  1. Hi everyone, Spartan here with Site Poll 88. Last week we talked about the likelihood of Blue Team being in Halo Infinite. On the whole, the community thinks we will see Blue Team, but whether they'll be playable or not isn't clear to us. Click here to view the last poll, 87. What alien races will be in Halo Infinite? Despite all the talk about Halo Infinite, I am yet to hear discussion about which species will show up. It's almost certain we'll see Sangheili (Elites), but how about the Yanme'e (Drones) or even the Huragok (Engineers)? Cortana broadcasted to pretty much the whole Galaxy, right? We know the Unggoy (Grunts) are siding with her. In this case, where there's no order, all species of Jackal will go to piracy, as they have always done. We shouldn't see them ally themselves with Cortana, but it's not surprising for there to be a few individuals who would join a mercenary group. The Jiralhanae (Brutes) would most likely not be seen, unless some join Cortana. Issue with them is they really are scattered all over the place, so it's unlikely we'll find some major Brute faction, the Banished were the best there'll ever be unless they all unite. Then there are some other minority species, such as the Yonhet and Sharquoi. With Cortana trying to get all buddy-buddy with every race, and many others opposing her, what alien races do you think we'll be seeing in Halo Infinite? A few familiar faces from previous games/media, or even something entirely new? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  2. Hi everyone, Spartan here with site poll #87. Last week I asked which armour unlock system you'd like to see in Halo Infinite, and the consensus came to Reach's system, with aspects of Halo 3/4's unlcok requirements. There were many great posts, and what made them even better was the suggestion of bringing back the Vidmaster challenges. Click here to view the last poll, #86. Will we see Blue Team again in Halo Infinite? To be honest, there's actually no confirmation (yet) that Blue Team will be in Halo Infinite. Did 343 saying that Infinite will focus on Chief, mean Blue Team will also be cut out the picture? Having them in Halo 5 was great, and needed at one point or another, but was that just a one time thing? Blue Team will be essential in the fight against Cortana, whether we see them in the game or they head back to the books is yet to be confirmed. Do you think we'll see them again, or not? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  3. Hi everyone, Spartan here with site poll #81. Last week we talked about whether 2013's E3 teaser was actually Halo 6, and some likely possibilities were suggested. Click here to view the last poll, #80. Why Halo Infinite, and not Halo 6? Initially it looked like a prequel, but it's pretty much been confirmed that Infinite is Halo 6. Besides the first game, every mainline Halo title has had a number as a suffix, why change now? Some may say 343 don't wanna sound like Final Fantasy (e.g. Halo 15), but I'll miss seeing the number after "Halo" in that classic Halo font. The fact it isn't "Halo 6" further influenced the thought that this will be a prequel, but now we know that most likely isn't the case. What we don't know, is why "Infinite"? What does it mean? Someone leaked that a "Halo Infinity" is set to be shown at E3, and they were close with that name. When I heard this, I though it would be a side-game and or potentially a series, appearing alongside Halo 6, but now we know it's Halo 6 itself. What do you all think this means, and why do you think 343 decided to make this change? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  4. The Halo 4/5 art styles are really just different species (or "ethnicities") of alien races being depicted. This is made clear in the Kilo-five trilogy, the appearance of most Elites, Jackals, and Grunts is canon. Some are clearly not, such as the Arbiter's, and this is due to resource limits. The reason both species aren't shows is because of time constraints, and resources. The ultimate solution is to have all species shown, and this may well be possible for Halo 6. If 343 can show all species, or at least the ones that should be there by canon, Halo 6 will be almost perfect already. Of course there are many things that can be improved/developed, but the appearances in-game and in cutscenes are too important to be sacrificed. Halo's most important aspect, in many people's opinions, is its lore. 343 have done an outstanding job with Halo Wars 2. They show both the original species from "Bungie's" Halos, and the "343" species. This is what all future Halo titles need. It makes sense, and breaks no canon or lore. Why would there only be all of one species in a specific military? There would be a mix, like we see in Halo Wars 2. For the Covenant, the only "mix" we see is with grunts, and that's perfectly fine. It could make sense that all of Let Volir's crew was full of were the Halo CE/2/3/Reach species shown. We can safely assume that there were some Halo 4/5 species during the older games as well, just not depicted. The Arbiter, Thel Vadam, certainly needs his real appearance back in all future titles, but all the rest (not previously confirmed Elites) can be mixed. The Kig-Yar have 3 different species confirmed, with names. The Sangheili don't need different species names, they're not that different and wouldn't distinguish each other in that way. They Unggoy, I can't say, would love to see some more differentiation between the Halo 4/5 ones and those prior though. The reason we may see 343 succeed in this area with Halo 6 is because of the time spent on Halo 6's development; clearly a lot longer. It will most likely drop in 2019 or 2020, and will be a huge success in the eyes of it's followers if 343 mix these styles together. They could be working on it right now as you read this. It will revive the dead horse everyone keeps kicking, and grow it from a colt to a stallion. This will be even better than before, because we see things how they really are, with all species (or the ones which are meant to be there canonically) involved. If 343 don't do this, it would be very disappointing, and more hope would be lost. I'm confident they know what to do now, and have known for the past 2 years. Halo Wars 2 has reassured me, and I hope to see both styles in future titles. Bringing back the old and getting rid of the new is not the way to do it. That will only make it worse, it won't make much sense, and completely get rid of newly introduced species (which have canonically been there from the start). We need both, and I put my faith in 343 to not fail us.
