theres gonna be a title update that will illiminate bloom on the dmr, add bleed trough (if you don't know what that is, it will make the beat downs like halo 3) and bring back the halo CE: 3-headshot-pistol-kill

you have obviously never played Halo 3. Reach is a good game by normal game standards, however compaired to the previous halo games, it doesn't even come close. Its not having "high expectations" (to quote you), its having realistic expectations: Why wouldn't 343 want to have a good game?

If the next gen Xbox console releases next year, there will be no question as to wether the game will release on the new platform or not. BUT THATS A BIG IF.You would think that Microsoft would have at least hinted that perhaps a new console would be on its way at E3, but they didn't say a thing. Unlikely...
