  1. Sounds similar to this, I don't know if I because I am "old school" or got turned off of the multiple armors in Reach because of the credit system. I still like the system from Halo 3. Here are my thoughts. 1) Make the armors harder to earn and achievable only from ranking up to a certain point, not bought by credits if that system continues in some form. 2) Have armors that are only achievable by finishing campaign on different difficulties and/or time frames. 3) Offer an armor type to only those who achieve tough medals, such as a 15, 20, 25 kill Perfections would garnish you the premium armor and multiple "Headshot Honcho" medals would unlock a sniper variant. 4) Once an armor is achieved use your credits for the attachments, modifications, and effects. I am not interested in putting a "war paint" om my armor, but a traditional military style camouflage that matches some of the environments might be rather cool. The idea of having armors harder to earn is based on a harder ranking system. I feel that you appreciate and feel more of a sense of accomplishment when the standards become tougher as you progress. I have a post called "Ranks you achieve during game play" that shows my thinking. I always want to hit whatever milestone was needed for the armor I wanted in Halo 3. Remember chasing down the original Recon armor? Reach offered so little challenge in this area that I quickly lost interest. Was a post a few days ago.
  2. That is the reason for it. Thinking before you use them, cost/benefit analysis.
  3. I hope they are just over laying new graphics on the originals or recreating exact copies.
  4. Has there ever been actual indication of a Beta or is this just a hope?
  5. Exactly! When we played as the Chief, we were all the MC. In Reach all play a Noble 6.
  6. Brooney I'm with you. Was disappointed originally, then it sank in. Like Spectral said, they have a lot going on. I don't know if the original engine could handle what they are doing to the game anyways.
  7. If it is in, which I would hope, it should be off of the original map. Remember they are just laying graphics over the old game and I believe the maps from CE. I don't know this for a fact, but what I have gotten was an overlay on everything. If they are made anew, then this is a mute point.
  8. If there is already an OP on this, let me know. Let's keep things separate. We are being given Halo CE Anniversary as a gift from 343 Ind. The maps to be played in Reach are a gift and will be played with your current Noble 6 player. The Chief was never here, did not exist. I see some tend to think he will be playable. I would never want this and remember he is larger that the regular troop in full armor, similar size of an Elite in all prior games. Any opinions on this?
  9. I am assuming that these are going to be maps only available from the original CE since there are just basically ever laying new graphics. Mine would be Blood Gultch, Longest and Boarding Action. Since the AA's will be in affect these are maps that I feel have some fun potential and that I want to play again, not in the dreary forge world either.
  10. After that beautiful meal, Carter
  11. "Flag" to meet him, huh? lol
  12. Do you remember the first time you picked up the sniper rifle? I couldn't hit anything!
  13. Think you placed this in the wrong OP?
  14. I am heavily in favor of the system prior to Reach. You should earn what you get. If credits are still somehow part of the system, it should be a byproduct of the game. Chasing credits for specific goals will just encourage credit chasing, in my opinion. The match making play should be about winning being the ultimate goal. Personal achievements in a game like kills, sprees, and the like should be balanced for each game type. Team play, kills and assists weigh heavy, but are of less value than a team win. FFA would be geared different for the obvious reason and so on down the line. Team play should truly encourage team play, especially in the ranked format.
  15. I have to hear whats around me, I play in surround sound to help that. With an off option in settings or where ever, I'm cool with it.
  16. Good point. The facility that developed and created Spartans in is now long gone, so no new enhancements would be possible, unless........

    Halo 4

Remember there was a major rift taking place during the Halo 3 campaign with the Covenant. You are also right about the Flood being a temporary allie to save themselves. If there was this ideal that the Flood had a sense of self preservation, maybe the Forerunners will see this and....who knows. The Forerunners were not the enemy, remember. The rings were to eliminate the infestation of the Flood. If they are now willing, as of H3, to make alliances to survive, maybe this is the opening a truce to peace.

  19. Silent I am not harassing you in any way, I just want the official quote or source that backs this comment.
  20. In these forums I see a good number of people are starting to feel Sprint should be a Spartan attribute and it does make sense. He can jump higher than the average human and by that logic should be able to run faster. I think this is starting to gain some common liking in the forums.
  21. Simple, show me one statement, an actual quote, period.