  5. Hello everyone, I am writing this post to highlight significance of the engineers in Halo 6. They should indeed play a vital role, and here's why: After the human-covenant war, humanity began acquiring Huragok, most of which had knowledge from the time of the Forerunners. This explains the major technological advancements seen in Halo 4, compared to the state of UNSC technology in Halo 3. These engineers are stationed upon every UNSC ship by the time of Halo 5, 2558, and they make technological advancements wherever possible. They were allowed to reproduce, each new engineer inheriting the knowledge of its parent(s). These engineers are essentially organic computers; biological AI. They learn, and serve humanity, with no opposition. It's like an AI without rampancy, they have no reason to fear humans, and the UNSC takes good care of them. We give them new tech to work with, and they make it even better. Did I mention they live for technology? So it's really a win-win situation, and here's how they tie in to Halo 6. When Cortana calls for all species to join her revolution, the engineers will certainly not be convinced. They essentially share the same value as us, and will support humanity and its allies against any potential threat. They have nothing to gain from joining Cortana, and will certainly remain with humanity over the Created. Despite the fact Cortana now controls the Prometheans, these engineers are aware of Forerunner knowledge that could give us the upper hand. One engineer can make a major difference, we essentially have a fleet of them. I strongly believe these engineers will play a vital role in countering the Created. Not only are they resistant to Cortana's persuasion, but they are pure intelligence which understand the Domain and how to deal with forerunner tech better than anyone else, and faster. Despite Halsey's exceptional intelligence which was certainly a valuable asset, there's nothing new that she or any other scientist can deal with better than the engineers. They are faster, and more efficient in every way than any other human. We'll need them, and should certainly see them in Halo 6. With them, we won't have to worry about not understanding anything, troops can be sent in with a definite goal assuming the Huragok have analysed everything necessary. I don't believe they'll continue to play a background role, they're now going to be more important than they've been for the past 5 years. What are your thoughts? How do you think the engineers will tie into Halo 6, if at all? - Spartan
  6. This is going to be lengthy, so for those about to endeavor into the black hole I call a forum post, I salute you (TL;DR provided at end). I have been playing Halo all of my life, and I have an emotional connection to it that I don't have with any other game. My dad and I used to play the game together while I was growing up, spending hours upon hours just trying to get all the skulls and beat the games on legendary. I loved every damn minute of it, and that is still considered the best season of my life. My dad died my freshman year of high school, and still today, the halo series is my favorite video game series ever because I can go play it and just remember my dad and how much it meant to him to play with me. We were both so lost in the story of the game, and I had never been happier. I love this series with all of my heart. You have done a great job with what you were given, it is nearly impossible to satisfy an entire fanbase for something as large as halo, and seeing you continue to improve halo 5 well beyond its release is fantastic to see. These will be a few things that I think you could incorporate that would make halo 6 be a game that could rival even the first trilogy (as far as campaign goes). This is more for me than anyone else seeing as how this won't get noticed by 343i First off, Music. This is SOOOO important to many people like me who need to feel the emotion while playing. I felt like a bad *** at all the right times in the original trilogy, and also felt the sadness and seriousness when I was supposed to. The music is so important to this! I think along with a few adjustments to