number of maps. After it is determined by the those in charge of the game which maps are viable, voting weighing a notable part, drop them into a community forge playlist. As the votes for the maps continue by the community playing them, they could be incorporate into the regular play lists. It would help to ensure play ability of the maps and bring new maps into regular multiplay on a sustained basis. Third, the addition of wreckage and/or "inert" ships and vehicles that would give more texture and color to an environment would be a very nice touch. It may be possible as the game is being developed certain items from the campaign or multiplayer maps could be rendered for forge while they are in creation. Lastly, if does continue in Halo 4, it would be nice to be able to have a color pallet for the forge items, were applicable, and even the ability to make the shapes have a stone, wood, metal or natural finish. There are geometric shapes that can be added to give more range to the structure, maybe themselves having thickness and/or dimensional properties that are adjustable. The same could be applied to elements such as trees, waterfalls, and possibly a localized fog or steam. I realize that items that show movement are much trickier to implement, but who knows what is possible on a limited scale. Not much really needs to be added to forge to improve it. Since forge has become so widely used and incorporated into the game, I would be willing to pay extra for a "Special Edition" of the game that brought us more flexibility in forge world. If there is an effort to keep forge in mind while items and pieces of the game is being created, it may be there that more can be given to our beloved forge world. Giving us more may ultimately increase the life span of Halo 4 and keep the play lists fresh with new maps, which is always a plus. One additional thought. Possibly offer different environmental platforms such as an urban, jungle, mountainous, and areas similar to the actual campaign part of the game environment to build off of.
  11. If you are talking about the spams with links in them that have been a nuisance lately, I believe those are hard to stop until they get reported and seen. If you are referring to they "Any thought equals a post" threads, well, they have been here since the beginning. The was a fun atmosphere to see who could come up the the off topic crap. There appears to be enough topics to post in to get an idea out. I agree some seems foolish, but it gives an area for it to take place. There should not be a cap on OP's in my opinion, we can police the site ourselves but giving negative marks to posts and comments. Given time the administration and moderators are able to see trends with members and take action as needed.
  12. You make a valid point Agent. Remembering back when HCE then H2 hit, I can remember just about anyone I knew was playing or wanting the game. When I originally played the game with my nephews, who introduced me to it, you could see right away how unique it was. When online match making first occurred there really was nothing like it out there. There were times that I had played right through the whole day and into the wee hours of the morning. Now the online gaming is everywhere and for just about every game. Still though, the social nature between my friends, most of whom are close to my age, should not have changed that much. We are all still friends together, it is a big group, but some of that spark is gone until we get back into H3.
  13. It has been a long while since we used to come home, turn on the XBOX and play Halo 3 with our friends every night. When Reach hit and everyone switched over to play this new game, it was fun for a while. Checking out the new armors, mastering the AA's and figuring out the new weapons and how they worked. Eventually it seemed to boil down to chasing the proverbial credits. Endless challenges posted by Bungie to earn extra credits so you could rank up and by the new armors became the focus for so many players. Whether you liked the game or not, complained and kept playing, were pro or just plain sucked, you had an opinion about Reach. One thing that I have learned over time now is that many people who I have played with for years started having less fun, became less talkative during the game and became more focused on the game than the sheer pleasure of being with their friends. Halo 3 and Halo 2 (all complaints about the ranking system, true skill, cheating, etc, aside) were very social and fun. There were always going to be better players and we all knew it. Reach has lost a lot of the environment that produced that "old feeling", at least from all I can see. We can point at many reasons for it, if you agree with me, but something is definitely missing. Whatever had made the previous games so fun was missed in Reach. I know many of you love the game and won't or can't see what I am saying, but I know a lot of you can. I hope that as Halo 4 is developed the is a real effort to find what made 1, 2, and 3 so fun but was overlooked in Reach.
  14. If AA's are in Halo 4, the game will die. You will be a Spartan, not a simple human that needs them just to survive against the Covenant. Remember, they were used in the past, before the first Halo. If 343 ind. puts them in H4 it will be an epic fail.
  15. This is an easy response for me. Where there were some nice armors in Reach, sure, there was just way too many. The way you attained them I considered a joke because you bought them with credits. I really laugh at the credit system, it had no meaning. I liked it when you had to earn the armor you got. My hope is that this is the last time the credit system is seen in a Halo game.
  16. Since it will only exist with the DMR and weapons used in Reach, which means only games played on the Reach engine, might as well leave it. It makes no sense to remove it from the game at this point. Reach will die off quickly when Halo 4 hits the market anyways.
  17. To be honest I am having a hard time seeing this myself, but then again, I am not in the position you are. To me it would not be the same game, just find one that allows you to do what you are looking for. I apologize if I have missed the point.
  18. The DMR will only continue through HCEA. When H4 is released with will have the trusted BR back, or possibly an ungraded version of it. Having a recoiless weapon that exists so far into the future would be expected. Reach was a through back game to the past where it did exist. Goon, referring to those who id not care for "bloom" or Reach as "noobs" is not productive. Bloom is getting reduced via the update and may improve game play for all, we will see. Have not seen you before......so welcome to 343!
  19. Dear Santa, I have only one wish for Christmas this year. Please give me back the Halo that I miss. Master Chief continuing to smash, shoot and run over all obstacles. Leave the armor abilities with Noble Team, they needed them to survive, the Chief doesn't. Just please Santa give me......give us back that "ole Halo feel baby!" P.S. If you can see your way to getting me the Schwinn Cherry Bomb I will be extra good! I always wanted one. Add you Christmas wishes here for Halo 4.
  20. You drift off to sleep while playing the perfect game in your mind!
  21. Mine is still broken.....I filled out a repair work order weeks ago!
