Thanks AD!! Feels kinda good to finally complete it. It is addicting like you all say!! I know it may need some work but I'm proud of it and hope it is as enjoyable to play as it was to create. *Playable Update* "Unabridged" Description: Unabridged is a small to medium map spanning the locations of Alaska, Canyon, and Montana areas of Forge World. Set up to support all Slayer gametypes. Only UNSC weapons available. Possibly CTF and Assault. Red Base located in Montana. Blue Base at Alaska. Both bases feature a stationary Gauss Turret and Sniper Tower with an entrance to both bridges. Main bridge - spans across Canyon from Alaska to Montana. Two lane with divider and cover throughout. Grenade launcher located behind cover at each end along with health stations. DMR, Magnum, and AR spawns over bridge. Secondary bridge spanning across Canyon with shotgun, magnum, and AR spawns. Ramp and platform leads to man cannon and Rocket Launcher. My favorite is the advertisement of 343i.org at the initial loadout screen. Yes, very good idea, especially for noobs to forge like me. Didn't know the specific commands for each button. Didn't mean to AD, LMAO!! I have gotten alot better though, lol!

I did play on this map AD and had a blast!!! Very nice approach to Guardian!! Thanks for putting it up for download!!

Thanks for the advice Spades! I have no intentions of forging for "downloads" as you put it. I have always admired those that could create a map with forge. I never had the desire to forge but was inspired after playing on the contest maps. I don't expect the map to play that well, after all, it's my first attempt but it should be decent. I added a few "surprise" touches to the map. I've always been open to criticism and look forward learning more. Glad to know others are willing to offer their input as well. Thanks Spades!! Map update! Still needs work but close to being playable! added color to forge pieces initial spawns and respawns UNSC weapons with appropriate clip count & number available tested with AA's to determine kill zones -
Well I finally created my very first forge map! It's not complete yet as far as spawns, weapons, kill zones, etc. but structurally it's finished! I really enjoyed forging once I understood the controls and forge pieces and how they react to certain commands. I would like to personally thank Absolute Dog for all of the advice given and patience with me! I named it "Unabridged" because of the included bridges. It was either that or "Bridge over troubled waters" lmao!! Hope you enjoy! I will update as soon as I get everything added. Thanks again AD for the advice and tips!!

:wallbash: ARRGHHH!! Forge is frustrating! Okay....attempted the "snap" feature after a very thorough walkthrough by AD and an issue continually pops up. Started out simple with 5 x 5 blocks for a floor (just to try the snap-lock on my own). The problem that I continue to have is that when I get the two tiles in close proximity, it either snap-locks too high or too low. So I still find myself making fine-tune adjustments which lead to another hour of frustration (gave up and played anniversary snipers, lol. I hate playing snipers) This really does work. AD's explanation..."Hold down left thumb-stick until you feel it click. Feel that? That is a 'gear'." The gear feature ROCKS!! AD found out qucikly how much of a "Noob" in Forge I really am and Quilts found it rather amusing as well, lmao!!

I have only briefly used forge also Jester but, just like you, playing on the maps has inspired me to give it a go. I have attempted forge only a handfull of times all ending with disgust and frustation, lol. My idea for a map is rather similar to the way you are thinking. (map over and in water) I did make an attempt at it this morning but after an hour, all I could get were 4 floor tile placements and a continually exploding Gauss Hog, lmao! Help is needed here also, lol! ANY advice would be appreciated! Collaborating efforts maybe??

:epic facepalm: You and me (whoever wrote this article), we're definately on the same page. "IF" this supposed leaked information turns out to be what Halo 4 will be like as far as multiplayer (weapons attachments, vehicle cusomizations, and other customizable options to "Dynamically tailor their weapons and vehicles to suit any situations or enemies"), I will be highly disappointed. I'm not saying that I will not purchase or play or give Halo 4 a chance but I do not want to see Halo turn into another Modern Warfare or Battlefield. I'm actually looking forward to continuing the campaign/story. If it does then just like you (whoever wrote this article), I will stick to Halo 3 (as far as multiplayer). I sure do hope this is just "rumor".

I will begin with campaign and update my thoughts on multiplayer at a later date. Enjoy!! Campaign 1) Predict the story line of the Campaign. - There will be two aspects of the campaign - main story arc and side story. Main story arc - The Campaign story will be Master Chief and Cortana's battle against time to find the remaining Halo rings and deactivate them to prevent the total destruction of the universe. Having landed on the shield world, Chief and Cortana will discover information regarding the rings' locations and also discover that they are not alone in the search to find the rings. Faber (Forerunner Warrior-Servant), Gravemind and the Flood, and the 'Timeless One' (last remaining Precursor) will all be searching for the Halo installations with their own purpose of use. Side story - Cortana's state of rampancy. Cortana's condition is growing increasingly dangerous having being subjected to so much Forerunner information. However, they will discover that within this information is the "blueprints" of the Forerunner monitors and their ability to postpone rampancy by 100's of thousands of years. This will be the key to Cortana's continued survival. I believe her main AI personality will be installed into a terminated montior's shell while a clone AI will be used in Chief's armor. 2) Predict the enemy, or enemies that you will encounter. Enemies will change throughout the campaign as new information is discovered by the characters. Original Gravemind from the Forerunner/Human war. (The first evolved Gravemind after the humans discovered the "dust" that was later to become the Flood. Faber and a few of his warrior servants. (The human-like chacter with telepathic abilities in the first leaked video. As we know, Forerunners are similar in build and size as humans with a few aesthetic differences.) Timeless One (Precursor that escaped inprisonment on Charum Hakkor) 3) Predict the human and/or non human friendlies, if any, you think will either fight along side the Master Chief. As with enemies, Allies will also change as the story progresses but a few will remain the same. Humans (of course) - Cortana's distress beacon will be heard by human forces (particularly ONI and the UNSC) They will come to aid Chief and Cortana on the Forerunner shield world. Main chacters will include Dr. Halsey, Spartan II's and IV's, AI "BB", Osman, and Devereaux. Sangheili - Arbiter and 'Telcam, Elites will be in a state of civil war but will be unified by the Arbiter. San 'Shyuum - a few of the younger generation that will become prophets. Mendicant Bias - shards of his remains still scattered throughout the galaxy. His insight of the Flood and Forerunners will contribute to Cortana's process of longevity. Flood forces - after a reveal of the true threat to the galaxy, the Flood will join in the fight after the defeat of the Gravemind and Cortana's discovery of how to control them. 4) Predict Cortana's type of break down and whether or not she survives. Cortana's breakdown will begin mild at first, but will continue to clone herself to postpone the rampancy until she is "uploaded" into a terminated monitor's shell. 5) Predict the outcome of the Halo 4 Campaign. The Halo 4 campaign will be longer than previous Halo's with 343i's attempt to connect the player with the emotions of Master Chief and Cortana. It will end in a battle with Faber (determined to activate the Halos) who narrowly escapes Chief on one of the remaining Halo installations or the highly damaged 'Ark', This battle will also reveal the 'Timeless One' as the "True" threat with his purpose and plans for the installations being more twisted by wanting to bring back the dead Precursors, using the Halos as a method of resurrecting those Precursors.

Though I was unable to attend, I did manage to get a taste of the "Roller Coaster" map and a few others and I must say they were pretty fun. Sounds like BTB was awesome! Glad to see the playdate finally gaining ground! Wish I could have been there! Thank you AD and Agent for continuing in my absence! I will keep my eyes peeled for the next one!