the music style now, the only thing I would touch is the volume. This is very noticeable in halo 4. My FAVORITE song from the halo soundtracks (besides under cover of night) is "Arrival" in halo 4. Pre-release, that song singlehandedly would get me juiced for halo 4. But when I played the campaign, the music was so quiet! that song came on at the perfect moment, but I could not enjoy it. You made such a beautiful blend of badassery and emotion into one song and then let it sit in the background. Please make music more of a focus in H6. Next is keep the extended universe to a minimum please! I didn't read any halo novels until after I completed the original trilogy and everything there was what I needed to know. I felt like the characters mattered, and they were all so cool and real. I come in to halo 5 and IDK what is even going on, like who the hell is this squad and why do I care? Buck is the only person who I was able to even recognize and relate to. Locke was so underdeveloped within the game, and that left a bad taste in the mouth. I don't want to have to spend a ton of time outside of the game to understand why I'm shooting. Just include a better narrative with the characters please! Also side note, please remove the squad system. I know that you want to introduce new things to the game, and i applaud you for being courageous enough to try, but your current campaign style just doesn't go with the halo games. And this last one is something that I have missed so much: REWARDING armor. Make us WORK for our armor, not just randomly give it out. H3 armor was so cool to me, and having to get achievements for armor made me invest so much time into the game, and I loved every second. The hayabusa armor baby let me tell you what I was the flyest 12 year old in the world. And the vid master MY GOD the vidmasters. I loved it and I know a lot of the community did too. Make it so that it isn't just head torso and legs. Add back in arms shoulders. I just want to get lost in the game looking for all of its little intricacies, and I can't really do that with these new halos. I am prob the only one that wants this but..... BRING BACK THE FLOOD PLEASE. They added so much depth and importance to your actions. They were a threat to the whole galaxy, and they were so freaky I loved it. Such a good enemy. It just doesn't feel like halo without them. A fist fight scene with chief. The halo 5 one was disappointing. It seemed slow and not like a supersoldier was throwing a punch. Ever move was telegraphed and easy to dodge. I want to see chief, the man who saved the f****** universe kick someones ***. Make the game rated M again, I want blood like the old days. Shoot an enemy, blood comes out. Simple. Finally, make your marketing campaign as epic, emotional, and gritty as halo 3's. When i see starry night to this day I die a little inside, and I get goosebumps. It was such a genius campaign, I want to feel that way for halo 6 so bad, I really do. The believe campaign was so good. Please 343 if nothing else, THIS. We love you 343i, we just want to see the best for the series that means so much to so many. Thanks for reading guys, have a blessed one. See you on the battlefield! TL;DR Improvements to music, minimizing of need for reading outside materials such as books for depth to story, rewarding of armor not microtransaction lottery thus giving campaign more replay value, bring back the motha F***** Flood, A GOOD fist fight scene with chief, Make the game rated M, and finally take note of the halo 3 believe advertisements.
  7. I do not think 343i should work on and release Halo 3 Anniversary before Halo 6. The reason is that due to 343i working on Halo MCC and Halo 5 and rushing, two games were launched incomplete and broken. I do not want the same thing to happen to Halo 6. I think Halo 6 could be a great game, possibly the next Halo 3 for the community, so I want them to put all their focus on Halo 6. I do want Halo 3 Anniversary eventually, but I want them to take their time with Halo 6. I think after Halo 6 is released, than I would want them to start development on H3A, but again take time with it and release it as a complete game.
