There are a lot of awesome RTS's out there. Post your favorite/s here, doesn't matter if it's new or old. My personal favorite is Rise of Nations. Great, great graphics for it's time, over a dozen civilizations to play as, each with unique units. Really a step above AoE/AoM and altogether a great and engaging game.

This is simply something that I feel could bring a lot more people into matchmaking and increase the matchmaking experience as a whole. If there were separate playlists for a set level of rank/skill to allow players to compete against similarly ranked/skilled players. It could be interpreted in 3 similar ways. 1) Rank (level) Separation. (Using reach ranks as examples) A Slayer playlist for Recruits to Warrant Officers, another for Captain to Lt. Colonel, etc. This would have the least amount of usefulness as rank doesn't tell much about a player's skill. 2) Skill (Trueskill/1-50 from H3) Playlists with 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc for skill or a similar 'trueskill' number to filter players based on the game's estimation of their skill. More useful than 1st. 3) Leaderboard (KDR/the skill factor on Waypoint, I forgot the name) to filter players based on a more elaborate system or just how many kills vs. deaths they have. I feel that either would be effective in equally sorting out players. I'd like to know what you guys think.

The mod's name is Venerance, not Vergence And I agree with Tallgeese, if they can get money out of it, they'll take it into consideration.

Firefight in general is a good way to consistently net large amounts of credits without all the frustration of multiplayer (unless you're really good at multiplayer, if so, stay there ) and Score Attack is definitely the best choice of the firefight options.

From what i've seen in videos so far, grenades are a bit more effective than they used to be (mostly because of a slightly shorter throw-to-detonation time) so maybe 343 is trying to limit the spam of a more powerful grenade. Just opinion, I could be wrong and grenades are exactly the same.

That has pretty much everything. I agree, quite a few of the helmets are just plain weird, but HazOp, still the ugliest dang helmet in Halo history. Blech.

I agree on some points. The whole camping on top of the cage in caged/uncaged was super-lame. But the new maps and 'ghost zombies' are just not fun at all. Do keep in mind though that this is a FAN forum, no 343 staff are represented here.

We've seen a few returning helmets and the new skins available from pre-order, other than that, not much news in the armor perm department.

Lots of interesting possibilities with the trait areas, you could in theory design a map with multiple diverse areas, each with it's own trait-set. Example: A large multi-tiered room in which you have a higher jump/movespeed, you walk through a door into a very tight maze in which you have no jump and a slower movespeed. Lame example, but I hope it gets the point across. I can imagine many people making obstacle cources and such with stuff like this.

The most likely solution to the problem is that they will simply disable PP in BTB, if that is what they wish. For all we know, it might not be a major unbalancer in the game and they could possibly leave it enabled for BTB. All depends on their point-of-view. -
While things like this do add 'extra customization' I feel that being able to customize each piece of armor individually will make your Spartan end up looking tacky and generally a colorful mess. I would rather have many armor customizations and zero color customizations than the opposite.

While 3rd person works fine for the most part, the option to turn on/off 'first person vehicle' and/or 'first person assassinations' would be a cool and simple little addition.

I have to agree with the others. The combo has been used extensively in the past and though it may be a bit more evident in H4, hey, you have eyes, ears and grenades. Use them.

I think it will be similar to Halo 3 in that it is good, but not in the actual gameplay. H4 MP looks much more fast-paced than H3 ever was. -

This video has a HUGE amount of new info about Halo 4, including spawn changes, ordinance drops in Infinity Slayer, the new ranking system, IS promethean vision overpowered? Also, he says that medal changes are 100% confirmed! Hope you guys like it

My questions are: 1) Why 3 hunters, hunters always come in two's 2) If the players are switching teams, 5 does not equal 3. That means some people would stay as grunts/hunters instead of switching, unless numbers were made to be equaled. In that scenario, the grunts wouldn't really have a chance, would they?

Elites in Halo 4 Customs and Forge?

I assume they will make an appearance in Custom Games and Forge, unless they have some silly excuse for not including them there, which would just anger the community more. -
Good question, I hope other Spartans make an appearance in both Singleplayer and Co-op Campaign.

Honestly, I could care less if there are AA's in H4, as long as there is no armor lock. Matchmaking isn't the core of Halo in the first place, you don't HAVE to play matchmaking in order to enjoy the game. Halo is about the Campaign and that should be the deciding factor whether it's a good game or not. Basing whether you will or will not purchase the game because of a system in matchmaking is to me, just plain silly.
