You know, it's been a while since this thread began. After all this time, I would have expected somebody to point this out: Most everyone is talking about the multiplayer mode as if the story and campaigns don't exist. I got into the series for the story. To me, multiplayer has just been an amusing sideshow that helps to stave off boredom until the next release in the series. As long as they keep making thrilling campaigns with inspiring tales and imagery, I'll keep playing. Blessings of Twam on whomever plays Halo strictly for the multiplayer. But sadness befalls me when I hear about players who don't know the first thing about Halo.

Howdy, Mr. Choot. I strongly hope that we get to see and use MJOLNÏR Mk. VII in future Halo titles. Not to be a downer, but I somehow doubt we'll see it before H5. If MJOLNÏR has always been Halsey's baby, the Chief might have to find her and bring her (or fully detailed notes by her) back home first. If that's how it's going to be, there's a chance we'll see Mk. VII at the end of H4 — perhaps only when beaten on Legendary. But unless we can get a mole inside 343i, only time will tell. I wonder what 'Class' the Mk. VII is, if the Mk. V was a 'Class 2' according to 343 Guilty Spark in CE.

Hi hi! I voted for H3's MJOLNIR and Elite armor. Though by the look of the Chief's MJOLNIR Mk. VI in the H4 teaser, they'll be revamping the look of it. And if they use it as the Base for the MJOLNIR armor in Multiplayer… Well, we'll probably see a number of familiar pieces.

Halo: Reclaimer Trilogy 'What could Happen'
Father B replied to Archon's topic in General Discussion
OOC: I must've been absolutely sloshed when I posted that because I have absolutely no recollection of it whatsoever. Anyway, I don't know what's been happening with 819, but I'm willing to put forth a scenario to continue the LFF. When he reads it he can decide if he wants to keep it. IC: PFC Mendoza rockets through foliage, zigging and sometimes even zagging around trees and large boulders. A1C Trevelyan hugs a SPNKr to his chest as he braces himself for each maneuver. All the while Pvt. Bluesky keeps watch as he bounces on bent knees from the wild ride. Suddenly, the trio comes to a break in the forest. Trees were snapped in half or crushed into the soil, and a large scar in the ground extended for near a quarter-mile. About halfway along was another 'Hog upside-down and partly sunken into the soft earth. There at the end of the scar was the downed Pelican, and on the ground nearby were a few mixed units of Grunts, Jackals and Brutes. The other team that was in the dropship, however, was not in sight. -
Will the OP in this MoM thread be updated, or can we expect a new thread?

A confession of my own… I'm sitting here in my living-room right now with my roommate and a buddy of ours. We're playing CoD: MW3 splitscreen multiplayer. Here's a brief rundown on these guys: Dave can't play many types of videogames. The only type he will play are wrestling games and turn-based RPG's. But for some inexplicable reason he loves Modern Warfare. His general tactics shift between two: • "Stand out in the open with a LMG or other fully automatic weapon and run around out in the open until you see an opponent"; obviously this one gets him killed a LOT. • And "camp like a fiend". Kevin fancies himself a CoD pro and always leads the match. But he's a camper, and on splitscreen, a screenhacker. Now, I pride myself on my honor and patience, but tonight, both have been tested quite intensely. I already dislike CoD, but neither of these two will play Halo; so, we boogie. The ensuing matches saw alternations between Dave getting killed repeatedly by Kevin, and the two of them both camping and killing me each time I'd jog on by while looking for them. I've been nearly overwhelmed by exercises in futility before, but none have come this close to making me want to put Dave's PS3 remote through his TV. Instead, I occasionally glanced at their screens and stole their kills before killing the one I stole the kill from. I did, however, resist the urge to teabag.

I'm sure you would, A-Dog, but the question wasn't "wyr be smart but ugly, attractive but stupid, or just the way you are?" The purpose of the question was to make the next poster think carefully about their values. There's very little I do without some deep reason. To choose from your given options: …have a kind and generous heart while being poor. It's pretty much true already, and I'm comfortable with it. WYR… be able to breathe naturally underwater, or fly through the air without need of a device?

That doesn't make you a sad person. It shows that you actually care about the replies of your fellow community members. Sad would be posting a topic and then forgetting about it. I associate that with spam, myself. On topic: Range Rovers. Ever since hearing about how folks convert them into Warthogs, they've become almost synonymous.

Good luck with the Machinima, guys. Until I get one of my 3 PC's up and running with an Internet connection I'm afraid I won't be able to subscribe (yet another iPhail inadequacy). Keep up the good work, lads.

Reach pro. But I'd still do it for the lolz. …have a huge IQ but average looks, OR be a perfect 10 in appearance but be as dumb as a bag of hair?

To my regret, I can't claim to have been a Haloist since it's outset in 2001. I only got into it a year after H2 had been released. A friend had CE on his PC and got stuck on The Silent Cartographer. He requested my assistance. I had never played Halo before and was a little hesitant at first. I had played Doom, Duke Nukem 64, Red Faction, and lots of Goldeneye. My buddy felt this was enough to make me a pro at the FPS genre. It was weird playing a game using the keyboard and mouse. I hadn't played PC games like that before. But I managed, and after getting used to the controls I was kicking bubblegum and chewing a** in no time. I never even relinquished the controls. I started over and stayed the entire afternoon and most of the evening. Finished after sundown and went home. And that's when I fell in love with Halo.

Big #4 "Biggles Style" Headsets, Teamwork, It's Getting Real!
Father B replied to Mr Biggles's topic in Game Help
I wish I could LAN, but my friends are either in other cities or they're strictly Playstation. I have a 360 but I got a PS3 to play games with my Sony-loving friends. Sadly, they're all lamers who won't get 360's to play Halo with me. Heck I even gave my old 360 to one of them to show how serious I was. He used it as a rutting paperweight and eventually dropped and killed it. Got a bit off-topic. Sorry. Excellent entry, Mr. Biggles. And I feel that a good headset is primary in team communication. So it was in no way superfluous. I actually kind of hoped you'd have done my in-depth headset research for me so I'd know what to look for when I get my butt back online. Entry ideas: • 'Nades: When, Where and How (Responsible 'Nading) • Music While Playing - Why, and Why Not? • Trashtalk: umad? • Teabagging: Just Say "No" And just to throw it out there… • Q&A/"Chillin' with <member name>" -
What doesn't make me think of Halo. It's terrible, really. My boss will be giving me a job and I'll be thinking of her in a blue and purple Lycra bodysuit. *sighs*

Halo: Reclaimer Trilogy 'What could Happen'
Father B replied to Archon's topic in General Discussion
"Comes pre-loaded, plus two more in the case!" Bluesky yells over the roar of the engine. He was white-knuckled, holding on for dear life. If the Covvies don't kill me, this guy's driving just might. -
I could take being RANMAN for a day, I think. …live long but not prosper, or live shortly while prospering like a boss?
-
Kurt, I have to wonder if you and he are still friends. Real friends don't treat each other that way, y'know? And I'm led to believe that your relationship lacked the necessary mutual respect that makes real friends stick together. Am I mistaken? Are you two still friends?
-
Arby. Pretty sure he can…still… Poontang. Whoa. Deja vu. …be trapped in The Library, or aboard an infested High Charity?
-
Woot! Black folks ftw! In your face, albinos! …be Pvt. Donut or just yourself?

I'll takemy chances with the five-year-olds. …be black or albino?

Post in Jester's "Member Suggestions" thread if you haven't already, BB. Personally, I've always felt that the Shoutbox should be a fully real-time chatroom. Might not be able to see it on every page, but real-time!
