I don't know if I'd go as far as saying they ruined it, but they came close. I'm definitely disappointed with the campaign storyline and ending. So many plot holes. The chief is supposed to be the main character of Halo. So why is 80% of the game Locke and his band of Spartan wannabes? I hated that they made him (master chief) almost feel like a cameo.
