Weapons are placed in the world of Destiny for you to find while exploring the unknown areas of Earth and other planets. Some will be common while others are what Bungie is calling "exotic". In a previous story, I brought you "Red_Death", an exotic assault rifle with unrelenting power and a paint scheme to match it's name. The next exotic weapon revealed and explored by Bungie is what they are calling "Gjallarhorn". This exotic rocket launcher has been seen in action during the PS4 E3 reveal and in Destiny's most recent Vidoc "Out Here In The Wild". Bungie's Art Lead Tom Doyle explains, “This is Hulk Hogan’s belt in weaponized form. This is the gilded weapon of a City Champion. It’s a very decorated Guardian weapon to say the least. Feared and revered, with no attempt to be stealthy, it loudly announces its presence with a howl.” Concept: Adrian Majkrzak 3D Model: Mark Van Haitsma “The initial block model for Gjallarhorn was cool looking, but it was missing some detail that would make it shine in first person view. Mark just kept adding a wolf every day that he was working on the high resolution model.” “This Rocket launcher has the highest WPG count of any Bungie weapon ever. WPG, of course, is the ‘Wolves Per Gun’ statistic. I thought this concept said a lot about the world we are making, mainly the mythic elements of its fiction.” Gjallarhorn will be "buried silently in the rubble" awaiting it's next 'Master of Arms' to wield it. Will your senses be acute enough to locate it and if you do, will you have the strength "to tame it"??

1.784 ? Perhaps January 7, 1984 (1/7/84)? A birthday of family member/his own? Important events on 1/7/1984 >>> http://www.dayinhistory.net/?m=January&d=7&y=1984&go=Go The number is completely ridiculous and made me lol! BUT... if he wins ANY amount due to "poor customer service", think of all of the lawsuits that will come from this and how many companies will go bankrupt. Absurd... completely absurd.

I would like to see a mix of both. 343 could have easily added the three islands to Forge World's high percentage of water. However, the lighting on Ravine seems more appealing (imo). ALL objects available from every canvas.

I enjoyed Halo 3's multiplayer the most but played more of Reach's multiplayer. Beginning to show favoritism towards H4 forge and customs. Campaign is a toss-up between H3/CEA (not CE, prefer the updated graphics). Spartan Ops over Firefight. I guess you could say I don't have ONE favorite but enjoy certain aspects or features from each.

Halo 4 Reclaimer Map Pack (Vitality, Fracture, and Diocese)
Choot 'em replied to Mike Foster's topic in Competitive Maps
Congrats on getting all three maps completed Mike! I admire Vitality and Fracture but, like Omega, I feel more drawn in by the originality and aesthetics of Diocese. Have downloaded for a test run. -
Halo 4 5 Floors (Themed Remake)
Choot 'em replied to Cesar R. Lebron III's topic in Flood/Infection Maps
Located link, added to OP, and fixed images. The only Infection gametype I could find in his fileshare was one named Power Company >>> http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo4/fileshare/details/0e15068e-7c8a-4268-a18d-78f19a9499f1. Hope this helps -
"Red Death" & Fallen Statue at Gamescom
Choot 'em replied to Choot 'em's topic in General Discussion
Gotta love them bloody bayonets lol! Primitive but effective. If you look closely at the last image you can see spikes protruding from the sides. Pretty wicked detail. -
"Red Death" & Fallen Statue at Gamescom
Choot 'em replied to Choot 'em's topic in General Discussion
Retro Lancer... The only similarity I see is the bayonet or the fact that it has one lol. I'm interested in how the "mod and paint" feature will work. I'm assuming there will be a shop to perform these upgrades. -
Has been covered here >>> http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/30750-xbox-one-will-function-without-kinect/

While scouring the internet for new information on Destiny, I came across a few articles that just might be of interest to you Destiny fans. The first is another few pieces of concept art revolving around an "exotic weapon" that players can find while submersing themselves in the game. It touches on the ability to "mod and repaint" weapons in-game. The weapon is described by Bungie Art Lead, Tom Doyle as ... "This is our 'heavy metal' gun." Tom also describes the weapon as... “A savage, bandit weapon. It provides a look into the world outside the City. This new frontier is harsh and, at times, cruel,” Tom observes. “This is a weapon that was taken from a fallen Guardian. The new owner had it repainted and modded - the optics were even hacked with new graphics.” image courtesy of Bungie.net Concept: Frank Capezzuto and Tom Doyle 3D Model: Matt Lichy According to DJ at Bungie.net... "The Red Death isn’t a rifle that will be wielded by everyone. This bloody piece of iron will not be given, it will be found. Exotics are the legendary weapons of yesterday, hand-crafted by our ancestors and left strewn about the system. Scoring one on a mission of utmost importance marks the end of one tale for this implement of destruction, and the beginning of another. Like every element of our game, this weapon of old tells a story about the world that created it." Please note that all images are "works in progress" and subject to change. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Destiny at Gamescom "Making of the Fallen Captain statue http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hGnPeDVihu0 Many Gamescon attendees will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with this behemoth. I look forward to more exciting news and updates by Bungie!

Destiny Ideas: Collector's Editions and Console Editions!
Choot 'em replied to VinWarrior's topic in General Discussion
I love the ideas, well thought-out and organized. I can tell you put some time in the post. I wonder why a console bundle has not been created with the high end collector edition game and all included content available? They always add the standard edition lol. Personally, I don't plan on purchasing a limited edition game. Standard edition will suffice. -
Really is a nice looking map. I admire the detail in the "pitstop" area. Have you noticed that the mongoose's have mud on the tires but it's a paved course? Will download and give it a test drive, lol!

Samsung 40" LCD, 1080p, 120 hz refresh rate. The smaller screens strain my eyes, lol.

The One Expected Legend - New Legendary Member
Choot 'em replied to Absolute Dog's topic in Announcements
I can't think of a more deserving member to be promoted to Legendary! A member that ALWAYS went above and beyond what was expected, helpful to all members both new and old, and someone who could sit back and look at a situation from a different perspective to be sure it was understood and handled properly. It is an honor to know you Total Mayh3m... an honor to have worked with you... an honor having you on my friends list! Your legacy will always live on at 343iCF! Congratulations and I wish you the best of luck with the next step in your journey! - Choot- 26 replies

Very solid advice Mayh3m! Another pitch to consider is price. If the expense isn"t an issue then choose for exclusives. or consider two less games for the Xbox One. Thanks Mayh3m!

So you get together as a group, hash out ideas (while in Forge), then begin forging the project? Are "zones" assigned to participants forging? Sorry for asking a ton of questions but want to be sure of the details! I am interested, lol!
-
I like the idea but trying to figure out how this works. Do I submit a map that I created and then the community makes changes to it or will the set of maps be co-forged?
-
A very nice creation Zandril! Tunnel area is a nice touch (experimenting with them myself on MYM Dominion) that appears to add a new approach to the bases and new level of gameplay. I will definitely give it a dl! Was this map tested at TNT yesterday? Wanted to join but lobby time wasn't ideal for me, lol!

A MoM post as unique as the MoM himself! You always keep it real Slik!

Congratulations MoM!! Wear the color with pride! Another well-deserved member that's been a long time coming! Keep up the good work bud!
