  1. I don't think Tom Salta was as involved in the game as Marty O'Donnel was, so I wouldn't blame the composer but the designers and editors
  2. Recently I went through and played Halo CE again. I wanted to see if my thoughts of Halo CE would be different now than it was when I was younger, the last time I went through the whole campaign was when I was 13 I think (20 now). When I was a child I felt this game was amazing, the story was great, the flood was scary and awesome, and such. I didn't really pay attention to the music, or even the story(I thought the story was just fighting aliens, and I thought chief was a robot) Have my opinions changed? Yes, in someways. This time I played with all my focus and attention. I paying attention to story, music, level design, weapons, and what it felt like to fight the enemy. So here are my thoughts on different aspects. Story: is pretty shallow, but it does what it needs to do. My only gripe was that certain things didn't make since, I didn't really have questions about the Halo ring, but more about the Marines, and why they did stuff. Music: Is great, and blends well with what is going on, it can even seem as if it is fading into the background, which is probably why I didn't notice it much as a kid. (Side not: I felt they used music at times to make up for a shallow story, because it seemed really loud during dialog) Weapons: Bungie made each weapon have a unique purpose and experience while using it. They accomplished this really well. Every weapon feels very different, this is an aspect that wasn't paid attention to much in later games, now we have 8 of the same weapon with for different factions. Levels: the first half of the game feels good. Some are very large, and can be explored, some are smaller, but feels good for the gameplay. Silent cartographer is, to me, the level that has all of Halo best level design. Assault on control room(without the flood) is kinda bipolar, it has a lot of repeating small rooms, and bridges which makes it not fun, but it gets better when the level opens up. Every mission after this isn't that good in terms of level design, because it has a lot of small quarters that are repeated quite a bit(library). Flood: K feel they were introduced in s great way. You understood that this was threat, but it was mysterious. It accomplished that. The story made them scary, and the gameplay did as well. They are scary in gameplay only because they are overly difficult, even on normal. They are highly accurate, and they are relentless is shooting you. There aren't many weapons good against them, and you can't melee them, which makes them an annoying opponent. They game makes you afraid of them, but only because they are too difficult to fight. This is good, because the game wanted you to be afraid, but it also wasn't that fun on higher difficulties, so their should have been a balance of it. The later half of the game is mostly fighting the flood, and so it wasn't as fun to me, and I a few times considered just stopping, but I didn't. So I still love the game, but I understand it isn't perfect. It has a lot of good ideas that were executed well, and other good ideas that weren't. Future games build on it and brought a lot of what made it good, dropped the bad, but also left behind certain things that made it great(I.e. unique purpose and experience of every weapon idea left behind.) I still love Halo: CE. This is all my opinion, and I understand and respect if you disagree, so what do you think about what I have said?
  3. You said everything to make it a complete and a good Halo, but part of what I'm talking is also making it top dog again, doing all of that will make it sell better than 5, but probably not better than other shooters like COD or Battlefield.
  4. What do you think can be done to put Halo on top again? What unique and new game design do you think can be done? Do you think Halo 6 can be the new cutting edge, and use the old style as well to appease the old Halo fans?
  5. Today I got Halo 5: Guardians. Today is the beginning of my journey to being a competitive Halo player.

  6. I just wanted to thank everyone here on this site. I have been here maybe a week, give or take, but I have been accepted and welcomed anyway. I stated talking in the chat box and people immediately started chatting and hanging out, I even consider you friends now, but some of you may not lol. When I first joined I was getting back into Halo, and you all made it more enjoyable so that I could have people to talk about my experience on Halo, even debate which is cool because it's all in good fun, some I may disagree with a lot, but I still consider you friends. I plan on remaining active, continuing our friendships, and even telling more people about this site. If anyone ever want to talk or play, hit me up, my gt is KSI Change 7 So I hope everyone has a great Christmas
  7. I just haven't been able to to play them, I plan to play Spartan Assault, but I don't have a PC to play Spartan Strike.
  8. I don't know much about the games besides the music, I only listened to the OST on youtube
  9. This soundtrack, composed by Tom Salta, is the most underrated in the series. This soundtrack is also the best sound track post reach. What Tom Salta does is respects the original trilogy's music, while using elements of the soundtracks in 4 and 5 as well, and it is really good. It is the most compelling sound track I have heard in Halo ever since 343i took up the Halo mantle. I am not saying the sound tracks in Halo 4 and 5 are bad, they are good, but I feel there should be a mix of the old from the Halo trilogy and the new. Tom Salta is a musical genius, who did well with the Halo SA and S soundtrack, and the soundtracks deserve much more praise. This is all my opinion, so what do you think?
  10. My favorite game gifts were Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, and Fallout 4 and Xbox One bundle.
  11. That's why I don't like clans, they see themselves as so high and might that if they are killed in a custom game they have to go to war. Stupid.
  12. Honesty, humility, kindness, caring, and must be willing to have deep conversations(since this is for actual friends and not just people I talk to once in awhile.
  13. I would take SW Revenge of the Sith Novelization, Andy Black's the Shadow Side, and Mac and cheese I'll do Truth I may not be doing this right
  14. Well that is certainly different than how most people see the campaign, but there is nothing wrong with that.
  15. My post isn't really about the installation 01, I was just referencing it because people know what it is here. Please don't take one thing I said and use it to disregard the rest. I don't know if you were, just please don't.
  16. What are the plans and goals of the YouTube channel?
  17. I just mean the campaign and story itself, like the writing and level design and acting and stuff
  18. I remember that game in former, I spent so long studying the picture and what was said.
  19. What are your earliest Halo Reach memories and experiences
  20. The Halo 5 campaign is widely considered bad, so is there anything good or positive about the Halo 5 campaign?
  21. They made her, and everyone else a mediocre character, so that ccould be why she seems different. I have seen theories out there that she could be the didact using the domain to trick everyone, but I am not sure