  8. Hey guys! Frank O'Connor mentioned in an interview last year that we were better-off petitioning to bring split-screen multiplayer back for Halo 6. Well here it is, Frankie! Please sign and share this petition. Let's show 343 that split-screen is still important to us! https://www.change.org/p/343-industries-bring-split-screen-multiplayer-back-for-halo-6?recruiter=1146767&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink
  9. Most would agree that Halo 5 is a success. It has had better feedback than Halo 4 did, and 343 improved on everything. It's not often you hear a complaint about Halo 5, and when you do it's nothing major. With all that, there's always room for improvement. For me, there are two features I want: - A UNSC Aircraft We've had the Hornet in Halo 3 and the Falcon in Halo: Reach, but since then we've had no UNSC aircraft for use in-game. Now they've introduced the Phaeton, which is great, but there's only Forerunner and Covenant aircraft available to us. The Hornet and Falcon are most likely decommissioned, they're out of date. A new UNSC Aircraft is needed, we all know it. - Firefight We need more PvE combat, and it's definitely Firefight. Spartan Ops served as a replacement in Halo 4, but most thought Classic Firefight was irreplaceable. Surviving endless waves of Covenant with limited lives was great back in ODST. If 343 bring this back, I'm sure many will be pleased. Now, what would you like to see in Halo 6? Do you agree/disagree with my thoughts? Is there anything you'd like 343 Industries to remove in Halo 6? Share your thoughts below. Thanks for reading.
  10. It seems 343 is moving on again. Small groups of people at 343 have already started the creative process, and even a few lines. "We do kind of know what’s going to happen in the next game pretty well at this point," explains franchise development director Frank O’Connor. "We’re doing serious real planning and even some writing on the next game already, and that’s a luxury – we’ve never been in that position before. So we both know at a very high level what’s going to happen in, say, ten years from now. But at that very granular level knowing what’s going to happen in the next game and that’s just been a great feeling for me." As it appears, Bonnie is mobilizing Frank O'Connor and a few teams to "really lay the fictional foundation for the next 20 years." Bonnie also points out that several ideas playing a part in Halo 6 are already layed out. Stating they had to know where they were going by the end of Halo 4. Frank O'Connor has displayed caution, however in this, saying that starting too soon and too fast could change Halo's world and change plans. Frankie says: " ... [if] you start making those stepping stones too rigid, then you’re not being realistic about the game development process. That process could change the story but we know what’s going to happen in the next game, and we kind of know what’s going to happen to the Master Chief ultimately. " Halo 5 is finished. Halo 6 is (probably has been) in development! source: http://343i.org/36m
  11. I think 343 should include a RTS/FPS hybrid game mode. When I play Halo wars I always look at my three Spartans in the field and think "Wow, I really wish I could choose to play that character in first person." Imagine playing Halo wars and having a team of six spartans on the field which are all human players and when you select them and give them a command, it appears as a waypoint or an objective marker on their screen, giving them the distance to their objective and the details of the objective JUST LIKE IN A CAMPAIGN MISSION! If done properly, this game mode would seem like an entire unique campaign each match. I think the best way to do this would be to treat the firebase as a vehicle that the commander can operate from within or exit and fight as a spartan in first-person view; this allows even the person commanding armies to still have their personalized character in the match. If you want to get carried away allow players to be the captains of ships and make the map the size of whole galaxy with landmarks such as planets Earth, Harvest, Reach as well as High charity and all of the locations visited in all of the Halo Games prior.
  12. The Future of Halo will no longer considered a "trilogy" but rather a "Saga". According to an article released last week, future titles will no longer be numbered like previous titles. According to Forbes contributor Paul_Tassi .... Last week, before Microsoft pulled a 180 on their DRM and internet policies, I remarked that because the Xbox One was in a rather rough spot, it was going to have to rely on Halo as a system seller now more than ever. The playing field has been leveled a bit since then with the death of license-based disc games and internet check-in, but it’s a statement that still holds true. Microsoft seems to agree. That’s why it’s been announced that 343′s Reclaimer Trilogy, which was meant to be Halos 4, 5 and 6, has now transformed into something Microsoft is now calling a Halo “saga.” This idea sprung to life when they were pressed about what exactly the Halo title was that was shown at E3, as it didn’t have a number or even a subtitle. Would it be an add-on type game like ODST, or another full Halo game like the numbered installments? The answer is the latter, though whether it will be called Halo 5 isn’t clear and might be beside the point now anyway. With that news, Phil Spencer spoke to Gamespot about the new plan for upcoming Halo games: “While we originally said trilogy, we’ve actually expanded this to more of a saga, so we don’t want to limit the Reclaimer story within a trilogy.” What this potentially might mean is that Microsoft wants to bump up the frequency of Halo titles. I don’t think it would be physically possible to turn it into a yearly Call of Duty style release with only 343 working on it, nor do I think that would be good for the series. But we might see a higher occurrence of the games all the same. When all the DRM/always-on drama was going down, I posed a question to Xbox loyalists/Halo enthusiasts about whether or not the games exclusivity on the one would make them buy a system. The response was an overwhelming no. Partly because Microsoft’s policies were too intrusive to stomach, but a fair amount said that Halo just didn’t have the same draw that it used to have after six shooter titles. Many were more excited about Destiny or Titanfall, new IPs from trusted studios, including Halo’s former masters, Bungie. That said, Halo is still a powerful franchise for Microsoft to wield, and by “unrestricting” themselves from a trilogy, it’s clear they have big plans for the series. So there you have it! Future Halos will no longer be numbered with new titles planning to be released more frequently. Also note the response to the "exclusivity on the One would make them buy a system"... "response was an overwhelming NO." What does this mean for the franchise that alot of gamers deemed the "best first person shooter"?? Guess we will have to wait and see what Microsoft and 343Industries have planned. Image and content courtesy of Forbes.com.
