  1. Hi everyone, Spartan here with Site Poll 93. Last week we talked about your favourite ships, both Covenant or UNSC. We had many great mentions that certainly make for an interesting read. Click here to view the last poll, 92. Who's your favourite Captain/Shipmaster? Both Captain and Shipmaster mean the same thing. The head of the vessel. The leader. One term's more commonly used with the Covenant, whilst the other with UNSC personnel. Not that "Captain" in this case simply refers to the ship's CO, not the rank. A Ship Captain may be an Admiral or a Commander, whoever's best suited at the time of appointment. There are many names to list. Hood. 'Vadum. Cole. Von. Some more moral than others, but they all had a brave heart when it came to their ship and crew. Some are long gone, others remain alive. Who stands out to you the most though? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Spartan out.
  2. Hello all, my name is Estibann [A076] and I am a Spartan-III Headhunter within the Unified Ground Command. For the longest time, UNSC clans have been almost extinguished within the Halo 5: Guardians clan community, with some moving to their own military structures and most becoming MLG. However, UniCom is a saving grace. Within UniCom each member will be given a chance to express themselves in a variety of different ways. For example, the more stealthy will find themselves at home with the ODST branch. Fear not, for each leader has had plenty of prior experience within the Halo clan community. For example, our Spartans, and leaders, have all been prior Spartans within Oni, NavCom, FleetCom and those who have not, have been trained appropriately. Let's talk divisions. - Navy. There wouldn't be a clan without a main, fighting force. The Navy, which is the starting point for all members of the clan, seeks to educate both new and existing players with the way we do things. As key as they are, Navy are the first into raids and the last ones out which jobs and ranks ranging from Corporal to Captain and beyond. If the front lines are where you what to be, this is the divison for you. - Officers. The officers mainly operate within all the divisions. Opting for tactics and planning rather than senseless violence, they are always the brains behind the operation. To an officer, each player in the team is a piece within a game of chess and all officers always grab checkmate. Strict, disciplined and wise, the officer branch is a divison only the best can reach. Are you one of them? - ODSTs. Since our clan is pretty set on lore so I'm sure you know what an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. ODSTs don't just act as our special forces, but they're inspirational to all members of the clan. Does supressed, behind-enemy-lines action take your fancy? Maybe ODSTs are for you. - Spartans. The pinicle of the "Super Soldier" title is earned by those within this branch. Both the Spartan-IIs and Spartan-IIIs have been merged into the ultimate fighting force. Within the Spartan branch, there are many pathways you can undertake. The Spartan-IIs are the officers within the branch and handle the more ocmpetative side, whereas the Spartan-IIIs deal with raids, protection and espionage activities. I hope this has given you an insight into what our clan is about. And if you do decide to join, please make sure you have a mic and are over the age of 14. During conscription into the clan, you can meet the team, choose your path and set yourself up for future success. Can't wait? Send a message to the gamertags "II S043 William" or "Falout Mechanic" and I'll see you on the battlefield!
  3. Am I the only one who thinks they should put some sort of boat or at least an amphibious vehicle? I mean come on! Spartans can't swim and having the ability to fight from the water can add a new type of gameplay to the series. Just imagine naval battles or bombing a shore from a boat!
  4. Hey I had this idea about Halo's ranking system that made a lot of sense. And does a great deal of justice to the actual canon of Halo. I posted a thread on The Flood on bungie.net about it: Here's the link to the thread: http://www.bungie.ne...iewreplies=true But here is the premise of my argument: The ranks for the multiplayer system for Halo's mulitplayer should have been Naval since Halo 3. But they weren't, they were a mix of Army/Marine ranks with the only Navy rank being "Commander". However it seems as if the ranking system for multiplayer isn't even following the ranking system of Halo's UNSC canon in the first place. Spartans are technically Navy right? Created under the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), part of the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND. I am mean why else would Halo's main bad ass be called a "Master Chief?" Here's the ranks for the UNSC Navy: http://halo.wikia.co...Navy#Navy_Ranks Here's what proves the Spartans are part of the Navy under the Navy Special Warfare Command: http://halo.wikia.co...2FNavSpecWep.29 So if 343i decides my idea is valid, I think the option I mentioned in my flood thread should be considered. "Another option they should add is whether a player would want to stay enlisted or become an officer. And have pros & cons for both choices." "Maybe something like enlisted are better fighters, officers get better equipment, or probably have some aesthetic differences at the least. Besides what Halo fan wouldn't want to have their rank be Master Chief." Also as a disclaimer, I am an enlisted member of the United States Navy. And as a Sailor I would rather see my 7ft. tall juggernaut Spartan who is suppose to be Navy have the correct ranking system.
  5. U.S. Enterprise, Essex, Saratoga, Hornet, Yorktown, Washington, John Paul Jones, South Dakota, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma, Missouri, Baltimore. British. HMS Ark Royal, HMS Hood, HMS Prince of Whales, HMS Rodney. Imperial Japanese Navy. Yamato, Musashi, Taiho, Zuikakou, German. Bismarck, Prinz Eugen. Sorry if I mispronounced any of these ships, Feel free to ask for me to add any naval warships just put what there name was and what Navy they served.
