  1. I played Halo 1, 2, 3 and reach on Heroic, I tryed 4 on normal and I could not continue through it, it was so hard! I had to play on easy and I died a lot. Does anyone find 4 the hardest Halo?
  2. Now, we will discuss which weapon is harder to use overall, the DMR? Or, the Battle Rifle. Pros and Cons of the BR: The BR is a 3 round burst weapon with bullet power vs. shields = to 1/3 of a DMR round. Thus, if all rounds from the Burst connect, it is = to the 1 bullet of the DMR. The BR appears to have perhaps, slightly more aim-assist than the DMR, and has a wider reticle. However, in a typical fight, both players move back and forth while firing to make it harder for your opponent to hit you, unless your Ninja or something, you will probably miss at least 1/3 of the burst with the BR. The logic is simple, when an opponent is moving like this,, he will dodge part of your burst unless your reticle is following him the whole time. Now, this is harder than it sounds, when following an opponent with your reticle, he has a step in front of you, meaning, he can initiate a change in direction before you change your reticle's direction, so he acts first, you then miss a bullet. As you should know, the BR is 13 bullets to kill, last being in the head. Thus, a 5 shot. You then see that the BR has some "forgiveness" to it. But, if you miss a bullet in each burst, do you still have your last forgiveness shot? Lets count, 1st shot, 15-1=14, 2nd shot, 14-1=13. You now see that you can only miss 2 bullets to have your last forgiveness shot in the head. Missing a bullet in a BR burst is very easy to do, and very hard not to do if he is attempting to "Juke" you. Pros and Cons of the DMR: Slightly less aim-assist. Single Fire, high rate of fire, accuracy, low bloom, 5-shot kill. Now, if you miss a shot with the DMR, then there is no forgiveness, you will go from a 5 shot, to a 6 shot. However, with the DMR you only must land 5 shots, not 15. Lets say your opponent is going left, you then aim left at his head then start firing. Bullet connect bullet connect bullet connect, you then land 3 bullets on your opponent, he changes direction you then pump a shot at his head, but your reticle is away from him after you hit him, you then quickly re-aim and finish the kill. If you were fighting with a BR, at the point where he changed direction, you would've missed part of a burst. All this being said, I would have to go with the BR being more difficult to use. If you disagree, then tell me why. Know something I missed about either weapons? Then tell me about it! And I will research and take it into consideration. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread, and happy 2013! I wish you all good games, and good times.
  3. I'm a completionist. I enjoy going after the Commendations in Halo to give me sometime to work towards. I've been playing a lot of Spartan Ops and slayin' a bunch of Covies and Forerunners. I actually already have the Backstab Commendation mastered My question is: Does the Difficulty Level, such as Normal, Heroic, or Legendary, upgrade or downgrade the enemy's rank? Some of the enemies have different ranks; I.E. Knights are Regular, Commander, Battlewagon, etc. Each class of enemy has a few different ranks which pertain to certain commendations. A few Commendations I have 4/6 whereas some are still 0/6 since various ranks are harder to run into. Since getting these Commendations is much easier on Normal, is it worth doing them on Legendary to encounter higher ranked enemies? Or does this just give the enemies more health, better shields, more accuracy, etc.?
  4. Sorry if this has been asked before or been addressed. Are there any plans for campaign matchmaking like Bungie did in Halo Reach? It just made things so convenient if you wanted to play campaign with a bunch of other people at whatever time you wanted. Really great for a guy like me who either has friends that don't have a 360, or the ones that do are really busy and only available at times I'm not available. And yeah, you can go online to some forums and post that you want to start a campaign up, you might get lucky and there will actually be people who want to play at that time that just so happen to be browsing the forums at that time as well, but typically what happens is, you get responses 2-3 hours later (from people who want to play).

  6. New ways to play (coutesy of GameInformer) "When you boot up Mass Effect 3 for the first time, you'll be asked to choose from three possible game modes. These modes represent the different types of players Bioware has realized are all trying to enjoy its games. Here's how it breaks down:" - Phil Kollar Roleplaying This is the traditional Mass Effect experience, providing deep story choices where you're in full control and challenging combat tuned to normal difficulty. Action This mode turns on automatic dialogue, a new feature that will get rid of converstion options, turning Mass Effect 3 into more linear shooter experience. "It's not that they don't like the story," Hudson says of the players mode is targeting. "They all love the story. In fact, the story is so important to them that they feel like the choices are intimidating." Hudson explains that action mode provides a mix of paragon and renegade choices, creating a "default path that gives you access to alot of cool things." Story Given Mass Effect 3's focus on narrative, it's no surprise that some gamers would prefer to stick to this part of the game. Hudson describes this group: "We have a lot of feedback from people who say, 'Your games look really cool, and I love the idea of the story and the characters. It looks awesome when I watch it on Youtube, but I'm just not coordinated with a shooter. I would play it if I could figure out how to do combat.'" Story mode is Bioware's answer. In this mode, combat is dialed down to be extremely fast and relatively easy. "Generally, if you're trying, you're not going to die," Hudson says.