  13. Ok, whilst I am busy, I will post on here another plot line I was thinking about for the next halo installments. As they have yet to announce what the story will be, I am continuously day dreaming about different stories, so I figured I would post another. It involves Cortana and some previously mentioned/ already considered plot derivatives. I will post a full version later tonight.

  15. I was wondering if anyone shared the same views as I, in the field that we should have at least a minor say in the creation/management of future titles in the Reclaimer Trilogy, since we as an xbox community told Microsoft what we didn't want with the Xbox One and they changed it, regardless that is was mainly shaped by money. This led me to think if MS would listen then certainly 343 would, anyway vote and discuss.
  16. Hello Everybody! I was new to this forum in April, lol. Finally found my way around to the PM box and of course it had a message stating I should probably try posting an introduction as it may help for people getting to know me. So figured I would post about me, or at least a little bit about me, and why I decided to join. Me -- I love and currently dream all things Halo related (books, games, online stories, fan fiction, personal fiction, canon, etc) probably wouldn't find someone as intensely interested in the Halo universe as me (though I know those people exist lol) -- From Canada, Newmarket more specifically, and not a fan. Its cold and hot, never an in between, and for some reason I find myself wishing it would rain more (though that may be my British background doing its job) -- New to forums and online discussions - never been on or taken part in anything online and figured I would try it, see how it goes (no better way to start out than talking about the things you love I suppose) Why I joined -- I love Halo - almost every aspect and detail intrigues me. And so, to broaden my already diverse intellect on Halo, I joined to share my ideas, thoughts, opinions on the Halo universe, and to hear, share, and read other peoples ideas, thoughts, and opinions. Halo will always be a part of my life that I would never want to change, and so, I would rather add to my already intense obsession, simply because it is one of the few things in my life that I enjoy. Feel free to reply or message me. I don`t bite, am open to discussion for most things, and am a generally nice guy. *****I want to post this emoticon even though I don`t know its purpose but the sight of a smiley spanking another smiley make me smile.
  17. Here is an idea that might actually get some interest. I, like so many Halo geeks, am somewhat fascinated by the Hunter species, particularly the fact that they are a collectivist species of several worms. First, I am curious about the Hunter home world, their culture, and what other possible species or variations might exist. I first brought this idea up in this topic. So, the idea goes like this, and has two parts: Part One: In a future Halo installment, such as Halo 6, we could be introduced to a new Hunter-like enemy (or enemies?), one that is more agile perhaps, offering a new Elite like enemy, but with its own unique qualities. This offers new variety to the game without necessarily losing the core elements. Also, new weapons, Armor Abilities, etc. The second part of this idea goes like this: 343 could run a trillogy with this Hunter-type character as the hero in this new saga. We could learn more about the Hunter home world and I think it woud be a way to explore something new within the Halo Universe. What are your thoughts? CV
  18. My hopes for Halo's story, as it would make for some epic FPS missions and one of the greatest science fiction stories ever made. What is known: FORERUNNER --the Didact is for certain the Ur-Didact --the Librarian is dead - Chant-to-Green took her place as Lifeshaper --the Iso-Didact was still alive after the firing of the Halos (Bornstellar) --343 Guilty Spark was Chakas --there was a forerunner colony in another galaxy far from the reaches of the Halos (the most probable place the forerunners fled too after reseeding the galaxy) --that 6 of the original 7 Halos remain (from the Lesser Ark) --that a city of nearly 2 million people had been composed (end of Halo 4) --the Ur-Didact's interest in Cortana (...."this evolved ancilla") HUMAN --Master Chief was/is the only Spartan 2 left alive --humanity has begun cataloging all the halos and forerunner artifacts in their galaxy --humanity has also begun to integrate their technology with forerunner technology --Dr. Halsey was kidnapped by the Storm Covenant, obtained the Janus Key. The key was split in two: half was kept by Dr. Halsey, the other was given to Spartan Gabriel Thorne --Cortana supposedly died/ended service after the destruction of