I'm pissed off that they removed BTB from the anniversary playlist (under 12 months), certain affinity did a great job with headlong and timberland, chances of being in a group of 16 that all have the maps is mighty unlikely I've had 2 games on both since they've removed A:BTB months ago. Majority Rules Idea for BTB & Objective DLC Games Given that match making now features a join mid-game feature... what would you guys think if they gave the option to play on dlc maps to everyone, and if it gets enough votes the users who didn't have the dlc maps would be kicked. I know it sounds harsh but if more people in the group want to play the maps why should the guys without the maps stop them. It would increase dlc sales by guys pissed at keep missing out on games, plus there'd be less of a scramble for weapon/vehicle spawns when less people joined at the start of a BTB game (hopefully more would join within a few minutes of starting).

The steel case is more white, than the silver and embossed promo pictures, the outer numbered box is neat though. The actual Contents look slim only one schematic it mentioned having an infinity ship one but guess thats just that page in the tiny tiny booklet. Guess we at least get the map packs and heard we are now getting the 2 helmet skins and emblem of the retail map pass. To sum up I think Halo deserves something a little more special than this release, I'm sure 343i have put their hearts and souls into 4 (from what I've seen at least). I just hope for any future game releases they put out, be it Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 5 or maybe even Halo 4:ODST I hope they put more thought and contents into their special editions.

Is that true ? how do people get the FOTUS now then, I've just seen an unboxing of the console. It looks much better than the promo pictures because the silver including the halo 4 title on both the 360 and the pads really catches the light.

Bro its possible to use a US XBL account to buy games at their prices, sure that requires HD space but its gotta be cheaper than your countries inflated retail game costs. Halo 4 comes with a '$25 coupon for your next Microsoft Store online purchase' as well, meaning you could treat yourself to the map dlc pass for free, or maybe put it towards a years worth of gold. Every now and again a countries offer free games, I've created US, Taiwanese and Japanese dummy accounts in the past to download these freebie games. Only thing I've been unhappy with country wise with Halo 4 was not all the pre-orders are available in every country, I'd have really liked the forest skin but no retailer here in the UK carried it, least none I could see.

But no saying a 2nd or further season of Spartan Ops wouldn't be a paid per play release. I've personally no issues with buying a years worth of XBL even though I basically just play halo on xbox now. I play far more Playstation these days and think their PS+ is a much better value for money system than xbox's gold.

Yeah getting rage killed because you got to the sniper, rocket launcher or vehicle 1st is one of halos biggest problems. Its always some goon who doesn't even understand how to use the item as well. A dude kept blowing me up while driving an hog during a game of ff, I wanted to improve my wheelman commendations. 3 times he'd done it and I never got a chance to kick his ass. I never kick players who genuinely make a mistake like throw a grenade your way or something.

hehe yeah thats one hell of a tricky level, especially on legendary. But I love that feeling you get when you do eventually succeed against them. Its a real toss-up which is hardest Library from CE or Cortana from 3.

Over at the 360a community forum theres a thread about gamestop having the LE back in stock to order and one of the members says this Sure hes just one store manager but its pretty obvious people are cancelling their pre-orders in massive numbers, its also back on sale in the UK via Amazon and Game (was sold out not so long back on both). Don't get me wrong I really want the game to be a success as much as 343i and M$ want it to be. But its poor marketing telling people they'd be getting items they no longer will be, or not in a psychical format like FUD on on a disc.

I totally agree, I felt exactly the same when I seen all three maps, ravines got the pre-built forerunner tower, erosions got the circular base and impact as the space station, it does seem like they are just unfinished map ideas more than totally blank spaces. The forge map they'd showed briefly in impact looked mighty impressive though, I'm sure forgers will do like they always do and come up with inventive uses for the areas, even if they do look a little lacking in space. I still think more maps will be created on ravine than the other 2 just because its brighter and I've heard the height is massive so can always build upwards.

its not so much a world this time, its cut into 3 separate environments. Some people are a little concerned at the lack of floor space, the final revealed one hardly has any flooring other than the grifball court. I think the forge map they made on Impact looked truly mind blowing, if 343i or Certain Affinity (not sure who created it) can make that, then no reason we won't be seeing some near retail quality looking maps surface.

I'm going to try to build a MANTIS stomping variant. Maybe some kinda 1v1 MANTIS assault course you've got to tread through lines of ghosts and mongooses to reach the end before the other player does. GooseyGhostStomp is going to be the future of forge & horse.

The UNSC set looks good, especially the map they pre-made using it. They never showed us the Erosion pieces during the recently map tour, could hold some interesting things. I want more destructible objects like they showed the crates in ravine. It'd be awesome to go on a marathon stomping frenzy in the Mantis breaking items to score. On a side note about cosmetic items, I recently ran through the reach campaign again and they held so many items back like the cb radios and even wheelchairs. I'd like to see at least a few interesting cosmetic items not just a deck chair like forgeworld had.

Thats kind of the sad point, they do look to have nailed the game itself. Which makes it even more of a shame they're palming us off with such a lackluster feature light LE.

Yeah you save 16$ by buying SE + the retail pass separate. That 16$ is ironically the cost of FUD on disc what LE buyers actually thought we were getting.

I sort of know what you mean, its nice to have those little extras I love flicking through halsey's journal from REACH LE every once in a while. But a few mock schematic prints are hardly grounds for cheer as being the only exclusive contents. And if you have to put a value on the extras it doesn't warrant the 16$ extra cost over buying the SE + retail map pass separate. Hell that 16$ could have bought me FUD on disc like LE buyers thought we were getting. As for the Halo LE going up in value as a collectors item, I highly doubt that who in the their right mind would buy it after the codes are long since used, The only real content in the pack is the game disc and maps pass.

Wish a chain did what gamestop have done in the UK, all I get is one pre-order skin and emblem from amazon. And as far as I made out nobody offered the awesome looking Forest skin over here (which kinda sucked, nothing like freedom of choice).

Hell yeah totally agree, looks like they're really showing the love for BTB, CTF and more bigger objective game modes in 4. Exile & Complex look heaps of fun. Oddly Haven seems to me the dullest of the lot, 4x4 in a circular almost Zealot style. The forerunner setting looks to offer nothing visually new. My opinions on the maps could change of course after playing on them a little.

I kind of agree with this statement, plus sometimes limitations bring out the best in people. I know the THFE guys mentioned the height of ravine was mighty impressive even if the actual land area was a little on the small side. 3 totally different environments for me seem better than just one massive set of grass and water.

If it was just the helmet everyone would agree with you, but its the original mentioned skin the original advertised early unlocks to specializations and its the deceptively marketed FUD being streamed and not featured on a dvd. Sure the packaging is much nicer but it would have been nice to have a few exclusive contents (or any contents even) other than just a pretty tin case.
