They seem like it, don't they. =o But The Flood aren't technically zombies. More accurately, The Flood is a parasite that takes possession of creatures of sufficient mass and a that have a complex neural network. It then mutates the body to something suiting its purpose. While zombies are enslaved to a need to feed, The Flood bend to the will of the Gravemind. But it's easy to make that mistake. =)

Tell us your favorite Halo multiplayer map of all time and why. Also, I might be wrong about one or two of the names of the maps in the poll. I'd appreciate corrections (it's been a while). Personally, I like Construct from H3. The grav lifts and ability to jump to get down from the top level made disappearing almost too easy. Could get frustrating, but it was great when a withdrawal was necessary.

I love games and movies with zombies. The Flood are the zombies of the Halo campaigns to me.

It tickles me to know that if The Flood were in L4D, the difficulty would go up by leaps and bounds. And if it was in the Resident Evil games... So much ragequit. I don't think anyone would ever finish a game.

Yeah. The hive-mind thing is scary/efficient, and makes me wonder if that sort of telepathic link is possible in other races in the galaxy, or if the wiring for it is unique to The Flood. I know of at least one other extinct species that communicated telepathically. But they're not around the Haloverse anymore.

The Flood. Let's see here... Their modus operandi is simple, lethal, and has caused much grief. However, upon discovery of weak-points on an infected body, they become relatively easy to defeat. Scary as anything can be. It creeps me out the way an infected human or sangheilli's neck gets broken, leaving the head to hang useless. That said, however, from a scientific standpoint I find everything about the Flood fascinating.

Tell us about your favorite pastime in Halo. Doesn't matter what mode (campaign, firefight and, of course, multiplayer). I'll start. My favorite pastime has to be getting revenge kills with the Magnum, up close and personal, so they know beyond the shadow of a doubt that it was me.