the Ur-Didact's ship --Cortana was created/found by Dr. Halsey on Reach, in an ancient forerunner complex, housing a crystal FLOOD --even a single flood spore can house the memories and intellect of every flood being before it --originated from powdered Precursors --used as an act of vengeance upon the forerunner race --no cure - even though it is eluded that humanity had a cure, this was later discredited when it was revealed that the flood had simply receeded from human space, not infecting them --supposedly destroyed at the end of Halo 3 COVENANT --Arbiter has returned to rebuild his home world --Storm Covenant was/is a covenant fleet sent to Requiem after being founded in 2553 after Halo 3 --now in the possession of Dr. Halsey and part of the Janus Key MY STORY PREDICTIONS Halo 4 set the story: Master Chief, awakes the Ur-Didact, bent on the destruction of the human race to prove that they are unworthy to bear the Mantle of Responsibility. Ultimately, it would seem as though the Didact failed, his ship destroyed, and he himself is MIA. though there would be a darker plot afoot. What-ifs: The Ur-Didact mentioned on his ship, through voice overs, the "secret you have kept from me........this evolved ancilla". My question is, what is the only ancilla created after the Ur-Didact was put into stasis or the only ancilla the Ur-Didact may not have ever seen or come into contact with? There are 3 answers: Cortana who is made by Dr. Halsey, the ancilla the Librarian gave to Bornstellar or...... Offensive Bias. Offensive Bias was made between finding the Ur-Didact and the firing of the Halos. But it is never mentioned that he saw or interacted with this ancilla. Offensive Bias was more cold and calculating, but in the terminals seemed very..... human like or personable shall we say. Gender is never mentioned as it is an ancilla so gender is irrelevant. May extrapolation is that Cortana was/is Offensive Bias, merely re-written by Dr. Halsey. Which would still leave the canon that she was "made" by Dr. Halsey but alter Cortana's own backstory, making the plot I have devised even more intriguing. The Ur-Didact can clearly be heard speaking in the epilogue of Halo 4. His speech is directed at Forerunners, that much is made very clear. He seems to be addressing a collective. Knowing that forerunners survived and ultimately relocated to another galaxy. To which galaxy, I dare say the one that was discovered by the Librarian in the time before the last Forerunner-Flood War. It would make sense that they ultimately chose to relocate there because of the abundance of Forerunners, and because of the Organic Domain they had on that world. And further extrapolation would suggest the forerunners to have survived the halos firing would have also moved out to that galaxy, it would only be fair to suggest that forerunners are once again a powerful civilization (having been given 100,000 years and having the technology they had taken with them to those other forerunners in the other galaxy, it would only be fair to say they have become larger in scope). Which would mean that the Ur-Didact was sent, along with the raw data collected by the composer, to Requiem (as eluded to in Spartan Ops via the episodes) and then left for this galaxy (Or the speech he was giving was a foretelling of the story for Halo 5). Master Chief is a human Spartan 2 soldier. That much we understand. However, it was noted that, when humanity was reseeded on the world Erde-Tyrene, the geas left by the Librarian was removed from humanity. Everybody was screened before departing from the forerunner ships, and all traces of the Librarian were removed. Though, the Librarian herself mentions the "gene plans" she had placed in "you". As well, the line "1000 lifetimes of planning", which would mean the Librarian has an active knowledge of Living Time, meaning she could not have been just a "recording". I would venture a guess as to say the Librarian survived the firing of the Halos. To what extent I do not know but I can speculate that she may not be forerunner anymore (AI/digital or perhaps even.......flood). Back to the Master Chief; he was spoken to by above mentioned Librarian. She apparently activated the gene plan she had implemented in humanity years before hand. Now there are two explanations: (1) it really was a gene plan enacted by the Librarian after the firing of the Halos and the reseeding of humanity or (2)......it was brevet mutation. The chamber the chief was in when this occurred was observed to have a view of the outside (direct view of the stars and space, as required for any mutation). Something else that is interesting is that when you see Master Chief's face in the Legendary epilogue of Halo 4, he has no eyebrows. Curious. The game developers make a point of ensuring all of the other human characters have eyebrows except the MC. Now, please enlighten me as to who has no eyebrows and is a member of another species? Answers: the Arbiter and ....the Ur-Didact. Every forerunner seen has had no eyebrows, which is interesting. Now, to be more clear as to why I believe the MC underwent a brevet mutation: the Ur-Didact underwent a brevet mutation before composing his army, and became immune to the Composer, which is exactly what happened when MC was "accelerated" by the Librarian. The flood are not done, never will be. Halo's story line is dripping with Flood everywhere, to eliminate the possibility of the Flood returning to the franchise would be dismissive as they are crucial to the story. Now in which manor they come back, I am not sure, though I guess as to a few ways. MY PREDICTIONS TO SUMMARIZE AND CLARIFY: I believe Cortana is Offensive Bias in one form or another. --she will be found alive and well, though ashamed and upset that she never told MC --she will also be the most controversial character in this trilogy of games, my reasons are below in the MC section The Ur-Didact will assemble the forerunner race in force to strip humanity of the Mantle, as the Ur-Didact wishes to prove the Precursors wrong that Humanity was meant to inherit the Mantle --he may or may not become infected by the flood (would be cool to see) --I do not believe that he will die (or if he does, he will have made peace with the MC) --I think the ending to this trilogy will see him and humanity 'together' in some form or another The Librarian is alive, though she may be flood infected, helping humanity to inherit the Mantle through 'alternative ways' --she and Cortana have a plot afoot involving the MC --has a vested interest in the MC and humanity (more than a forerunner would) Now for a plot twist: I believe that the Master Chief is actually Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting. Now I have many reasons to believe as such. --the Librarian had prior knowledge of him, his suit, and his ancilla --refers to him as 'You' and addresses him a less than formal manner different to how she addressed Dr. Halsey in Requiem --preformed what I believe was a brevet mutation on him - which if you watch all the Halo 4 cut scenes you would notice MC's height difference from start to finish, Commander Palmer is dwarfed by him in the epilogue, yet is only a few inches shorter than him when they first meet. --and he has no real back story, that he refers to that is known as fact --Dr. Halsey has a vested interest in him, more than any other Spartan --yes I know, he is supposed to have 6 fingers, but that could easily be explained. --it was mentioned that Bornstellar could return to being a maniplar if he so desired, and so I believe he did, so he could live the way he intended to It is my belief that the Master Chief is Bornstellar because I believe there to be more in depth back story as to the departure of the Forerunner's from the galaxy. MY VERSION OF HALO BACK STORY: I believe Bornstellar had himself put into stasis with Offensive Bias. When he went into stasis, he said the lines: "Wake me when you need me." to Offensive Bias, and so humanity found them some years later. Dr. Halsey being assigned to the project, interacted with Offensive Bias first, and having done so, integrated her own mind with its, thereby making Cortana. Halsey explained that a living forerunner, especially one that was a warrior-servant (knowledge gained through their time conversing) would be a valuable asset to humanity. Though, Halsey explained further, it would be a liability if he were to remember who he was, and what he did. So, Cortana rewrote his memory, giving him made up memories of a life he would have lived as a human. The Spartan 2 program started, with new technology garnered from Cortana and Master Chief (suit, interface, etc.) (1) Librarian: She survived the firing of the Halos on earth, and watched over humanity. Currently lives on earth, and has yet to found. (2) Librarian: Survived the firing of the halos, though was infected by the flood. Made a pact with the flood to eradicate the forerunner civilization, and to give humanity the Mantle. GAME PLOTS - FUTURE MEDIA I believe Halo 5 will focus mostly on the retrieval of the Janus Key and Dr. Halsey. Halsey will then at some point during the course of her rescue reveal a partial truth to MC about Cortana and him, and what they really are. She will say more about Cortana's origins rather than his, as she feels it is Cortana's responsibility to tell MC the truth. She then reveals that with the Janus Key, it is possible to find Cortana (Offensive Bias) using it (the All Record). Further along in the story it is revealed that the flood is alive, and has infected the Storm Covenants forces, and that an inner war between the flood and the Covenant ensues - near the All Record. The Ur-Didact towards the end of the game, jumps out of slip space with an army of forerunners and prometheans - near earth, in the epilogue. I believe Halo 6 will focus more on the retrieval of Cortana from the All Record, and the information she has in regards to MC and humanity. I think this is when the Flood will reveal its true nature, in and that it wanted humanity to attain the Mantle, not forerunners, and in order to make this a reality, it had to draw out the remaining forerunners using MC and humanity (this is probably when the Librarian will reveal her pact with the flood to ensure humanity's survival). In order to save humanity, MC rushes through slip space with the help of the Flood to Earth, and confronts the Ur-Didact. Upon realizing his inevitable defeat, he makes peace with the MC, revealing to him that he is Bornstellar, whilst Cortana confirms it. The Didact then realizes what he must do in order to stop the flood........ too many hypotheses to list, suffice to say, it will be a grande finale. CONCLUSIONS Though I may be completely wrong, and many of my ideas have there fair share of holes in terms of explanation. I believe at least some of what I posted is true. More so the idea that Master Chief is not John the Spartan 2 test subject. He may not be Bornstellar, but he most definitely is not the man he thinks he is. Also I believe the portion involving Cortana is true, that she is either Offensive Bias or the Librarian's ancilla that was given to Bornstellar. I believe she will play a vital role in further games and will always be part of the Halo universe. Those are my thoughts. If you agree, disagree, have further information regarding the above mentioned, feel free to post. I always love hearing hypotheses regarding Halo story lines and back stories. ***Sorry that it is so long, I have just been wanting to voice my hopes for so long, I figured I would give as much information and evidence as to my predictions as possible.*** *** I am aware there is a thread about halo plot lines already, however being a new member, I can't seem to find it. ***
  19. Hello, I am making a rule set that will try and make this Halo 5 Forum to be a little more... organized. These are guidelines, and as I am not an admin I cannot control them. Let me start on the most important rule: Aas all of you know, most threads in this forum are suggestions. But the Halo 5 Forum isn't a suggestion forum. You can discuss things too. So if you have a suggestion, please put (Suggestion) before your thread title. This will help when looking at the all the topics in this forum, so you know what is a suggestion, and what isn't. Second rule, DON'T PUT REDUNDANT SUGGESTIONS. What that means is do not post a suggestion or discussion topic that someone else already made. Do you know how many "Cortana in Halo 5" threads there are? Just post in one that already exists, with your opinion. Third, when posting, use correct grammar and capitalize all first letters in the sentence. You wouldnt believe how many threads people cant read because of bad grammar and spelling. Try and read this: i think theyshuld ad cortanna and broot wepons in halo 5 and 6. 343 INDUSTRYS AD THIS U B*****S!,,!!!! Fourth, do not swear. Swearing does not accomplish anything but getting you booed and yelled at. Swearing in text is even worse. Thank you for taking time to read this, I will add more rules as the time goes by. If you have any suggestions for the thread, please post. Help get this pinned so everyone can read this.
  20. okay, so after seeing a bunch of theories towards whether or not Cortana is alive, or composed into a human, a very interesting thought stormed into my head. Remember how Cortana is practically a copy of Dr. Halsey (with young appearance, intellect, etc.), meaning she is an A.I. clone so to speak? What if Cortana really DOES appear as a human in Halo 6, at the same time around Halsey's death, whether that's in Halo 5 or 6. Now, not only would Halsey's death be shocking, but it would also be a HUGE metaphor towards the relations Halsey had with clones. Halsey operated the SPARTAN-II Program, which she abducted children around the age of 6 and crafted clones of them that would last about 5 years or so, seeming as if the children were never taken (brought the clones back to the original human's home). Now for the metaphor: knowing how Halsey would clone children, later proving the clones would die off quick, it would be a grand twist to see Halsey dying around the time Cortana, "her clone", is revived (by being "composed" in Halo 4) as a human. Basically, Halsey had clones die in the past while her "clone" lives in the future after her death. Just an interesting brainstorm. What are your opinions?
